Hi everyone, hope you're all doing okay. I've been reading all the previous threads but this is my first post.

I'm 31, husband is 41, we have a 3 year old and we are going to start 'properly' (more actively, rather than NTNP) TTC number 2 next month (providing that everything goes okay with my upcoming colposcopy - I've had precancerous cervical cells for years and just want to get that out of the way first).

It's been really useful to read about all of your journeys. I've been tracking my cycle with the Ovia app and got Pregnacare conception vitamins and ClearBlue digital ovulation tests on order and feeling excited.

This is exactly how I’m feeling! I’ve had cramps all day today too and it’s made me feel so low. All my friends have gotten pregnant on the first try and it just seems so unfair to keep going through the heartache every month.
i know! So many lovely ladies on here who are struggling but a lot of people I know in real life get pregnant at the click of a finger! I’m so happy for them but I also think why not me as well 😔It’s so hard not to be disappointed. Sending loads of love I hope you get your BFP soon 💕

Do you guys with positives all live near each other? Is there something in the water? 😂 Congratulations to everyone who's had good news the past few days.

I should be ovulating this coming week but I'm still waiting for my ovulation tests to arrive so we're going in blind. My kid's had covid the past week so it's been mild chaos and I totally forgot to order them on time. 🤦‍♀️

Glad I never bothered wasting a test as period pains have arrived. Just waiting for the actual period to start now

I’m double vaxxed and have been for a while now, it did mess with them a bit but seems back on track now 🤞🏻

Personally I would be more wary taking it whilst pregnant (my own anxiety, nothing medical.) and I would definitely want to be vaccinated before having the baby.

Hi, I’m new here: been TTC for about 6 months - maybe longer. I didn’t take it that seriously at first but the more it’s not happening I’m starting to panic. Any general tips for conception would be helpful. I do an Ovulation Test every month at Day 7 until I get peak fertility. And my ovulation/period cycle is pretty regular.
Thanks in advance

So sorry to hear about your MC. it sounds like you didn’t take any time of work esp in such a challenging job. Is taking some time off an option to get your head together?

Also my husband struggles around ovulation time I try not to tell him but honestly I can’t face that much sex ever so he knows without me saying the word . He’s an incredibly stressful job also that works shifts so it can be a nightmare for us.
Inwas able to take some time off work luckily, I work for 3 different places and it’s just that the one I was at yesterday wasn’t aware of my mc, so I guess they wouldn’t know any different!
Same here in regards to sex, before ttc we really didn’t do it that often so same as you, he can tell when it’s ovulation without me having to say the words 😂 it just baffles me how we were all tricked into thinking how easy it is to get pregnant when we were younger but in reality it’s much different!

7 DPO, woke up in the middle of the night last night with the overwhelming urge to get sick, hoping it's a good sign and not just from eating too much ice-cream 😆

TRIGGER WARNING

Hey,
At what point can we go to the doctors for help? We’ve been TTC for 15 months. During that time we had one chemical pregnancy. And a pregnancy which resulted in a loss due to the baby’s skull not forming. This was only in August.
I feel like if I ring the doctors now they’ll say I have to give things time to settle after the loss.

I just don’t know what to do
I would phone your GP and see if you can come in for a chat. Ultimately unless there is a medical reason for you to not try again and you feel ready and able, that is not their decision to make.

@MrsWolf have you done a FRER today??? ❤❤❤
It was negative.. but I also did another cheap one and got a faint line again so I’m not really sure? I tried to ring the doctors but they're only doing emergency appointments and told me to wait a few more days and test again if no period.. 🤷🏽‍♀️
I’m remaining hopeful 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Morning guys. I thought I might have caught again but my hcg strip actually seems to be lighter than yesterday so I guess it’s just leftover hcg from the last pregnancy :(

I saw an advert the other day for new Clearblue Digital ‘Early’ tests, don’t know if anyone has tried or seen these? They say they can be used before your period is late.
I tried them two days before period was due! Two gave me false negatives when normal clearblue digital said positive plus line ones showed a clear positive. 😳

Looking for a bit of advice please ✨

Husband and I are going on honeymoon in March (pushed back because of Covid) and we are torn with how to navigate TTC over the next couple of months.

Do we carry on TTC for the next couple of months as it’s not guaranteed that I would fall pregnant before the honeymoon anyway. Or do we put a pause on TTC now until the honeymoon. There’s a part of me that is just concerned that as it now gets closer to the honeymoon that if I were to fall pregnant before that I would be in the early weeks and potentially feel unwell when we are away.

We know that in the grand scheme of things March isn’t too long to wait but it’s just frustrating at the thought of putting it on pause 🙈

We’ve not told anyone that we are TTC as we don’t want any pressure so we only have ourselves to discuss this with and we are torn. What would you guys do?

if you got to the bottom of this well done and thank you! 😄

no need to apologise here - we’ve got you 🤍

it’s a horrible feeling, it’s like being kicked when your down 😔 It all feels so unfair doesn’t it! Our time will come 🤞🏼

Be kind to yourself and treat yourself to something nice xx
Thank you 🤍 I know you all feel the same here. Just hope one day it can be me sharing the good news! Until then, at least I have wine?

Looks like a lot of us have had chemicals this month!
I think going forward I'm really going to try waiting longer to test, it's easier said than done but I had clear positives on 3 different brands over a few days including a digital with weeks and still ended up bleeding and getting a negative. Next time I'm late I'll try to wait until I'm at least 5 days late then I can live in ignorant bliss if i get a late period 🤷‍♀️

Hi all, just in terms of the vaccine and periods, there is a thread in “advice” called “painful periods after the vaccine” or something similar, just incase anyone wants to share their experience there or read about others.

It includes more symptoms other than painful periods such as women having either shorter periods, or longer times between periods. Some women there are TTC as well.

Just sharing to be helpful, as there’s hardly anywhere to find information on those few who do experience side affects and not many people are aware of the vaccine’s yellow card scheme.

I’m not sharing to influence anyone. I just think those who are TTC or currently pregnant should have as much information as possible in terms of vaccines/boosters. Your body, your choice ❤
