It's a shame they finally got their "big break" on TV and now this has overshadowed it. Massive shame, imagine ruining your career, family life, and friendships for this.

And Alex as well?? She knew Ariel how devastating it must feel for everyone else these two going behind their partners backs under their noses. I also assume more of an affair than just kissinv in NYC, they looked a little too comfortable/cosy and to get that close in public...def been going on a while and not a one off.

Awful situation feel terrible for all of them. After all that hard work.
Agree, to have been that careless in regards to keeping it secret, it definitely feels like it's been going on to the point where they've lost any sense of shame over acting upon their feelings

just looking at the comments on Ned's insta, surprised he didn't disable them, not one positive (obviously)

Whilst it's important it was consensual the thing is YOU HAVE A WIFE AND 2 CHILDREN.

God, SNL, isn't if funny a family has been broken up *sarcasm*
it is funny becuase they did a really good job of minimising it, their writers are clever I will give them that. If I wasn;t a fan of the try a=guys and didn't know the story I would have no idea what the big deal was, the fact that it was 2 people cheating, in a workplace environment was totally ignored

i really hope keith didn’t know (to some degree) :(
I'm sure all of them knew he was a sleazy shitbag since he openly flirted with random girls on tours. We don't know if they knew of the full blown relationship he had with the employee though. I doubt they would ever admit it if they knew about it before it became public.

Really interesting says here Buzzfeed has a financial stake in 2nd try. I wonder who else does?
I feel like Buzzfeed probably has a financial stake because employees must have something in their contract like 'this has to be exclusive to us', so if you leave they essentially own the copyright to shows produced with them? (I could be wrong but I think an ex-employee mentioned something like this before, about how you don't really own your ideas there) Maybe the only way they could do it was if they agreed for Buzzfeed to have a stake. I'm guessing thats why none of the other ex-Buzzfeed staff continued their shows (especially when Kristin and Jen still work together/everyone from Ladylike also left).

From the "wy I quit buzzfeed" things years ago I already thought it seemed like a really toxic climate, which was why I was always surprised the try guys were able to leave with their brand tbh. Some of this guy's stories seem bizarre but looking at the bigger picture could be real ..he does seem pretty unlikeable though tbh . Implying that he was not hired as he was white or whatever? O found a weird undercurrent of Jordan Peterston type thing there
he is INCREDIBLY unlikeable and i found the video a hard watch for that reason (and didn’t make it through) but it has always been interesting to me that buzzfeed really struggle to hang onto their talent. it seems that as soon as a person or group makes their own name and can leave on their own, then they will (the unsolved guys recently for example, and kelsey too). it’s like they can’t wait to leave! this guy’s stories are weird and poorly expressed, but i believe them.

I watched the shrek cake video (not a title I thought I’d tune in for) and the bit where they recreate THAT video had me laughing so hard

Everyone’s unfollowed Ned, except Ariel, but everyone is still following Alex, including Ariel? What’s the real story here?

Hmmm, the fact that this person claims Alex's fiancee found out about the affair in December 2021, I can't believe Ariel only just found out about this.

Why wouldn't Will have told Ariel when he found out? There's no reason to keep his wife's infidelity with her husband a secret.
If anything, I'm not thinking it was an open marriage and everyone had agreed to it until they got spotted in public.
Now, the Try Guys are having to act and fire Ned based on the public reception rather than any legal matters,

I have a feeling it was an open secret, or even an open marriage

i think maybe they both knew from december via. will looking through alex's phone but thought it was a one off because they got caught, the assumption would be that they wouldn't have the audacity to carry it on ... but they did. i think ariel's ig statement doesn't convey much shock or surpise, so the finding out earlier this month or even last year makes a lot of sense.

I will never forget someone on Fauxmoi sharing like a year after the scandal that they saw Ned flirting with some woman at a bar again

I’m surprised it took them this long to break up after that as I have no doubt that he’s probably seen out and about a couple of times and those people probably went to Ariel’s DMs with the info too
I guess it's because they have a child together so she probably wanted to try and make it work because of that? Poor ariel, she deserves someone so much better. He's gross

i thought it was interesting that they said they hadn’t done any NDAs with any employees. Two things from that-
- I still think they may have signed something with Ned. He was never an employee. It’s probably the cleanest way to draw a line under it, especially if he was being a dickhead about it.
- They haven’t settled Alex out and maybe don’t intend to. I think they’re hoping they’ve dealt with it so well that she actually has very little leverage. So then she can either stay or quit, but the company will never have paid her off or silenced her, so they can say they’ve stayed true to their values.

As for what YB will do, she was always the best food baby anyway. Weirdly addictive to watch eating. I think they might give her a new segment but hopefully they’ll move away from the babies thing as it was, if I remember correctly, born out this idea of food babies and daddies which, let’s face it, hasn’t aged well!!

Miles looked fab in Eugene's outfit! I'm really liking the intros/outros to candid competition ATM.

I really enjoyed Zac's recent video about the gravestone recipe, I thought it was genuinely heartwarming.

This has come out because he announced his new podcast and the people interview made it seem like they'd worked it out and stayed together.

I have no real issue with him trying to come back into the public eye (it will either work or not - no doubt it will get big figures for the first one as Ariel is on it apparently) everyone needs to work and realistically he has more earning potential in front of the cameras than behind it (even if it's only for a little while).

Ned Fulmer Speaks Out on Cheating Scandal After Leaving The Try Guys (Exclusive)

According to one of the subreddits, he's simply renamed their parenting podcast (and all the reviews and subscriptions that no doubt come with that) so he isn't starting from scratch - shitty maybe but he must have come to an agreement with Ariel in order to do it (as she is on the first episode).

Maybe I'm a little bit more pragmatic because I remember Seann Walsh - UK comic who was caught kissing his strictly come dancing partner, and watched his youtube special afterwards (filmed in the back room of a pub I think). Granted, Walsh has shown a huge amount of regret for it to the point he pretty much had a breakdown afterwards. He detailed the backlash at the time and how he dealt with it, I found it quite thoughtful and self aware whilst also noting the over the top public reaction.

Seann Walsh: Kiss | Full Comedy Special

He's back on the odd TV show here and there now, but he had to start right back at the bottom.
Of course, the situation was different - Ned was a CEO and was seeing an employee.

It will be interesting to see how much remorse he actually has or if he's going to reframe it down the line, it will be more interesting to see what he says when Ariel isn't in the room. I may pay attention for a little while but realistically, he was never the most entertaining or talented Try Guy (Eugene) and I don't even listen to their podcast anymore so I'm unlikely to be gripped by it.
I'd be interested to see what the podcast talks about seeing as his whole presence on the try guys was going on about what a great family man he was. I always found him the least interesting
