The food shaming has no place. We can see that Mhari has disordered eating as she has her fasting, cutting out sugar yadda yadda and yes she's basically telling lola that her food will make her fat or she's greedy.

I know she had a very poor upbringing and didn't have anything herself so can see why she wants to give her own daughter everything she can. Sometimes though you have to be a proper mum and not your kids best friend.
The make up etc at her age is ridiculous
