My husband I went into our TTC journey like ‘we won’t track anything, we will just have sex every day’

I look back at that now and find it hilarious. We quit after 11 days and did SMEP. Not sure how I was quite that naive 😅 having sex because you have to is very different to because you want to!
I was the exact same.
Thought, brill, sex whenever, will just do it and not track.

The fact of having to is very different and I actually think is off putting.
Especially when it's been so long.

I wish I found it exciting still 😂😂

Hello everyone!

Any advice for best test for ovulation? I'm currently using the Flo app which obviously can't test and isn't accurate but I like to track everything

I've been off the pill properly for about two years now as I was single and not really sleeping with anyone. I am with someone now and I've never tried to conceive before now so it's my first time.

I've had really sore nips for a few days and also fatigue. Yesterday I had what looked like implantation bleeding, pink/brown sticky discharge but today I had what is a normal period. I've never had this sticky pink discharge before a period, it's always been a heavy flow right away and I also never had any pms symptoms leading upto this and I always do (overeating mainly)

I take the fact I started bleeding normal red blood is a sign it's just my period and I aren't preggers but has anyone else experienced this? Do you think it's just because my body is getting used to having sex all the time? Just wondered if anyone has had anything similar
I used the clear blue digis - I found it much easier to know without having to guess on the cheap lines - but saying that I did still use cheap ones to make sure the peak I had, was my peak.

If you don’t want to use OPK’s yet, you could try and have sex every other day, making a note of your cervical mucas/discharge. When it becomes slippery and wet, it means you’re fertile (becomes easier for the sperm to swim in rather than thick which doesn’t help)

deffo keep in mind the apps only guess, whereas an OPK etc is measuring something from your body ☺

Thanks again all ♥

This morning I’ve started bleeding. I am so very sad but I was prepared that this would happen.

I had a breakdown yesterday on a meeting as I was already muted and sobbing, then a close colleague announced her pregnancy and started talking about baby clothes she was buying. I had to dial off. I’ve taken today off work and will probably take tomorrow too.

The worst bit was waking up this morning and having that brief moment where I felt okay, and then remembering what was happening. It’s like having the realisation all over again. Also just having to get rid of the pregnancy apps on my phone, the pictures we took of us happy with the positive test - seeing how happy we were is just so sad.

I feel like I have taken that happiness from my husband. He cried with happiness when the test was positive and now he’s never going to have that moment again because he knows it won’t always end how you hope. I can’t help but feel guilt for that. I know that it’s not my fault, but it’s so hard.
Sending you lots of hugs. 💗

Looks like we were all feeling pretty similar yesterday! Hope everyone's okay.

My husband was so excited when we found a BFP on the 12th and he was like omg and Sunday is Father's day... Only to then bleed on the Friday before and then BFN. The sadness comes in waves. It has affected me more than I could ever imagine.

I'm back to work today after a week off and everyone is asking about my 'lovely week off'. It's not their fault, they aren't to know, but it just makes you realise that what you post on social media isn't all rainbows and butterflies. Everyone's fighting their own battles behind the scenes.

I decided to delete Facebook and Instagram off my phone for the foreseeable for these very reasons.
I'm so sorry to hear this. Those well-meaning questions are so hard when things are going on in private. Sending love your way.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone suffered with hormonal/cystic acne? My skin is perfect on my cheeks/nose/forehead but really breaks out around my chin and jaw.

If so, have you found any solutions? Either diet wise or products?

I’ve had a couple of products prescribed but I feel like the doctors aren’t taking me seriously. It’s so hard to find active products that actually work but are safe while TTC!
Acnecide spot cream helped me as it’s benzoyl peroxide but it isn’t a miracle cream! I found it worked best as soon as you felt a spot coming up. Be warned it does bleach clothes/towels if you don’t already use it.

This last cycle I have been taking bog standard women’s multivitamins from Tesco and I haven’t had any hormonal acne, and my PMS was pretty non-existent.

Yeah I did too in February. Sadly lost the baby at almost 10 weeks.

I actually tested positive on a FRER today but I've been spotting dark brown blood for 10 days (since 3DPO) so I'm not holding out much hope that it will stick. We shall see 🤞🤞🤞
So sorry to hear about your loss, it’s the most awful thing to go through isn’t it😢 congratulations on your positive I really hope it works out for you and you get your rainbow 🌈 try not to stress too much (easier said than done I know) about the spotting, I’ve heard loads of women who have spotting and everything turns out okay ♥ x

Hello, not sure if it's helpful but I used the strip ones and I just felt like I never really got a really dark line. I worried I wasn't ovulating but with the CB test after a few days of flashing faces I got a static face. So I now just go off what the CB tests say. Someone else might be more clued up than me on it though. xx
I have never tested positive on the strips but have on CB!
Same here, not sure if it’s because I drink lots of water or I just have a short LH surge, but I never get the super dark second line like I see some people share - I’ve literally only seen that about 3 times in the 3 years we’ve been TTC. Almost always get a static on CB though, sometimes goes straight from blank to static.

