eugene's rage is so clear oh my god. honestly think they've handled this really well, he was officially signed out of the company almost two weeks before things blew up. obviously they can't unfairly dismiss alex bc of the power dynamics but how often they mentioned the rest of the team in a five min vid shows they clearly care about their staff and their wellbeing. upcoming sponsorships that they're still contractually obliged to post though ... awkward

anyone else notice they contradict themselves in the video?
Keith says they found out when we found out when it splashed all over the internet.
But they also say they have been editing Ned out of videos for weeks.
Which is it?
When did they really find out about the infidelity?
Why do I get the vibe they knew about Ned's ways, indeed swept it under the rug as they say they didnt but only addressed it once something hit the public forum so widely...

Given how Ned's entire brand, and thus his family's livelihood and partners' business, rested on him being the loving father and (monogamous) husband, I imagine he and Ariel would have put some firm rules into place if they had had an open marriage, such as:

- Absolute discretion, never in public
- Not with an employee

It would have been far too risky otherwise.

Yeah, I was just recently recommended some of Alix’s videos, didn’t even knew she left Buzzfeed, but she’s reviewing her weirdest food videos and even just these short videos highlight how crazy that place is.

It wasn’t funny but in comparison their last ‘3 guys on a sofa’ super-professional-yet-also-heartfelt video the contrast did amuse me IMO, they skate a very fine line between USA overgrown lad/college humour and Just Blokes Apparently Trying Their Best and I want to be entertained so I let it wash over me.

I will never forget someone on Fauxmoi sharing like a year after the scandal that they saw Ned flirting with some woman at a bar again

I’m surprised it took them this long to break up after that as I have no doubt that he’s probably seen out and about a couple of times and those people probably went to Ariel’s DMs with the info too

Why wouldn't Will have told Ariel when he found out? There's no reason to keep his wife's infidelity with her husband a secret.
If anything, I'm not thinking it was an open marriage and everyone had agreed to it until they got spotted in public.

I can understand why he didn’t, as there are young children involved. Maybe he just wanted them to end it without breaking up each relationship

I'm sure all of them knew he was a sleazy shitbag since he openly flirted with random girls on tours. We don't know if they knew of the full blown relationship he had with the employee though. I doubt they would ever admit it if they knew about it before it became public.

i hope that’s the case - aren’t ariel and keith’s wife (becky?) very close friends? it’s a shame if keith knew that he’s “always like this” in terms of being flirty with random fans, but i guess we’ll never know if any of them actually had any idea on how far it went.

Saw a couple of clips of the podcast on a commentary channel. I dknt get why she agreed to be on it, I wouldn't be helping him at all if I was her

He comes across as a master manipulator and very clever at implying things that give a false impression without actually openly lying. He may have pressured her into it and she's agreed because she wants to keep the relationship civil for the sake of the kids. Or maybe she knows exactly what an arrogant, fake dick he is and by doing the podcast she's both preventing him from whitewashing his actions and also giving him enough rope to hang himself. Imo she doesn't help him out at all in the podcast and he comes out of it looker worse than ever.

she did! i think as soon as a creator is able to build a big enough fanbase to go it alone then they run a mile from there - it sounds an incredibly toxic place to work.

I'll be honest, he's my least favourite out of the 4 (the family guy persona came across as smug sometimes).

They've being doing stuff with only some of them in for some time, Eugene in particular seems to be doing very well with other projects, so they're not always all available. So it wasn't immediately noticeable that he wasn't around.
It's a real shame this is all kicking off just after they've finished the Food Network show (has it aired yet? I don't think it has in the UK) they really were on the up at this point. I think (hope) they'll be fine without him, they often feature other people so I think it's doable to carry on.

I hope Ariel and the kids are OK, that's the most important thing in all this.
