We’ve moved bedtime to 8pm and tbh he does go to sleep a lot better now but I miss the 7pm bedtime 😂 had more me time. When his dad puts him to bed he lies on the floor next to him and then falls asleep so I end up having to go in and wake him up then by the time it’s all done it’s gone 9pm and I wanna go to bed 😆

Awww! I don’t mind the 8pm bedtimes now corrie is on from 8pm😂 I close her door at 7:50pm and quickly tidy up or whatever I need to do before it starts. Sometimes it can be 8:15pm though😤

omg we’ve not managed to get ours to sleep by himself yet! We still have to lie on the floor in silence whilst he chatters to himself, if we left him alone he’d be out doing laps of his room all night 🤣

I really am at my last nerve 💔 my three year old has been so hard work this weekend. Crying whinging screaming pushing me kicking me when trying to get his shoes on. He’s never like this. I’m running out of things to do with him. We’ve exhausted every play area , been to the zoo , to the beach, for ice cream. Endless walks. But this week I have no money and can’t justify using my petrol as I need it to get to work this week 💔. He isn’t sleeping as well and I’m barely holding it together. He kept trying to put one of his dinosaurs in his mouth so I told him off. Omg the meltdown afterwards. Is it September yet 😭😭😭😭

I feel like our kids are in sync. I’m barely holding it together. Seems like she flipped a switch and now everything is such an ordeal. Earlier we were at the cafe at the park and we were leaving. She lost her mind about using the toilet, even though she needed it. Had a meltdown in the toilet refusing. When she finally went she did a big wee then fell into the potty. Then had a meltdown about changing clothes. Pretty sure I’m anaemic and I just don’t have the energy for it 🥲

Seems all kids are being nightmares lately. Mine hates to leave anywhere and will cry and scream and sit down 😂 I have to either carry him out kicking off or pretend to chase him to get him to laugh then he forgets 😤😤.
hope you’re ok 💘

Hope you're ok 😘 I could have written this about my almost 2 year old. She's still up 3 times a night min and I've tried to get her out and about most days of the summer just for a walk or different parks etc and I don't know whether it's developmental/teeth/the chickenpox that she's had this week but the tantrums and temper and meltdowns are unreal. It sounds like you've done lots of lovely things with your son this summer - go easy on yourself and if you need a few kinda TV lazy days with him don't be afraid to do it! There's only so much you can do.

It’s nice to know we’re all in the same boat hahah. He’s just gone to bed now!! And was actually really good. He was settled easily and just drifted off. He is tired I think that’s why he’s been a bit of a devil this afternoon.

three times a night is a lot! How are you managing!

Aw im glad I've found this thread. Not a mumnet kinda gal. Well my 3 y/o is a bleeping tornado. No people given kinda kid. They still doesn't sleep though. Comes in our bed anytime from 12-3. Currently chatting and refusing to go to sleep. Honestly I'm knackered 24/7. I work shifts so someday I'm up at 5am with a small amount of broken sleep. Or the other hand I could be working till 11 and never managed to get to sleep until 1am with a 6am wake up.

Thank god they starts full time nursery in TWO WEEKS!! See ya 👋

Edit: that sounds horrible but I've not hed a break in years. As soon as my eldest was at nursery I got pregant with the toddler. My mum has them whilst I'm at work (drop off on they way and pick up as soon as I've finished) but I'm massively over due some "me time". They are the most loving, funny child but they never ever stop ❤

It doesn’t sound horrible. Honestly, my son going to preschool 3 mornings a week is a God send. It is hard work. And as much as we love and want them, we do sometimes need a break too!

100%. Sounds selfish but I cant wait to get back to the gym and on the sun bed. Trying holidays clothes on makes me feel fugly. Like I'm not massive and I know ill never be a size 10 again but its a massive stress release for me. Anyway they are currently singing "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" at the top of their lungs. Chillin on the sofa pissing my self 🤣

I can’t wait for no one to call me to open their third packet of crisps and for all the food to be eaten within a day of getting a food shop 😂
They aren’t all bad. But when they are constant, on a few hours sleep, it feels like they are constantly doing things on purpose to piss you off 😂😂

My toddler is going through a phase where he ‘doesn’t like it’ (dinner) I can’t remember the last time he ate dinner. He ate popcorn he brought back from the cinema instead 🙃

Yes mines at the YUK stage or tummys full. Right before climbing onto the kitchen work top trying to access the snack box
