This actually makes me want to vomit 🤮, it’s usually paired with “hun” or “lovelies”. People that tell us all how many meals a 2lb reduced chicken makes.
It's total MLM speech now. Normally the start of some spiel the upline has told them to post, desperately trying to cling onto their dwindling list of friends because none of us want your snake oil!!

I live relatively near where the little boy died after being struck by lightning. His death wasn't announced by police until late that evening.

Soo many people posting on local fb groups saying he had died before it was announced. What is wrong with people! Imagine doing that in real life not on social media. It's not your place to announce someone else's death 🙄

And the fundraisers on the back of it... they are more to do with the organisers than the beneficiaries urgh

I always think that about announcing deaths. There are people who would be quite high up on a list of 'need to be told over the phone' but are very low down on the families list of who to call. Eg his teacher, his best friend etc. It must be so sad for a teacher of a little kid to find out on Facebook that he's died, and in such a horrible way.

I hate this, some people just want to be the ‘first with the gossip’ and don’t care if the ‘gossip’ involves a poor child. Just so distasteful.

I noticed this too. We are not local, but on the evening it happened, one of my friends posted condolences to "the little boy who died at football training tonight". I immediately thought it was one of the children who used to attend football training with mine and her kids. The news hadn't been broken yet, and her info was so vague you could only surmise that it had happened at her son's class. Really unnecessary and led to a lot of the usual "what's happened hun?" comments.

Yup! This. When my brother died several years ago, it was literally only 5 minutes after the police had left our house after sharing the news with my parents that we started receiving texts saying “sorry for your loss”. Even now, years on, we’ve never figured out how the news spread so fast.

'can anyone recommend a kitchen company'

Why not 'google' like the rest of us instead of trying to beg a freebie.

Parents that share a video/photo of their baby's poop explosion all up the back of their clothes. What the duck is wrong with them? Are they that needy for attention? It is utterly disgusting.

A woman posted on one of the local Facebook groups this week “just wanted to say thank you so much to the two girls from (school name) who bought me a card and flowers today. Thank you it means so much to me.” Someone replied asking what happened and she said “that’s between me and the girls, no one else.”

Why put it on a Facebook group then 🤦🏻‍♀️

I swear no one communicates with each other by actually speaking to each other anymore it’s all got to be done via the medium of Facebook.

Someone I have muted recently, is in the habit of posting  and absolutely nothing else. At first I joined in the usual 'what's the matter, can I help, has something happened' but she never updated and no-one ever found out why she was supposedly crying.

Another, now deleted, used to post suicidal ideation - how many paracetamol would I have to take to kill me? I've got my dad's heart tablets, if I take all of them will I die and be out of this awful world? I've got a rope and I'm wondering which beam to use etc etc etc
I used to post the Samaritan's phone number 116 123 but later the same day, there would be selfies of her and some mates out having fun, every single time. I would never ignore anyone claiming to be suicidal, but with her, I'm 100% sure she was attention-seeking.

There is a story in the papers about a "female celebrity" who has a lump on her finger and instead of seeing a Doctor she has
asked her "fans" using social media. This woman has had a previous medical issue before.

I hate it when they do that, attention seeking!

I hate it when people post photos of horrific injuries. There are specialist sites for gore, facebook isn't the place. Just say you've sliced your hand open or chopped your foot off, don't take photos. Oh and go to A&E but don't take selfies when you're there.

I seem to recall either Daniella Westbrook or Katie Price claiming a few years ago that they thought they had cancer on their finger

Daniella Westbrook had uterine cancer (2019)

katie Price had the cancer of the finger (2002)

I remember DW's supposed uterine cancer - turned out to be fibroids apparently. She also claimed to be pregnant with twins a few years back, which she then miscarried. I don't think that was true either- and pregnancy loss is devastating, it devalues people's genuine grief.

Someone on my facebook, not a celeb, posted about having chest pain and what should he do? Loads of people suggested a glass of milk, some Gaviscon/Rennies/Peptac. One person suggested A&E. It turned out to be costochondritis but if it had been a heart attack, he was wasting valuable time, posting online about his symptoms, the head.
