Not a gross question at all. We’re all ladies just trying to help each other 😊 I’ve always lay for 30 minutes with my legs up against the headboard and pillows under my bum. My ivf consultant said it was a load of nonsense but I’ve since conceived naturally twice and did it both times. The way I see it, it might be nonsense but it certainly doesn’t hurt.

I also used the conceive plus lube which again, I’ve got no proof that it made the difference but might be worth a try
Thank you. I have been reading on Tommy's website that it hasn't been proven nor disproven, so like you say it doesn't hurt! I just feel like such a knob with my legs in the air ha! We've bought the conceive plus lube too, so hopefully that helps. Thank you so much for this x

we are in a similar situation. I had my IUD removed in March and I’ve only just started getting Highs.
Did you use them before when you had your IUD in? I read that the Mirena one would mean you still ovulate, so I've been tracking for a while now and taking BBT. They say that the IUD means you're fertile from the moment it's removed, but I don't know how true that all is

Hiya girls,

Had a few days away from baby stuff and need to catch up on here.

I've been offered the vaccine. I have always wanted it but due to the recommendation to stop trying for the months after each vaccine I didn't have it. I've tried for too long and don't think it would be good for me mentally.

I think advice has now changed and we can carrying on trying so I would like to get it but I'm still nervous about this, the Internet has mixed advice.

Has anyone had it and carried on recently?

I only tested twice - I was quite past when I expected to be due so assumed it would have picked up by then. It’s a tricky one as some cycles you may ovulate late, not at all, or some people’s pregnancy hormone levels are so low it takes ages for a test to show anything.
Thank you xx

I took some ovulation tests over the last few days as I was WAY too chicken to take a pregnancy test, caved yesterday morning and today (the FRER) and 😱😱 it doesn’t feel real!!
Yesterday was the clear blue

I feel so blessed and also so guilty being able to write this. I am so lucky and I promise I really, really know that. You guys are the loveliest community and I can’t wait to see the rest of you fall pregnant 💕

Hi all. Im sorry i didnt know where to go as everyone in my life has a baby, and i dont actually know anyone who didnt conceive naturally in my life. (sorry if there are lots of errors- i am rapidly typing and feel like im going to stop breathing)

Im 31 and i have no children of my own, my partner is 42 and he has children from a previous relationship. We have been trying to conceive for 2/3 years (due to covid, i felt like i couldnt go to the doctors re fertility until recently)
in the past i have had 7 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy; and just have the 1 fallopian tube. I got my fertility bloods done and they came back all normal.
I always thought I may have issues as I thought the amount of medication I’ve been on through the years and currently; it was something I always worried about. I’m currently on a butec morphine patch, gabapentin, carbamazepine, amitrypyline (these are the drugs I’m taking for peripheral neuropathy issues and got issues with my nerves but am taking other short term pain medication) so yes always worried about whether my baby would be born as a druggy.l etc. So I never considered that my partner would have any fertility issue, I thought I would be the only problem. And I never considered living my life without having a child of my own.

I have just collected my partners sperm infertility test results. Could someone please help me think clearer right now; i feel like im going to have a panic attack and i dont really understand it.

"Asthenoteratozoospermia- percentages of both progressive motility and morphologically normal spermatozoa below the lower reference limits.
Progressive- 20
Non progressive- 20%
Immotile- 59%
Normal Morphology- 0%
Abnormal Morphology- 100%
Head Defects 100%
Mid piece defects 23%
Tail defects 5%

Could someone help me understand please. I am just trying to google the resutls; but my mind is everywhere and i just cant get it together at the moment. I am really sorry; i dont know who else to ask.
Thank you so much to anyone who replies.I just feel like I can’t breathe right now

@JLXRD I didn’t, but I wish I had! Technically speaking, you should ovulate approx 14 days after CD1, but everyone is different. OPK’s should deffo help you work out how your body is working. ☺

I am intrigued by following it but I’m a little bit unsure about starting OPK just yet but wonder if it’s worthless without it?
As my cycles are short and my fertile window is relatively earlier. But it does change as I have monthly cycles but my periods are irregular. The clear blue ovulation sticks lasts for months for myself. I am happy with them but I have not fallen pregnant yet.
The last time I used them religiously and then the next month I stopped I became pregnant.
Life is about to get busy from April so I am going to continue using them. My focus won’t be so intense during the TWW.
Why don’t you try the SMEG method for a certain period. If it does not work try the ovulation sticks.

Or just have regular sex every 2-3 days and during fertile window every other day.

