I think Zawe is pregnant looking at what she chose to wear to the baftas.
She was drinking champagne at the BAFTAs, I don't think she was pregnant then but it's been 3 months since then so maybe they're trying.

I had to look up Ben Barnes as I had no idea who he is. I am underwhelmed, but then I don't get the appeal of Hiddleston either. I can understand Cavill as he is big and buff etc although that is not what I go for. Zawe Ashton seems too cool for Hiddleston, however I hope he is not a dick to her and breaks her heart due to his tendency for short lived romances.
He's definitely a commitment phobe but this is also his longest relationship since Susannah Fielding. Clearly it's serious if they've been living together and she's been spending time with him in Atlanta. Maybe the pandemic and the intensity of living together during lockdowns last year also brought them closer together.

I think these men are popular mostly with American women/girls because they all think having a British accent means you are emotionally more open and more sophisticated than some American dude from Hicksville Alabama. Barnes is popular right now because of Shadow and Bone on Netflix. I don't think they like Cavill because he is buff but because he has rebranded himself as a dog-loving, computer gaming nerd who just wants to settle and have kids. Personally I find him creepy, and I haven't forgotten the fact that he dated an 18-year-old in his 30s, ew.

In all honesty, I find Hiddles kind of creepy too. I have seen so many interview snippets were he makes really weird remarks to the female journalists, like telling one woman she smells good while clearly checking out her ass, or telling a girl at a convention in a cosplay outfit she looks hot. I don't know... I get odd vibes from these types of guys in their late 30s/40s who are so good-looking, have access to the most beautiful and interesting women out there, but somehow never have stable relationships. Gotta be a reason for that beyond their career. Cumberbatch manages just fine, and he has the same type of insane female fanbase. Or Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth... married for decades without any scandals at all.
Cavill is a creep, the whole thing with him and Tara freaked me out and then he went and said that age is just a number and that she 'protects' him. The picture of them making out at Mahiki was awkward and gross. Not to mention the recent controversy with his current girlfriend doing blackface and him stepping out to defend her and 'stand up' for their relationship or something. I don't think he intends to settle down with any of the women he dates. He was bullied at boarding school for being fat and had an inferiority complex which resulted in body dysmorphia when he became an adult and now he's trying to pull those girls he never could at school. It's a car crash. He's another one who projects the 'I just want to get married and settle down' English gentleman vibe and his fans fall for it. When will people get that these are all cultivated brands, it's all PR and image building and behind all of that their faves are just huge players.

I think Tom is a little arrogant and has a big ego. He reminds me of the old adage that actors and entertainers love the sound of their own voice. He certainly loves to perform, he loves the applause, he likes it when people say nice things about him even if he acts humble. The way he used to do impressions and funny walks etc, I think he was told by his management that he was hamming it up too much and now he's stopped. The dancing bear days are over, I think he's taken a much harder line and stopped being so over the top and desperate because it comes off as try hard.

I feel like a lot of actors in their 30s/40s who are good looking have a difficult time with relationships, not just because they're a little too egotistic and go on power trips a lot but because their lifestyles aren't attractive to a lot of women, him being away from home a lot, the media attention, abuse from fans, him working with costars that these actors do have a tendency to mess around with. And also the opposite, a lot of the women who want to date them just want to secure the bag and be known for being so and so's wife or girlfriend. Most of those women aren't in the industry so they start to feel like their only option is to date within the industry. Sophie Hunter is in the industry but suitably low key and I think it was a bit of a rushed marriage because she got pregnant prior. She got her fair share of flak from his fans too.

I don't cape for Chris Hemsworth, he's known to cheat on his wife all the time but likes to project the family man image, relocating to Australia because he wanted to spend more time with his family, launching a fitness app with his wife because they have such a happy married life etc. At this point I think Elsa knows but just doesn't want to leave him.

Speaking of miss Ashton, I follow her Instagram profile in hopes of popping up something related to my beloved sir Hiddleston. :) It may be that I'm in the business for work for some small companies (not fancy superstar)... but I'm guessing she's buying (or having her social media manager buy) about 1000 followers a day. I haven't tracked it accurately, but today I'm marking the date and followers (65,800). It's a growth I've been noticing for a while, however, without the proper attention. As she doesn't post anything new, doesn't interact much with stories or anything else... it's strange to me. Her engagement rate is low in relation to Tom (followers/likes/comments and other technicalities that I don't get into). If that's the case...I don't like it. Ethically and otherwise. I don't know if anyone noticed. But again, being in the business, I love to analyze these things. And getting a feel for whom I'm dealing with.
Or it might just be creepy hiddlestoners who subscribe to spy on her and try to get intel about her private whereabouts with their beloved prince charming. 🙄

It’s impossible for us to tell one way or the other, since we don’t know anything about their relationship. How do we know he is less into her than she is with him? Because he is born in February and is an Aquarius and she is born in July and is a Leo? I regard Astrology as a silly pastime so that’s no proof of anything for me.

