I'm kind of in the same boat. My son turned 2 in july, and I got pregnant with him in October. We started for Letrozole again this cycle and I should be ovulating by the end of the week. Now our son was due August 1st, but we had a scheduled C-section July 8th. I'm not sure how it's going to go with 2 birthdays that close.
I get concerns from Saving, planning point of view. But from child's perspective: Me and my sister are exactly 5 years and 1 day apart. It was never an issue growing up as my mum always made sure we each had our own separate day, cake, party etc. Now we’re adults we love have birthdays together and doing something special for them. X

Hi, just popping my head in to let some of the neuroticism out if that’s ok 😂

Growing up I always knew I wanted kids and ideally wanted them by the time I was 28 - well I’m a few years past that now and only just married so have let go of the ideas of being in my late 40s when the kids pack off for uni etc. 😂

OH and I have booked a honeymoon for early spring to a place that has active Zika cases and I have a major event in early June that is not pregnancy compatible (due to the training, effort of the event itself, and selfishly due to my goals for it). So we’re thinking let’s start trying around July time (as this would be outside of the window for Zika to be a risk I believe) but my concerns are that it would then take some time to conceive at this point.

I am not going to lie, sex isn’t high on my priority list and I struggle with my drive so I feel like I need to be aware of what other things I can do to maximise our chances - nothing to do with my husband, just never really been into it 😐 (I think I’m probably asexual tbh). Other than stopping contraception, do you do anything else?! I feel like a kid asking but honestly, when you’re not that fussed with getting it on you tend not to read into these things 😂
Also a newbie too - hi 👋🏻. I’m planning to come off contraception at the end of this month and then my OH and I have discussed trying from January. I have no idea about any of this stuff so thanks in advance for any tips. Will look into tracking ovulation. My problem is probably quite specific but I’ve recently been diagnosed with a chronic pain condition with my vulva (yeah brilliant 💀) which basically means any pressure on that area hurts like hell, and as a result have developed vaginismus. So DTD not particularly easy at the moment or much of a turn on tbh. Feeling really sad about it affecting trying for a baby and although I’m getting treatment my doctor said it could be a year or two before it’s ‘resolved’. I’m 29, been married four years now and we have a great marriage - really didn’t want to rush kids and make the most of our twenties together. Guess I feel worried we’ve left it too late and now there’s a problem and it feels really hard to overcome. And then there’s the anxiety of what if we have fertility problems as well. I am definitely an anxious person, and no idea if anyone will have experienced my slightly specific problem but grateful to find a lovely community on here. Having read this back I realise I could start with worrying less!

OK so after my issue with the blue dye sainsburys test 2 days ago I bought a FR test via amazon. Its just come and I've used it so middle of the day, only peed about 2hr ago and this is the day AF is due and there is definitely two lines! Checked it after 3 mins, I could vomit I feel so nervous 😂

How is everyone doing? ☺

Struggling today - my cousin is in labour and whilst I’m really happy for her I’m struggling with my jealousy. I feel like a terrible person that I can’t just be happy for her 😞 my whole family is so happy and excited and I just feel jealous 😞

On the plus side AF has finally pissed off so I can make a start on cycle 12! Can’t quite believe it’s been a whole year of trying! 🤞🏼

Can anyone help please? I am 14dpo and took a test, immediately the test line came up but it was a bright white line (i hope you can see on the photo) does anyone know what this means? I can’t really see 2 pink lines looking straight at the test but maybe it’s too early?
Hey, could you do another one in the morning? I have had some frers with this type of line on before I even peed on them so sometimes they can have indents but also could be an actual. Sorry I know that’s not helpful xx

TW: loss

Hi gang, I am slowly dipping my toe back into the TTC waters. I unfortunately had a miscarriage after first BFP and thankfully I had an almost perfect cycle after (ovulated on time, long enough luteal period and AF arrived on time) so I am thinking about trying again in this cycle or the next.

I am seeing my OB/GYN so I’ll follow their advice but I think they will encourage me to start again given I have endometriosis.

Trying to get my MH where it needs to be in order to conceive. 4w into Sertraline. Quickly realising I need to give myself some leeway and not be tied into starting Clomid in December simply because gynae suggested it. I feel like it's putting additional pressure on me to "get better". Finally told husband my concerns. He agrees I need to be free to naturally settle on meds. I was scared to say it because it seems like stalling - in my imbalanced mind anyway.

Bit of background info - age 12-20 I had normal periods. Began Depakote aged 20, periods stopped, developed PCOS. Stopped Depakote aged 27, periods returned. Transvag ultrasound shows so cysts now, hysterosalpingogram clear, bloods all normal...but I don't ovulate. PCOS diagnosis overturned. I'm furious I wasn't warned about Depakote AND that I was misdiagnosed when put on it. Sorry, ladies. One of those days.

Congratulations to all of you lovely people who have recently had positive news! Wishing you healthy pregnancies and lovely babies.

Sertaline can realistically take around 12wks to settle properly once you've been titrated up to a therapeutic dose and it's taken effect so if after 4wks you're not there yet then that's not you stalling at all. Give yourself time to think things through with a healthy mind, at the moment your head will be all over the place.

Does anyone else find it ridiculous that the Clue app now has to state "Potential fertile day" even when it's the day before your period?

Has anyone who’s got a short cycle tell me their experience with FRER tests? Mine is usually 24 days and I’m worried that means I have a short luteal phase. I’m due on in 3 days and so far have had 2 negative FRER tests. But I’m clutching at straws and hoping maybe my shorter cycle could mean I have less HCG at the moment 😅 oh dear, I’m becoming obsessive.

Next cycle will be the first time I’m going to use an OPK so will have a better idea of luteal phase length.

I average 25-27 day cycles and have a 12 day luteal phase. Although pregnacare has messed up my cycles a bit at the minute. Usually means I end up testing close to when period is due. FRER picked up a BFP for me when I was pregnant with my son from 11dpo. Definitely use OPKs then you’ll know better when to test if you want to test early and you could still even have a 14 day luteal phase and ovulate cycle day 10 potentially.

We didn’t track/officially try this month for the first time in over two and a half years and I was really hoping for one of those stereotypical ‘we fell pregnant when we stopped trying’ but I’m so sure my period is about to arrive. It’s due tomorrow, I’m breaking out on my chin and have had a headache and cramping for the last couple of days 😩

I’m so frustrated because I thought I was getting my first proper period post MC and going off the pill yesterday but the bleeding just stopped overnight and there’s nothing - no spotting or pink discharge or anything.

I’m getting cramps and have major PMS so I assume it’s coming but gah I wanted to believe I had a regular cycle again.

I’m always confused when to count CD1 if it starts late at night! My period started at about 11pm last night, so is yesterday CD1 or today?

I did another test this morning and my test line has gotten much lighter than it was 2 days ago so I'm thinking it was a chemical. Been having AF type cramps since the day before I tested but still no bleeding, wish it would hurry up and get it over with. 🙄
