Hmm… that doesn’t look hypo to me either to be honest…

Hypo is generally high TSH and high TSH is like 4? when I got diagnosed my TSH was like 260
which is genuinely a ridiculous number… now with medicine I am at 0.93…

Although your T4 does look a bit out of whack? Should be between 12 and 22 if I look at my results?

So I found out my blood results -
TSH - 0.78
T4 - 10.9


I hope these mean something to one of you lovely people
I need to know wether to speak to my doctor again.

My TSH is 5, with medication. So I think this is totally fine! (Not a dr obviously)

I’m at a loss as to why I have the same symptoms as hypo.

It does depend on lab ranges especially for T4 to me your TSH is ok but your T4 would be low in range going off my labs ranges.

You seem to be just on the normal range so maybe that’s why you’re having symptoms.

I mentioned it again to my doctor when I had a medication review, and she wasn’t very reassuring.
Dreading going into the winter feeling like this.

Yes they won’t do anything unless the readings abnormal , you can only hope it drops below borderline for them to give you anything.

Whenever I’ve had my medication changed my consultant would always say get a repeat blood test in 6 weeks , but its hard to tell how long natural fluctuation takes? I’d just go back if you’re not feeling any better.

Yeah I think il see how I get on, and perhaps go back after Christmas.

finally had my appointment to talk through bloods and she actually recommended upping my meds?! like i didn't even have to push it. was quite refreshing tbh but i had all my talking points prepared incase it was pushed back. starting 100+25+25 tomorrow til i run out of 25s and get the new script. will book bloods in the new year and ask if they'll do T3 and T4 tests too with it being a new dose but wish i had results from now to compare.

also asked if the elevated lymphocytes were related to the hashimotos / high tsh combo and she said no which surprised me, but also said she'd read up on it which was refreshing too!

Anyone been on levo for over a year and only just developing period problems? I think my period might be here early this month but it’s over a year since I started levo after TT so I don’t know if it is thyroid related or not…

Hi all. Diagnosed with Graves (hyper) 2.5 years ago. Going back on carbimazole next week as my levels have shot up again for the 2nd time this year... last time endo let me see if they would come down on their own (they did) but that's not happening this time. She's also prescribed me semaglutide (wegovy) as I put 3 stone on last time I was on carbimazole. Has anyone else been on ozempic/wegocy whilst on carbimazole and did it help stem/stop the weight gain please?

Do you get your levels checked regularly? Perhaps you need a medication adjustment. I was getting mine checked fairly frequently first year on levothyroxine I think.

I’ve never been diagnosed with thyroid issues before (despite suffering various symptoms in the past, including having a goitre! My levels have always been normal apparently)

I am currently in my 2nd trimester and expecting twins. My obstetrician decided to check my thyroid as I’ve been suffering with a very fast heart rate and palpitations, alongside severe headaches. He only tested my Free T4 I think and I got a phone call to say it is 23 and they would expect it to be no higher than 20 (I believe the levels may differ in pregnancy to the norm?)

He basically said he needs to contact the endocrinologist to see whether they want to medicate me or not as it’s not “ragingly high”. I’m just a little concerned of the risks associated with thyroid problems and pregnancy and I’m struggling to get answers out of anyone! If I need to be on medication I am more than happy to do so. And would prefer to do it sooner rather than later!

Any thoughts appreciated

It may settle down, most autoimmune disorders do during pregnancy ,if not they may offer medication under endo care and carefully monitored as some can cause liver problems in the mum, your bloods will be checked frequently.

That’s even better , Graves usually settles down during pregnancy without medication, they’ll probably just test you again in a few weeks to see how things are, main thing is not to worry ! if you need medication it’ll be safe and well monitored.

My TSH has been <0.01 (undetectable) both during pregnancy and afterwards. My thyroid issue isn't autoimmune, it's a multinodular goiter which had become toxic so the nodules were producing too much of the hormone. I very nearly had to go on medication during one of my pregnancies but fortunately my T4 levels didn't rise any higher. There are side effects with the medication though so make sure you're making an informed choice.

I can't remember if you mentioned in your previous post whether you'd been tested for antibodies? This will determine if you have an autoimmune condition or a problem within the thyroid itself.

Mine didn't ever resolve properly after pregnancy and I ended up having half of it removed. The remaining half is very large but at the moment is behaving itself hormone wise so I get to keep it for a while.
