I got to thinking and maybe some of you that know about these things could comment....T has been taking morphine and other pain killers for well over a year now and it seems more or less on a daily basis. Now more often after surgery. I assume morphine is addictive and just wondering if there is not a real possibility that getting off this stuff will be very dificult after this long. I mean the lead up to her surgery took way longer than most cases that I have known. Long time to be on morphine.
Good question Turaj. Something that rarely gets discussed on here, T's morphine use.
Obviously very different circumstances because my better half is on palliative care with metastatic disease and very large tumours in small space, whereas T is stage 3. The hospice nurses send the palliative team from the community to access my husbands needs. The actual hospice doctor oversees prescribing along with his GP.
At this stage morphine use is encouraged to numb tumour pain, but my husband gives a lot of push back because he feels the benefit (pain killing) doesn't quite outweigh the adverse effects yet.
Those specific side effects of morphine which he hates are lack of appetite, feeling full very quickly because morphine puts the digestive system to sleep. Weight loss, Feeling fatigue and no interest in doing anything.
As someone who lives with him I see those side effects but I also see rashes, itching, random yawning and the most annoying = Withdrawal. Irritability which I knew meant his next dose was due. Its def addictive stuff.
He now only uses if he cant control pain in other ways, and I do have to say that he is much better in himself off morphine. He eats regularly, actually experiences feeling hungry and most importantly? He doesnt get constipated.
T wont have any appetite using morphine.
She's now 8 weeks on from surgery so I can't understand why she would need morphine
When she was in hospital she said she felt "drugged up" and was waiting for the nurse to bring her more pain relief. If she was feeling the effects of morphine, why was she waiting for her next dose?

I think she can use the results to her YT numbers advantage. I agree that her Jan. 15th statement probably indicated a less than curative result which we pretty well knew...absent a real miracle. So more treatment...lots of challenges in recovery....more hospital trips etc. all add up to good numbers and inching to the 100,000 goal on YT. One thing that I am really wondering about it absolute no mention of any family...especially Elodie. At this point even in the delayed videos she could have visitors....she just does not want any. I find it odd...if that was my family we all would have been there to welcome her home...the homecoming was sort of sad...nothing much there but a bunch of packages and mail from strangers. But where is her sister???
Don't read into this too much. At the moment and due to covid rules, T will have only been allowed two visitors, regular visitors, not random 2 visitors. T's had nurses going in the home, so that 'bubble' continues at home, the same way as it would in hospital. This is to protect health visitors and T. Remember T already told viewers that staff spoke to her about covid numbers rising, hence why having random visitors isnt advised. They allowed her sister and husband to visit her when she was on critical care, but wont have allowed it at ward level when T wasnt considered critical anymore.

Agreed. It sounded exactly like the fit she threw while in hospital for the failed biopsy.
I watched her first real time vid after leaving the hospital. It was posted Jan 15- the one where she said her mental state was down and her medical team did the best they could and it was in gods hands. That was a month post surgery and 2 weeks after going home. I'm guessing she had heard results and they were not what she was hoping for.
It will be interesting to see how long she keeps this going and how she presents the results, IF she ever does. More and more posts are questioning her as to why she's said nothing. I predict, if it's not good news, she'll film a dramatic vid, say she was too upset to discuss it, give vague hints as to what was found, cry, allude to more treatment and end by saying she'll discuss it in detail later on, but that will never happen.
I think T will have had good results, shes regularly online in her comments section and is interacting with them.
When she was having chemo and radio she would say that shes done what was asked, and treatments done what its done and now its in "gods hands".
My religious neighbours say similar things to me about my husband and about themselves. "we can do what we do and try our best, but ultimately its in gods hands".

Some new posts by Petrina. I didn't know it was this bad.
Tiffany would never give straight answers to people's questions.
I hope Petrina recovers. She's amazing. I know she recovered herself from ascites which are very difficult to deal with, not everyone recovers. I do see Petra has put alot of effort into learning and understanding, and I think that makes a massive difference.
