The Oxo advert "quiet night in" - with the kids saying Teachers sick. I wonder how old that is by now?

That ad annoys me so much.

Why is the mum so dressed up to go to the cinema? She looks like an old lady going to a WI event.

Why did her friend not WhatsApp her to say she’s cancelling? Did the eldest daughter take a message on a LANDLINE in the year 2024?

Why did the class teacher not let the parents know about judo class before they took their little shits along?

I don’t like that advert either. Mainly because it’s so obviously a scam that the little girl has pulled with her mum. Mum says to her “go into that shop, give it the old puppy dog eyes, say to the shopkeeper “it’s for my mum”, make out you don’t have any money but you’ve only got lots of crap in your pocket, and watch the shopkeeper fall for it hook, line and sinker, and give you a bar of chocolate”.

It’s not even a small bar the shopkeeper gives but the giant most expensive bar as well. The girl and her mum probably pull this scam in loads of shops

I think the reason they’ve brought this ad back is because it’s Cadbury’s 200th anniversary and if you notice, they’ve slightly re-edited it by adding retro elements to it

Its meant to be so appealing but horribly irritating in every way.

Instead could we please have a repeat of the Cadbury's 'Yes sir I can boogie'. That guy always made me feel a bit...... funny.

I have to mute that pot noodle ad it makes me feel sick
It’s just been on and I said to my husband they’ve clearly gone down the “ enrage viewers” path

Seriously would this ad make you rush out to buy a Pot Noodle?

My worst ad is the Tenna Lady one where she’s going to a concert and going to be wearing pee soaked paper knickers for hours on end . But it’s ok because they aren’t the usual white padded paper knickers (which probably turn yellow) but the classy BOUTIQUE BLACK . I am a lady of a certain age and I cringe at the thought.

I saw a new ad for Andrex tonight (new to me anyway) It was awful! A woman carrying a toilet roll walking through an office set up with everyone standing watching her, picks up a big French to German dictionary, or vice versa, & proceeds to the toilet door at which point it says, make yourself comfortable then Andrex. What?????

Are they saying to use a Dictionary instead of their bog paper?
Personally I'd rather see the Andrex puppies anytime, not these rubbish ads where they're trying too hard to be "clever"

There are some adverts I get to the end and am not even sure what it was for - usually some online bank or lending company. I think

The only two that make me smile at all atm are both made by Mars - the one for Snickers where the couples are playing a board game and one assumes 'swap' means swapping partners. The other is the Twix one with the bears.

Can I just say how much I loathe that bloody Lenor ad where this bunch of people climb into beds set up in the middle of the local Rec.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Fresh" and "Mega-Fresh!"

Samuel L. Jackson is now advertising War-Burtons bread, even though it's obviously pronounced Warbur-Tons.

Maybe if they spent less on unnecessary celebs from America who have never eaten Warburtons before, they could lower their prices.

I hate the smugness of the people on the Specsavers ad who DONT go to Specsavers

And their emphasis is all wrong.
They should say 'No I don't GO to Specsavers', but they say 'I don't go to specsavers' which would ruin the point of it.
It's such a minor quibble I know but irritates me

That one is truly awful.

I don't understand what has happened to TV adverts in the last few years. They are all so bloody awful now. Make no sense. Don't have any good storytelling, nothing that's gonna become iconic.

There's no Milky Way advert, Hovis advert (the one with the young lad helping his dad on the farm all day and just wanting his dad to say he did a good job broke me ), BT family storyline advert, Daz cleaner close etc.

It's like there is no effort anymore, it's like, just any idea will do.

And not much humour either I used to love Maureen Lipmans BT ads they were so funny!! Going back years now mind.

Nationwide have brought out even more of their dire adverts featuring Ordinary People.

One of them is a couple, her lecturing him about mortgages as she feeds the kid where the poor sod can't get a word in edgeways for being shouted down.
All he's left with us "Yes dear................no dear................... three-bagsfull dear" as he is drowned out by her bolshy, bossy, LOUD grating voice.

Marc Jacobs ads they repeat the same word over and over again, so annoying
Moonpig - happy moonpig to x and it goes on and on. I hate it so much I have to mute the tv when it comes on. Thankfully I haven’t seen it for a while so they must have dropped it.
Surf adverts are so annoying too!

That awful ad where the shameless one is sitting on the bog talking about the use of period pads to deal with wee leaks. I cringe when it comes on. Its just too..... explicit, imo.
