I was on these threads number 1 & 2…now 18 months later and I’ve not even had a sniff at a BFP.
Completely unrelated, but I was having a colposcopy the other day and mentioned about my periods lasting a month or more at a time (app was with a private gynaecologist) anyway, he looked back on my notes which stated thickened womb lining, which nothing was ever done, and just left to deal with these horrendous periods that are debilitating, it’s a worry to leave the house at times they’re that heavy…but he was so concerned and lovely, and has referred me for an ultrasound to see if it’s got thicker and to investigate a bit more.
I feel like there might actually be light at the end of the tunnel after dealing with prolonged periods for so long. How I am not anaemic I have no idea! I haven’t been to the docs yet about how long it’s taking to conceive, not quite ready for that her yet (I have pcos too so always going to take longer) but if my periods are sorted that might be a step closer, or maybe I’ll be infertile, who knows. When googling thickened endometrium, it doesn’t sound particularly good! Depending on biopsy results, it can turn to cancer and you’d need a hysterectomy. Google is not your friend
sorry for long ramblings but nobody knows about TTC and other half doesn’t really understand as a bloke, although he’s as supportive as can be in this situation. Feels like times running out for us really, both 34. xx
