And she only saw the inside of the hospice because she begged for respite care, then dumped j there to go off on holiday with her boyfriend!! Outrageous to bring that up.

Kaytee was forced to take J to a&e because the school raised a concern. That concern won’t just have been logged with Kaytee, it’s a safeguarding concern. A chronically leaking peg site for weeks on end with no real attempt to remedy the issue is a failure of care. A failure of care that Kaytee is responsible for. The school is experienced with peg sites and SEN children and know when a peg site is is being properly cared for and one isnt. If Kaytee had done nothing the school would have been forced to escalate their concerns.

She is not a nurse. She is just somebody with a nursing qualification. She has only ever worked a few supernumerary shifts before either deciding it was all to much hard work for too little pay or being kicked out. No way has she passed her preceptorship, which is a minimum of 6 months for newly qualified nurses.

Using deadlines for Instagram ads on an Instagram account about your child as a reason not to spend time with that same child whilst he’s in hospital is a pretty succinct summary of everything that’s wrong with influencer culture.

The lack of empathy and self awareness is shocking.
Children’s oncology wards are like this because the children’s cancer charities fund them, believe me there’s no jealousy from me on that one. Over the years we’ve spent weeks at a time in hospital, healthcare assistants have offered to sit with my child so I could grab a quick shower and brush my teeth in private which I was beyond grateful for. The fact there was a cold water fountain was a luxury and I cried actual tears after a hard night on icu when they ordered me out to get a coffee so I could catch my breath. It’s not a holiday, it’s healthcare and each time I was just bloody thankful I got to take my child home alive and didn’t give 2 shits about a fully stocked snack fridge.

I've had to unfollow now because I just can't.
Calling out a woman just because she's a nurse. Maybe that nurse is sick of having barely scraping through the month working a 40 hours week whilst people on benefits like Katie dress their kids head to toe in Zara and buy designer trainers whilst not working.
Not a dig at all of anyone on benefits cos I know not all of them do that but just the HYPOCROISY of Katie, I can't anymore. Vile vile vile.

I’ve looked after peg sites for over 20 years and never seen one get to that stage. Any competent carer deals with it long before it gets to that stage. The hole may have been stretched by the tube always dangling and catching on things.
And to call herself frontline (at all, but especially for an ad) is an absolute disgrace.

It takes seconds to apply a tube to the peg, if she finds it easier to leave attached then tuck it into his waistband- never pull it up out of the neckline.

also when I administer meds- the surface is wiped first before doing the meds.... the syringes with drugs were just in the cup holder?!?? Not sanitary at all!!!!
I thought this too. Everytime I administer my child's meds I sanitise my hands too. She was sat DRIVING eating porridge, and supposedly giving his medications whilst driving?
Or was that just set up so she could portray the woe is me again. Poor Me I have to take his medications with me.
If she got up and was organised she'd not have had to take them. However i think she definitely had time to give him those medications before getting in that car. She just wanted to add something else to her feel sorry for me charade.

FYI....
There are many sen parents who and please don't take this as a competition it isn't... But they do have it harder than you kaytee. Physically harder. More medications, oxygen, auctions machines THEY USE unlike you, nebulizer... And they manage to get iut the house... With their child's medications in their going out bag for medications that need to be given whilst out, feed in their portable bag you get free with having an artificially fed child so they can have their feed in a safe, secure easily portable way. Spare clothes, water.
Their child sat in the wheelchair in the wav that the child needs unlike you with your ridiculous option for a car and your insistent need to put him in a pushchair rather than the thousand pound wheelchair you get for free for his posture.
They turn up to appointments on time with 15min to spare, change for the parking, note book ready to make notes for the appointment.

I hate how she is portraying such a false and shit picture of all us SEN parents who are so far away from her life. You only have to follow other SEN parents to see this.
There is no.... Maternal bone in that woman's body. Selfish and narcissistic. Using her sons disability to better herself. To use any means of funding, carers, benefits she can to not have to look after him. When she actually does have him in her care... His care goes plummeting wether that be his gastrostomy, missed feeds, missed meds, missed appointments, getting out of going in to hospital, starving him to make it easier for her... So she doesn't have to get artifical feed supply and feeding bags etc abroad to her ridiculous over the top holidays. Using every excuse under the son to get out of staying with her son in hospital.... Oh I have parcels coming... I need to hoover... I need to get deadlines done... I need to get pissed on a golf course and slag it up in a hot tub that I've left to fester and go manky..... But hey thank you followers for putting in Js pot you thought was for a chair... That was always going to get funded... I've used it on a hot tub for myself to entertain fellas and invite my girl mates round and is now riddled with thrush.