“ I-DO-NOT-SEE-ANY-SPARKS between them”. Where would you see these “sparks”? We dont see them together. They avoid the spotlight.

Why did those rumours start?
I think because Luke travelled a lot with Tom. Parties, premieres and for UNICEF in Africa. Were often seen together in photos.

Someone on Twitter has written:
Anyone else astonished that Tom Hiddleston is 40 years old now and STILL hasn't been married, no matter how many time we fantasize about him being our husband? Coming from a stan like myself, I actually want Tom to settle down with his Mrs. Right

And some answered:

He comes across (from the very little he shows in interviews etc) as a super driven, intensely committed to his job kinda guy. I imagine it’s hard to be in a relationship with someone that driven. He’s been with Zawe Ashton for over a year now so you never know!

Why should he get married and have children?

Thank you💙 haha after writing this I dreamed if going to the doctor. And Clara it's amazing she had a child at 45. Both my grandma’s did that too but it was unintended.

The video of Tom looking confused to the song made my morning. I'm cracking up. How has he not heard that song? I thought everyone and their mother was forced to hear it at some point. It is adorable. 🥺
I wouldn't recognize it either. 🧐 But then again I tend to dislike everything that's popular.

Using this post to say I'm a newbie (dwww obvious 🤪) Someone I know told me about this board. I'm going to check what you've previously posted and then more actively join the convo.

My two cents about last few posts: not everyone wants kids. This world being crazy as it is, it is tough decision to bring a new life into it.

The night manager was good. But to be fair, so is Loki. Hes the star, he gets to show depth of character, he does serious and funny and some action.Im not sure what's not to like. As you say, the vast majority of actors are unemployed most of the time, and when they are working are nowhere near being famous, they just make a living. I went off Christopher Eccleston a bit after he started moaning about doing Thor 2. What a tragedy that he was forced into a multi million $ deal with Marvel! ( I know there were issues with both him mental health wise, Doctor Who and the Thor 2 set but at the time it just sounded like he was saying he was forced to do a superhero film to scrape a living) I much prefer the Michael Caine attitude of 'the film was crap but the house it bought me is fabulous!' Sounds like Tom has a good balance. His fans want to see him do more stuff and do more interviews but he has a right to keep his life private as much as he wants.
I think Tom was also spurred on by Kenneth Branagh, he's a respected Shakespearean actor in his own right and I think he showed Tom that you can do big budget Marvel films and also be taken seriously as an actor while doing other drama. It also helped that the Avengers films were well loved unlike what happened with Jamie Dornan, a case in point of a guy who was a great actor but ruined his career by taking on an awful franchise no one liked. You're right in that these big budget films pay the bills and there's no shame in doing it, especially since Tom does seem very enthusiastic about Loki so he's not just doing it for the money. However I do think he enjoys doing serious drama and Shakespeare more than Marvel, in one award acceptance speech he said it was an honour to get Hulk smashed but he would always love doing Shakespeare more or words to that effect.

I've seen fans complaining that there's not enough promo done for Loki but all I see is Tom doing so many interviews with Vanity Fair and Buzzfeed and so many other outlets, he seems to be on a never ending promo tour albeit virtual and I think it's exhausting him a little so I don't know how many more interviews his fans want. I think they want more and more because he never says anything about his private life in the interviews anymore and they're hungry to hear about that.

That’s a really strange life they have, these famous people. I wonder how much drama schools can prepare them for this side of the business.
I couldn't agree more about the politician role, it would be nice to see him in a "modern" role. I've never had the opportunity to watch the night manager, but I enjoyed high rise ; it would be nice to see more of that.
The majority of people who go to drama school don't get anywhere near the heights of the most famous success stories like Tom, Benedict, Eddie Redmayne, Ralph Fiennes etc even in the prestigious drama schools like RADA. I remember Josh O'Connor saying once that out of his whole year at the Old Vic, only a small handful of people have made it anywhere and they don't tell you that when you apply.

I thought High Rise was so good and he was obviously very proud of it, I think it was such a great piece of abstract art and aligned with his left wing views too. I know The Essex Serpent has literally just wrapped so maybe White Stork is next for him if they actually get it rolling. Although I feel like he might take a break until the end of the year and then head back to Atlanta to film the next season of Loki.

I would love Tom to do a fragrance advert in the vein of Charlize Theron with Dior, something really high profile like Armani because I know how much he loves their clothes. Just not a repeat of the weird Chinese advert please.
That ad made me so weirdly uncomfortable. I love him, but it made me cringe. I can't explain it. Maybe because he's just like...there...making salad breakfast, fully dressed, while the viewer sleeps? What is his job? Why is he gone so often? Why does he leave so fast, after making so much food? I have many questions lol. It must be a cultural thing that is weird to westerners.

