Good evening all! Coming up to a year of ttc for us, unfortunately I have PCOS and I haven’t had a natural period for most of this year which unfortunately means no ovulation either.
My gp has said that once we get to a year we can look into clomid. Does anyone know if there is a waiting list for this or will my gp prescribe? From research it looks like you’re heavily monitored on clomid so perhaps not a gp?

Long time lurker here and no where near ready to hop into the likes of mums net. First cycle ttc this month. I’ve tracked my bbt and cycle for a year so I’m well versed. However seeing some comments about struggling to concieve with a short luteal phase prompted me to research as I know mine “looks” short. It’s 11/12 days long which I know is shy of being classed as short. Does anyone have a similar length cycle and been okay? I’m on 7 seas trying to conceive and partner is on a ttc vitamin too! Xx
I also have luteal phase of 12 days but anything under 10 or 11 days is called as short apparently. Although I am on my 8th cycle TTC and still no luck. But I don't think it is that.

I've tested with Proov PDG strips twice and both times I've only had 2 out of 4 positives and reading into it it looks like I do ovulate, it's just 'weak' whatever that means... So I've bought the conceive plus ovulation support vitamins and I've also bought the fertility-lily cup as I've seen it all over Instagram and it's got great reviews!

Hope that helps anyone 🥰🥰

Hey everyone, hope you're all okay 💕 still no AF for me and another BFN this morning so having to presume that my covid jab has knocked me all out of sync or because I was particularly stressed last month that that has had a knock on effect 😔

I thought I would maybe start properly tracking my ovulation rather than through an app, does anyone have any recommendations for ovulation kits / straps?
I use a combination of the Easy@Home ones and Clearblue Digital. The CB ones are more expensive and tend to give me a peak a day before E@H, but are much easier to read as there’s no room for interpretation with them.

Me @Motherofpugs! I didn't bother tracking ovulation this month but my period is due in a week! I don't know why but I feel so nervous this time! This is month 10.
You’re half way through the tww already then! I always get a bit nervous after the first week. Do you know when you might test? Keeping everything crossed for you that it’s your month this month.

My period is due around the 15th I think and I’ll probably start testing from 10dpo as I can’t help myself 😂

Hi, new to this thread. My partner and I have decided to start TTC when I get my contraception taken out in the middle of January. Just wondering if anybody has any advice?

CD11 today but I started taking seven seas this cycle and it’s gave me a UTI :/ it has in the past but I thought I’d try them again this cycle, never again, my body must react to one of the vitamins.

Not sure if this is allowed but I have 2 unopened packs if anyone wants them, I’m happy to post them out free of charge x

Sorry if this is a stupid question but SMEP is just basically DTD around ovulation time yeah? I've Googled it and dunno why there is like a big name for it when it's just common sense no?
It's having sex every other day and then every day around ovulation and then every other day again. 😳

I've had similar issues with my husband. My first pregnancy was molar. I was quite poorly, and the whole thing just went on for ages and was quite stressful. My husband has quite bad health anxiety, and he constantly imagined the worst outcome from it all. After my second pregnancy was smooth sailing and healthy he thought that was our good luck done with, and we shouldn't try again because it couldn't possibly go right.

It's taken a lot of talking to make him see that yes, it could go tits up again, but equally it could be fine and we could end up with another healthy child. I think some men struggle to know what to do when they see us suffering, and the easiest thing is just for them to ignore the situation and hope it goes away.

My big worry is that if we are successful then something goes wrong, he'll put his foot down and refuse to try again.
You've hit the nail on the head there - you're so right, men do ignore and hope it just goes away.. your husband sounds a lot like my husband - he also has anxiety about health etc, hence the whole he wants me to get fitter to become pregnant - he's very much of the mind set that you should be in optimum health, which lets face it isn't always bloody easy especially straight after a global pandemic.

Sorry to hear about your molar pregnancy, that must have been awful for you. I'm not sure if I'm just dishing out unhelpful statistics though, but women are most likely to have a negative pregnancy the first time and the fact you've gone on to have a healthy baby should be reassuring. But I do get the fear - before loss etc the ignorance was pure bliss wasn't it.

Me! It’s expensive but it saves me obsessing over the easy at home strips. It stops me panicking the light wasn’t right, or the angle etc.

They’re dead easy to use. However the tests are about £30 for a months worth. It tells you when to test, if you’re low, high, or peak. Then 4 days before AF it lets you test for pregnancy
Thank you! I think I may take the plunge and order it and see if it brings us any luck 🤞🏻

I am 5DPO after our loss. I haven’t been tracking it’s just what the app says.. although if it’s right and we’re negative this month. My period will be due on my wedding day 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

*CW: positive test, possibly a chemical. Talk about blood*

I'm not sure if it's okay to post my update, let me know if I need to edit/remove as I don't want to make anyone feel bad.

AF still hadn't arrived yesterday morning (cycle day 32) so I decided to take a test, it ended up being positive so I called my doctors and booked my appointments (I have multiple chronic illnesses so wanted to make sure everything was okay). By the late afternoon I noticed some light spotting and told my partner I would take the rest of the day off to rest. I got really bad cramps and started bleeding more, I got a really bad migraine, felt nauseous. I barely slept last night because of the pain and right now (afternoon) I'm still bleeding. (TMI: the blood is more red than my regular period,no clots.)
It's like AF decided to come anyways and I think I had a chemical? Like I mentioned in previous post; I'm new to all of this.
My GP was no help at all this morning, she drew blood and told me we'd keep an eye on how the weeks progress but I don't it worked this month :(
I feel pretty drained, these last 24 hours have been so intense.
Again sorry if this is not okay to post, just wanted to vent.
Sending you hugs. Whilst the bleeding could mean a chemical, it could also just be a light bleed. Have you taken another test, with my chemicals/losses, the line has gotten lighter before I started bleeding, so it’s normally quite a good indicator.

If it’s still positive or darker then it could just be a bit of light bleeding which can be common in early pregnancy. If it’s lighter or negative then it sadly is probably a chemical. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

Implantation doesn't happen until at least 10dpo, only then does hcg rise and only then can it be detected.
I know.. I know it won’t show anything, I just like to torture myself apparently 😂 I think I need to start ignoring people’s comments on the Peanut app. It’s like a competition on who found out the earliest post ovulation days sometimes 🤦🏼‍♀️

Could I ask for some advice/information please?

I've been using the Clear Blue OPKs that predict your 4 most fertile days. Yesterday was the first time I've ever had the flashing smiley, I normally only ever had the empty circle. In fairness I wasn't testing consistently and going by the dates I've been testing way too early, getting disheartened/worried there was something wrong with me then playing the waiting game until my period came.

My cycle is generally 28 days. I recognised the change in my CM yesterday and took the ovulation test and it showed me the flashing smiley face. I just tested again and it's still the flashing smiley. My understanding is a static smiley is my peak fertility?

So. I guess my question is: if I don't see the static smiley does this mean I haven't ovulated yet? Or does it mean I have ovulated but my most fertile day is to come?

Also, if my cycle is 28 days and I got the flashing smiley on day 17, is this "normal"? Or is that quite late?

Sorry, I'm embarrassingly uneducated and I tried looking online and felt so overwhelmed.
Static smiley is your peak so is a rough estimate that you may ovulate in the next 12-36 hours. I use Clearblue OPKs and track my temp with an app that confirms ovulation. My app confirmed that I ovulated 2 days after my static smiley last cycle so I think it’s always worth considering the day you get peak and the next two days as most fertile. Flashing smiley means you’re building up to ovulation so still potentially fertile.