We have too much time in our hands so we are always thinking. Can’t wait for this pandemic to be truly over.

i had period type cramps Friday (low OPK in the morning, flashing smiley) and then I noticed my CM change so did another OPK which was +ive and then clear blue went to static.
I had a few periods type cramps yesterday and then I had the weirdest pop in my lower left side. My first thought was, was that my egg?! But surely not?!
So I would think cramps would be gearing up for O as everything thickens and gets ready!
Also had to re read UPS a few times like, WHAT?! And then I realised it meant unprotected sex 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
Ooo interesting!!! So maybe Friday would have been a good day to go for it. My Clue app said yesterday was my potential ovulation day too. Agh, who knows it’s all a minefield!! That’s so weird about the pop, imagine if you actually felt it 😅 Also 🤣🤣🤣 is the UPS abbreviation even a thing??? It is now 🤣🤣

Hey ladies! Had my 2nd fertility appointment today. Need to have a hsg test, anyone had this before? I had some bloods and an ultrasound and she said everything looks good which is great news.
Hi, I had a HSG earlier this year. I took the day off work to chill after but it was all okay. My friend was sick after hers but that’s likely from the antibiotics. Hope it goes well for you x

Does anyone have long cycles? I’m finding it really frustrating, I’m in my 9th month but only 7th cycle. They are currently around 40 days, with ovulation not happening until at least day 26-29. Every month that my period comes it breaks me a bit more knowing I’ve got so long to go to even ovulate again.
My cycle was 50 days and ovulation was around day 36. The cycle I conceived though, my ovulation was two weeks late and I ovulated on day 50! I understand that frustration of having less chances for it to happen and the long wait. Don’t lose hope ❤

After mentioning here, I got some ovulation tests yesterday. The one I took yesterday there was absolutely nothing, just the one dark line. Then today one dark line and one VERY faint second line... so I guess I can take that as a positive that at least something is happening in my body somewhere 🙂

The apps are all predicting I would ovulate in 7 days but of course as this is my first month off the pill I have zero idea if they are right but I’m hoping if the second line is a bit darker again tomorrow then maybe they are not far off?

(Someone feel free to tell me if I’m reading the tests wrong though.) I took it as when you have two evenish dark lines then you are just about to ovulate then after you do the second will go fainter again? But also read that some people have a gradual build and some a rapid spike, so who knows if I should take it as positive or not really.

Honestly feel like a clueless teenage on all this and learning about it all, wish they had covered it a bit more or it was spoken about more really!
I am equally as clueless but from reading old posts on here I downloaded an app (Premom) to upload the tests and it does the interpreting for you. You take a picture ‘automatically’ and it detects the test and gives a reading. So far I haven’t ovulated apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️ But should in the next few days 🤞🏻
I also bought a BBT thermometer just so I can track both aspects and again it was recommended by someone lovely on here. It’s interesting to see what’s going on in my body! Feel like time is going by so slowly while TTC though.

When does everyone take the Ovulation tests? I’ve been taking mine in the morning and been getting highs but no “peak”. Last night I was reading the leaflet and it turns out they recommend no fluids for 2hrs before and in the middle of the afternoon. Fucks sake, why?

lots of tears yesterday as I feel I’m not releasing any eggs but just having my period as I’m only getting highs of LH around 44. Is that okay? 🥺
Have you tried testing in the afternoon too? Sometimes the LH surge can be rapid and in the evening. I would test morning (with the CB digi) and then I would do the evening with the Cheap sticks and I would hold my wee for about 3hrs from say 4/5pm-7/8pm because the LH hormone needs to build up in the day

Edit to say - the number doesn’t matter because it’s what relative for you. My peak was only 0.85 on premom but my lows were about 0.15 x

Hey Samr, hope you feel a bit better soon. I'm on CD7 but my period was awful this month, felt like I was being sawn in half! I'm also trying to decide whether to track, should probably make my mind Jo really. Think I'm leaning towards not this month... What do you think you'll do?
Feeling more normal today thank goodness! Decided not to track anything this month and just go for the every 2nd day (possibly 3rd if life gets in the way) approach. If we don't conceive this month though I'm going to consider the clear blue kit or something! Did you decide?

I think it depends on your luteal phase - mine was quite rapid but I thought I’d still have a visible line there?!

These are the cheap one step ones. I had a fairly faint but visible like before peak, then a rapid onset of about 2 days then a steep drop off. But they seem to have not even a visible line anymore, the one I did last night premom marked as a 0 😂
Oh!! I use the Premom ones and I'm around 0.20 when I'm out of my peak time.

After asking you guys for advice over the weekend - I’ve got a telephone appointment later in the week with the practice Sister. I’m feeling a lot more positive about this appointment, as she is the nurse practitioner rather than a GP she seems to have a lot more time to go through everything with the patients rather than rushing to get you out the door. Also pre covid all the oldies rave about her in the waiting room 🤣 fingers crossed she can refer me for some tests 🤞🏼
oh that’s good! I always found the nurses (when I went for a pill check) always had a little more time/sympathy so got my fingers crossed for you.

how is everyone holding up?

Hi everyone!
Update- AF is FINALLY here!! I’ve never been happier haha! So onto a new month! I think I may try tempting this month, how does this work?? When will I start temping when AF has finished??
Thanks for everyone’s support over the last few days of what had been an awful time in limbo! X
Ah at least you have an answer 💕 I'd start temping straight away. You need to do it first thing in the morning before you've even sat up as the slightest movement can spike your temp x