IIRC he hates being tied to Loki for so long and will be happy to be out of it and there was something about the HiddleSwift fiasco, I think he was all for the publicity stunt (the t-shirt was his idea maybe?) and doesn't like to be told how best to go about stuff so it inevitably blew up in his face.

I think that was the craic from MM anyway
Yes that was it. He must have been forced into doing 2 seasons of the Loki TV series ( when Wandavision and Falcon/ Winter Soldier is only a 1 season commission!) I did think that made her sound like a TH fangirl rather than a lover, as her signed up for it. I also automatically think an actor is a twat if they complain about being paid millions of ££ to endure such suffering as to do a superhero franchise!

I don’t actually think they are actually “hiding”. People have seen them and met them. they were photo on the subway together in NYC during Betrayal. However they have not gone to any celebrity hangouts - neither of them really does that anyway. You never have seen Tom or Zawe at the sort of beaches where celebs get papped. I think they have spent a lot of time in the country house - which is not pap territory. I guess what you see with them is that if celebrities want to, they can have privacy. A lot of celebrities don’t want to be left alone. They love the attention.
I agree I dont think they are hiding. Just living their lives. They don't need to confirm their relationship. They are not reality TV stars!

‘And let’s face it those in though know are not on tattle’

You seem very sure of this...and whilst the rest of your post is solid this statement is not provable at all. I would contend that there a probably more than a few in the know on here grinding an axe, anonymously blowing off steam. If there is one thing you can be certain of it’s that’s you be certain of nothing. Only a fool.....
I would say that there are plenty of people on here that have insider knowledge as seen through many threads. Thats why Tattle is interesting to read. We have even had the actual person a few of the hreads are about put in their 2 pence worth!

The Night Manager is good, you should watch it!
I would like to see it, I have only read good reviews about it, but I didn't find it to download anywhere.

I respect Tom for being a bit more closed off now and not letting much slip, I feel like he'll be happier in his personal life that way. Before he would get annoyed and when his fans said 'I love you' and 'you're perfect' at the stage door when he was doing Coriolanus he responded with 'no, you don't, you don't even know me' and 'I'm not, you don't know me' and was clearly 'upset' by their behaviour. I'm glad he's not engaging with people on that level anymore and that he's just trying to stay out of it and not get so stressed by it.
How weird must it be to have total strangers come to you and say things like that.
About social media, I agree about your analysis, and I would add this: people want to get as close as possible to the magic that there is in all forms of art. Like when we want to know more about Picasso's life, it's because it makes us think we will finally understand how and why he was such a genius. As if unravelling the very core of his being would get us closer to "The Secret". As an artist myself, I am always surprised by what I see in people's eyes when they come to see me during an art show: they want to know what is so special about me (answer: nothing, really, I just love to paint).
But the truth is you can be a giant asshole and still be a genius, history is full of examples of it.
Does it make any sense? I had a very tiring day and it feels like my brain is slowly shutting down... 😅

I think the viciousness is much worse when it comes to people hating on the partners of the objects of their desire. I used to be in the Supernatural fandom a very long time ago and the bile directed at the wives of the leads of that show was of the likes I'd never seen before.

I'd be wanting 24/7 security if I had "fans" like that.
its always been like this. We just are able to see it now because the internet is so public and global. I've read a lot of interviews of older musicians saying they would have people graffiti messages around where they live and even in other places. justine frischmann of Elastica said that when she and damon albarn were going out, they'd get threatening messages (aimed at her) from fans written around their home! This whole thing of hating on girlfriends has always been a thing but the internet has allowed us to see it

I'm sure they're completely normal or crave normality
This makes me think about that video where Tom comes unannounced on stage at some convention next to an Asian young lady, and she loses it, starts screaming and crying and can't even look at him. On that video he seems so uncomfortable with such display of "admiration"...
It must be absolutely scary to have a human being facing you reacting like that. I know I would want to run far, far away.
I am pretty sure he would have loved to do so, but as a well brought up actor, he stayed and did his duty! 😅

Not being rude and not saying you are one of them but the things you have said remind me of what his possessive fans have said about her.
They do this anytime he gets a girlfriend, they try to make it out like she's some blood sucking worm who is pursuing a relationship with him while he doesn't want it/he's too good for her.

Zawe is a very intelligent woman, who just seems to be more open about her feelings. I don't understand how people come to the conclusion that "she's way more into the relationship than him" when again we have hardly seen them together, we haven't even seen them interact romantically.

Again not saying you are meaning to come across like this but these are the sorts of things his fans bring up to justify why he's too good or to discredit women
I was going to say, funny how dumb all these famous men, are isnt it? They all fall for manipulative women who are rubbish at their jobs, despite being hugely successful. They have no friends but manage to chase them into submission and force them reluctantly into relationships they dont want to have :D :D
