Didn’t learn it today (learned it from a question on The Chase USA lol) but the most played song in the history of the world is Disney’s “It’s a small world after all”, the logic being is there are at least one, if not more, of the “it’s a small, small world” rides installed in every single Disney theme park worldwide. Whenever they are operating, that 2-3 minute song gets played on a loop, over and over again… (fun fact, I was once on that ride and it broke down and I was trapped in there for an hour listening to that song).

That amiga is the female of amigo.

One male friend is amigo, two male friends are amigos. One female friend is amiga, two female friends are amigas

And a mixed gender group of friends (or just 2 of them, one male and one female) = amigos!
Jejeje

That justice is done fairly and sensibly every day in our courts and until today I thought the complete opposite. Today was the first time I've ever been cited for jury service and it was an eye opener.
It's a relief to know that the majority of the population are honest, normal people.

Did you get a case quite quickly? Mine was loads of sitting around doing nothing and getting sent home early

That when I took back an item for a refund & paid by Apple Pay I was asked for the last 4 digits of my card number, told it was wrong, Apple Pay have 4 digits that are used & connected to your card if press on the little circle with dots inside it.

I recently did jury service too. I didn’t know that judges can excuse people from ever being called up to do it again if it’s a horrific case. Which makes sense because if it’s a (for example) child sexual abuse case and there is evidence like photos or videos, the jury HAS to look at and examine all evidence, no matter how disturbing

I’ve always wanted to do it too. None of family have ever been called for Jury Service except my late Mom, who did it twice.

When I first started work back in the 1970s my boss told us that her cousin was on the jury for the Kray twins trial. A few years later he committed suicide - nothing to say it was connected in any way but very sad and intriguing.

I’ve always wanted to also and the only time I’ve been called it wasn’t possible.

I got theft of a sat nav. It ended the day Prince George was born. I always remember the judge saying to us “Many people remember where they were when jfk died but you can tell your future grandkids when the King was born you were dealing with a sat nav theft”🤣

I've done it twice. Both times paedophile grape cases. I'd have preferred stolen paving stone cases over those let me tell you.
I’ve done it once and had a marital grape case and a child sex abuse case. It was well over ten years ago now and I still remember some of the minute details of the cases down to names, addresses, actions etc. It definitely sticks with you and although I did enjoy the overall process, I’m definitely with you on preferring to having had an easier case to work with.

Stolen sat nav and paving stones 😂 sounds like Judge Rinder. How did those cases get to court when the police don't even turn up for car thefts these days 😂

Jesus that must have been beyond awful. Can you drop out if the case is like that and you cannot cope? I know people who have been barristers in similar cases showing images etc to the jury and I don't know how the jury could deal with it. I know I couldn't