She passes him off to get her hair gifted, teeth probably gifted, eyebrows gifted, fanny waxed and probably lips plumped. Whilst he stays with carers he doesn't qualify for, never has.... Whilst other people who do qualify have a miniscule package compared to her. She then has the audacity to share others struggles with getting carers when she's sat with a 60hour "child care" in her words funded free package.

Child care.... IS NOT CARERS.

She is a disgrace to not just the SEN community but also to mothers in general.

She also blatantly thinks her actions and her care for her son is perfectly acceptable. She thinks the over sharing is helping him/her. She shares what she wants to show for her narrative but doesn't think.... She's doing anything what so ever wrong. That.... That is worrying. How long will this go on for?! Because this will end and either way that little boy doesn't benefit.

If I've learnt anything from other threads... Evidence is key. This was his tummy a few days ago.

Did she really just turn her whingey moan about how she thinks her life admin is a job (which it isn’t) into a bloody Readly ad? She absolutely takes the biscuit, she really does.

Thread title suggestion: Our Kathleen’s not really a nurse, scamming followers, just the worst

So let me get this straight, she has her house through the housing benefit, she has her motability car with free insurance (she chose to pay extra for her car extras but otherwise would have been provided free) she has free transport for J to and from school, and a free 60 hours of care to look after him whilst she’s galavanting out getting the D. On top of that, she has 100k raised for Jaxon to spend on private therapies etc etc. Gets paid income to sit on her arse doing ads for Instagram. But NOW she wants free council tax? You can’t make this shit up 😂

I honestly could not imagine a life being so damn negative about EVERYTHING. Never heard our Kathy say thank you or that she’s grateful for anything it’s just moan moan moan. Moan about the doctors, being a single parent, a fucking book in the hospital, speeding tickets, pay and display car parks.. Give it a rest.

The hospice is actually a lovely place for J to stay: brilliant care and activities for him. There’s a swimming pool, music therapy, and lots of play specialists. However, I think they’ve changed their criteria for respite care and I don’t think J qualifies anymore. I could be wrong on this though.

So, not only is the hospice far better than kennels, it’s also probably far better than being dragged around the Maldives, Dubai, Cape Verde or whatever Kaytee-focussed holiday she wants to take him on.
I don't refer to it as kennels in a way to put the hospice down or anything like that. Hospices are amazing, including the one J was using. It's in reference to how she uses them, like boarding kennels so she can go abroad. They are not meant to be used like a boarding kennel so you can dump your child there and go abroad, you're supposed to remain close incase of emergencies. There arent many parents who would put their child into a hospice purely so they can go abroad on holiday with their boyfriend. They should be used correctly and not in the way she used them. She got that hospice in the first place by claiming J needed end of life care, there is still a post up on her page where she wrote about doing the paperwork for it.

I hate to use this word generally but I can’t think of a more PC way of putting this: Does Kayteeee know that she is an enormous chav?

I cannot for the life of me understand her lifestyle. What’s with the expensive stuff and the council house? The hot tub? I mean, really, has she not stopped at any point and thought ‘Oh my god I’m actually just an enormous chav’

(I grew up in a council house, so please don’t think I am mocking THEM. Just people who live in them and walk around in £200 trainers.)

She keeps posting she is tired and has burn out.
another account a few weeks ago posted this and very much deserved carers and got carers.
I don’t see how she can be THAT tired and burned out when he’s at school 30 hours and with carers 60 hours.
I have no carers for my child. He’s only part time at school and I work part time. She gives such a bad name to SEN parents most of us are amazing people and yes we get tired but we push through we don’t blame the nhs or the drs trying their best for our kids.

Imagine being on the phone to a consultant about your very poorly child, then angling your second phone to get a photo! Wtaf. Also where's the self awareness, storying herself counting the seconds down to carers arriving when he's been at school from 8-4 and he's probably in bed already. What is she tired from exactly? Choosing filters? Rolling around naked storying from bed? Having to take him for bloods in the morning?
