Hi all. Always been a bit or a lurker on this thread but took a step back when ttc just got too hard I’ve been kind of giving up recently and not thinking about it, not even tracking my periods (which in hindsight was a bit silly) and today I randomly did a test. I then did three more and they all showed positive. I was in total shock and so did two more, however the final two (not pictured) showed as negative. Very dissapointed but then I did drink a LOT of water in between the tests - could this had affected the results? Not sure what to think now!

ETA to the positive lines showed extremely quickly , even before the control line which I’ve heard is a bad sign?

They look very strong on two separate tests to be false +

I’d test again with concentrated urine x

Hi Ladies, I’m 14 dpo and today is the day AF should arrive. It usually arrives during the night, but hasn’t. I normally know I’m coming on the night before too as I start to cramp but had absolutely no signs.

I tested at 11dpo and it was negative. Do I test again today or do I just expect AF to arrive within the next few days?

it could go either way, it definitely depends on how you are feeling and wether you would prefer to give it a few days of waiting or test and find out straight away. Since AF is due today most over the counter tests should be accurate but if you’re going to test I’d recommend first response or clear blue.

I’m still getting Low ovulation tests! Does it go, low, medium, high… or just straight from low to high. Im apparently in my fertile week, had some watery CM today so was sure it would pick something up on the stick!
Im worried I’m not ovulating the pink line is getting darker, just hasn’t hit a peak yet?

So I've been dipping in and out of this thread because I find it really difficult to see the sad (and wonderful!) stories.... ostrich syndrome some might say!

I've been tracking my cycle for 2 years and this month my period came two weeks early, which i guess explains why the ovulation tests were all negative until I obviously bled and boy has it been a heavy period! I googled it and am now convinced I'm peri menopausal. Do I just give up hope now and enjoy a "normal" sex life with my partner again? rather than being so regimented and obsessed?

I think I read it’s not uncommon to have a random cycle where you don’t ovulate. Is that the only time it’s been early?

Have you spoken to a doctor at all and had any tests? I know Googling can make you think the absolute worst but there may be another explanation.

Totally know what you mean about the sex like though, I am only on cycle 3 of trying and have already started being really regimental and I think in the long run it would cause problems if I don’t chill out a bit at some point. (Much easier said than done though!)

I’ve been taking Clear Blue Ovulation tests for 5 months. I’d get highs and then the peak. But then a week or so after my peak I get sharp pains in my lower abdomen that I’m wondering is that actually me ovulating? If the Clear Blue detect a peak LH surge, does that necessarily mean I ovulate within 24-48 hours? Wondering whether I ovulate much later. It’s all so hard to understand I guess I thought CB detect ovulation but it might not be as simple as that?

Hi Girlies
After 7 days of testing twice a day and getting flashing smileys this evening I finally got a peak (did get a flashy this morning).
I bought some cheap ovulation strips too, the one next to the clear blue I took the same time but it’s negative?
The one at the bottom I took this morning but had a flashing smiley?
Do you think the Clear blue will be the best accurate?

Hello, not sure if it's helpful but I used the strip ones and I just felt like I never really got a really dark line. I worried I wasn't ovulating but with the CB test after a few days of flashing faces I got a static face. So I now just go off what the CB tests say. Someone else might be more clued up than me on it though. xx

Hey it’s entirely possible. Implantation can happen from 6dpo onwards. It would be very faint though. Retest every 2 days. Good luck!

I'm pretty sure after coming off the mini pill in December it's contributed to weight gain.

I came off the mini pill in October and feel like I’ve put a lot of weight on too

Yes I got a dark positive OPK like that 2 days before missed period and a positive test so could be x

Hi everyone. I haven’t been on the TTC threads for a few months as I just needed a break from it all! But I’m back and still trying. A couple of weeks away from the 1 year mark which is crazy. Sometimes it feels like it’s gone fast and other days it feels like a lifetime!

I just had a quick question and wondered if anyone could help out. I’ve got a telephone consultation booked with a fertility specialist at the end of august. Has anyone had one of these and could let me know what to expect? I got referred back in March due to a PCOS diagnosis and my partner has had his semen analysis (all ok). I just wondered whether anyone has had a phone consultation and whether it was productive? Feel like ive waiting forever to get an appointment and a bit miffed if it’s just a phone chat (totally get that’s the way things are done now though!).

I'm going to sound so naive saying this, but I've never taken a pregnancy test as I've never needed to! I've seen so many comments about not testing at xdpo, etc. due to false negatives/positives. I have no idea how many dpo I am as not tested, but AF is due 13th June. Is it best to stick to the general rule of not testing before your expected AF or is it okay to test before? So much conflicting information! thanks

Hi everyone. So I’ve been using clearblue ovulation tests now & ive had flashing smileys for 6 days now. Had to start a new pack this morning & it came up as low fertility the blank circle. Can it go from flashing to blank? Or is it a fault?
I tried another test with the old holder but it came up an error message.

A new holder will always be blank the first time you use it, you should continue to use the old holder (new sticks will work in it normally).

Tomorrow if you use the new holder again you will probs get a flashing face or static.

So this is my first time posting and just looking for some advice or if anyone has had the same thing. I’ve just had a period that was really strange. It only lasted for around 4 days and the first 3 days was brown gloopy discharge stuff when I wiped (sorry) then for the last day and a half it was red/brown slightly heavier but still only there when I wiped then disappeared altogether. It was a 45 day cycle which isn’t abnormal for me as I have PCOS and recently have had cycles anything from 33 days to 90. Which is better than it was before when I went a whole year without a period.
Anyway apart from the period I also have really sore/sensitive nipples which is totally abnormal for me. I usually only get this a week leading up to af but this started on day 2 of my period and is still really sore now, worse now than it was when I was on. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you recently had the covid vaccine? A lot of my friends had strange periods after theirs (and I hadn’t had a period in 6 months but got one after vaccines)

My Premom app said I’m ovulating tomorrow. My surge was yday but it’s dropped way down again today. I am so confused. Last two months I’ve had 29 day cycles after months of 38 day cycles. Now I’m on day 28 so I guess il just see what happens.

Can I ask if anyone here over a year TTC has never had a hint of a positive? I haven't had anything and this worries me. I know of lots of women that have sadly had miscarriages which is terrible, but not of many that have literally had nothing? X

3dpo and the last 2 days I am the most bloated I have ever been, feel so disgusting in everything I put on so that is a fun luteal phase side effect for me

Also if you guys don’t use Fertility Friend to record BBT I really recommend it as it gives you really good insights as to when you ovulated and actually explains why it’s made those decision based on what you have recorded, which is nice as some of the other apps seems to just move things around but don’t say why.
