Grew up living in a very old two up two down terraced house built for miners in the 1920s so a pretty old house. Growing up I had an imaginary friend called Arthur, not in creepy way just in a very usual way e.g. if I was naughty it was because Arthur told me to etc. We always assumed its because I loved the TV show Arthur growing up, flash forward a few years and we were looking at the 1940's census on the house and a man called Arthur lived there. Another time I was brushing my hair and felt my hair get pulled from behind, assumed it was my mum so turned to ask why she did that and she was at the other end of the living room. Could never sleep facing the wall because It felt like I was being watched, when my bf started staying round he'd always say he felt like he was being watched on the hallway outside my room. Door at the bottom of the stairs would always open and close on its own (tbf was near the back door so I'm skeptical on this one) and could always hear what sounded like running footsteps on the stairs.
Creepiest one: I was sat in the kitchen facing the wall on the computer, dad was upstairs. I (and my dad) heard someone running downstairs and my dad shouted "stop running down the stairs so fast" as he said that to me, what looked like a white light went past my prefriral in my right eye and then again in my left eye as if someone had walked behind me into the living room. Spoke to my dad after this and he said it was clear as day someone ran down the stairs and he just assumed it was me because I always ran down them at top speed. Have no idea what it could have been, very odd timing if it was a trick of the light.
