Thing is with Farage, he has picked a seat which covers Jaywick - one of, if not the, most deprived areas in the UK. People there have felt abandoned by both sides of the political spectrum. There is little investment, high rates of unemployment, lack of opportunities etc etc. The likes of Farage comes in and tells these people that "hey, you're in this position because immigrants, because Europe etc.. but don't worry, I understand you better than all of those other politicians. I drink in the local wetherspoons, I'm just a normal guy. Down with the establishment! I will give you hope. I'll make Clacton great again etc etc". He'll speak to residents, find a scapegoat to cause division, gaslight them all into thinking that the situation is 100000% worse than it is and that HE the great messiah Nigel Farage, is the only one who can fix everything and make everything better. Combine the rhetoric with his "celebrity" status and before you know it, those disenfranchised voters feel hope, feel listened to and will turn out and vote for him. When in reality he'll deliver none of his promises. If he is elected he wont turn up after the first day. He'll just cash his paycheck and go to the USA to lick Trump's