I’ve only got 3 CB sticks left for this cycle and I was debating whether to just try with the cheap strips this month, but I think I’ve answered my own question there!

Thank you! I find it bizarre how basically no cycle is the same! So confusing! My cycle is 35-37 days so I think I ov around CD 19ish we shall see! Goodluck with your journey ❤
Yeah it’s so hard when you’re still not sure when everything is happening 🙈 good luck to you too 💕🤞🏻

Hey ladies, so I’ve taken 2 FRER and one CB ‘6 days early’ in the last 24 hours (I’m 12dpo) and all 3 are showing faint lines. What are the odds they’re all indent/evap lines? 😬 I’m only testing early as I’m meeting a friend I haven’t seen in a year at the weekend and wanted to double check should I have a drink or not! Now I’m second guessing one minute, and super hopeful the next! I’d post pics but I don’t know how to do the spoiler warning.
What times were the tests taken at? All taken from the same urine, or different? It’s difficult to say about indents/evaps without seeing the tests, to see the colouring etc.

When you make a post there’s 3 dots with a little half an arrow, click down on that and select spoiler x

CD9 today, I didn’t ovulate until CD25 last cycle so I think I have a long way to go yet 😅 I did get a fertility reading and she said the month of December would be significant (not sure if I really believe all the psychic reading, I just got it for a bit of fun)

Morning all, I retested this morning and got lines so I then did a digital and…

I am definitely pregnant 🥺🥺

I am so so happy and I feel so lucky, I was really feeling so low this month. Im obviously still scared and wary it could be a chemical as im only between 10-12 dpo but my temp went up this morning so I’m keeping everything crossed this works out 🤞🏻
Yay congratulations! So so happy for you! I had a feeling this month would be your month 🤞🏼🤍 xx

Managed to jump OH last night, and going away today and tomorrow so hopefully we’re timing it right 🤞🏻.

TMI sex talk coming up…
Does anyone else find it really hard to balance whether to tell your OH when you’re fertile or not? I try not to tell him because it puts too much pressure on him to perform and he can experience ED at times anyway, but this morning he was asking for me to go down on him and I had to try and subtly/sexily decline 🤣
I try not to tell him because the pressure gets to him but when I am initiating that frequently it’s fairly obvious!!

Hi everyone, just catching up on the thread as I’m new here 👋🏼

just wanted to get some advice if you don’t mind, can anyone see a second line here? I’ve just taken a test as I have no signs but I just don’t feel RIGHT. can’t put my finger on it but hoping you ladies will know what I mean!!

I don’t think there is a line but there more I stare the more I wonder if I can see one? I’m probably going mad. My partner is out, I did WhatsApp him but I’m getting impatient

EDIT: Okay the more I look there is clearly nothing there. Sorry I feel silly now
I'd say there might be something on the last photo. I think you'll have to try again in the morning or the following day to see if you get a clearer result.

I've been trying to be in a calorie deficit most of the time now for nearly 2 months and have lost half a stone; not much to some but through consistent, sustainable changes this seems to be really working for me. It can't do any harm to try to be as healthy as possible.
Well done you, half a stone is amazing!

@calmyourritas ah that makes sense, thank you! 💕

I have no idea how many dpo as I've not been tracking but I'm on CD21 and so far I've had cramping over the past couple of days, my hair is usually greasey after 1 day and I'm on day 4 hair with no greaseyness in sight(🤯), felt a bit sick around 9ish each day, cried because I double booked myself, snotty and I've got a dull ache in my back/shoulders. I'm also really puffy.

I'm pretty sure i don't normally feel like this? Am I just over thinking? Maybe it's the weather🤔

Hi all. Received my BFP today after 2 years and 10 months ttc!
Huge congrats @Onecandream! ✨

So I've been dipping in and out of this thread because I find it really difficult to see the sad (and wonderful!) stories.... ostrich syndrome some might say!

I've been tracking my cycle for 2 years and this month my period came two weeks early, which i guess explains why the ovulation tests were all negative until I obviously bled and boy has it been a heavy period! I googled it and am now convinced I'm peri menopausal. Do I just give up hope now and enjoy a "normal" sex life with my partner again? rather than being so regimented and obsessed?

Ahh thankyou all for responding and being so lovely 🥰 feel very reassured that you can all see the lines too as I know in the past I have had definite line eyes and can convince myself I see a line even if I def don’t 😬

I will def update tomorrow, going to test in the morning and hoping to see a darker line or at least still see one.

Husband and I are trying not to be excited in the mean time just in case it’s indents or a chemical but I hope so much that it’s not 🤞🏻
Get more frer. They’re the best ones. Everything crossed 🤞

Looks like this is my peak? We won’t have chance to have sex until tomorrow now so I’m gutted this will mean I’m out this month!
