I find it interesting these guys weren't gonna do anything about it until it affected the company/bottom line as they supposedly knew he was a creeper long before. Typical. UGH.

I really feel so much for Ariel and their little boys. She seems like a really neat person and a good mom.

I've been wondering what Ariel will end up doing, too. She and Ned had borderline set up a husband/wife DIY/interior decor partnership (I think they even had one with Target?), obviously she was part of the Try Wives (oof), and she and Ned had a cookbook/date night series too. Everything is tied to him, their relationship and their marriage. Striking out alone won't be easy - and I can imagine Ariel not wanting to monetise their marriage recovery (if that's the route they go down) or the single Mum thing either 😕
I’ve seen some people point out how a lot of Ned’s expressions about Ariel were saying she is his wife rather than just naming her

I wonder if there’s a level of control in the relationship where Ariel wasn’t really allowed to go and set up her brand away from Ned in case the worst happened

Cheating for such a long time is really bad. It's clearly more than just sex. How there could be any way forward for Ariel and Ned together after this, I don't know.

But there was also definitely a huge power imbalance between Ned and Alex (the employee). He is rich, famous and her boss, and that will always affect their relationship even if she is a consenting adult. (But I'm not defending her actions, she's also at fault here!)
I don’t disagree with the power imbalance existing in that, I just think there’s a possibility that a lot of people are overstating the extent of it as we are acting based on very surface level details (ages, positions) rather than how the relationship developed and the like - we don’t really know anything at all

It has been interesting to see some of the Reddit comments paint her as a victim in all of this because of the power imbalance too

I’ve seen some say that Ned has been a bit of a walking red flag for a while now and pointing to things he has said in podcasts especially. I don’t follow them but I get the sense that the podcasts were sort of unfiltered for him. As an example, he told a woman that her biological clock was ticking and she was in her mid-20s (or maybe a bit older) and then apologised the next episode.

It also seems that they’ve been somewhat careless in showing their relationship for a bit now. I’ve seen some references in the comments to their weird exchanges and flirtation or something

I’d normally attach proof for ease but I didn’t think of this 😭 my fyp is full of their videos now though

I haven’t watched Try Guys for ages and was curious why they were trending earlier. Read it all like 😮😮. Poor Ariel and their children.

Everyone’s unfollowed Ned, except Ariel, but everyone is still following Alex, including Ariel? What’s the real story here?
Well she could sue the company

Ariel is beautiful, I hope she hasn't let that wonky nosed kermit-the-frog voiced sex pest destroy her confidence.
She better leave him

Most confusing thing is how did he even get either of them???

Dunn if May is accurate could be the club night?

.his seems unpopular but I almost get the sense that they possibly had an open relationship? Ariel's statement is a bit odd and not just because she's basically saying that they will work on the relationship. The story from Reddit also seems to suggest that Ned often flirted with other people in front of the guys and they didn't bat an eye. Just... odd. It's almost like they're mad that he has done this with an employee
I don’t think the relationship was open, she just hasn’t decided to leave him (yet?). That could change later.

But I definitely think the guys are extra mad it was with an employee. It was definitely the right choice to fire both of them.

I get the sense that they feel more betrayed because of the business side of things

It makes sense given that their friendship is the core of their business but it does also make me question their friendship 🤷‍♀️

RE Alex: I have seen some say that she won't be fired for legal reasons but that she's likely expected to start finding a new place to work and will probably sign an NDA when she leaves

See I feel like letting him flirt with random girls is a lot worse than having him go off with an employee (assuming it was consensual and the power imbalance didn’t affect it)

The power imbalance between fans and the influencer seem a lot worse to me and even if they’re not a fan, offering them tickets to come and see you on tour or whatever adds that power imbalance back. If the guys knew and didn’t do anything about it they were enabling that behaviour too
Yeah, they were definitely enabling him. It's very fucked up that the other guys let that happen, who knows how long it's been going on.

But there was also definitely a huge power imbalance between Ned and Alex (the employee). He is rich, famous and her boss, and that will always affect their relationship even if she is a consenting adult. (But I'm not defending her actions, she's also at fault here!)

I must admit when I read the headline "try guys cheating scandal" my immediate thought was it had to be Ned. Too sweet to he wholesome etc.
I like Keith and I like his relationship with Becky.
Eugene is phenomenally talented.
I quite like Zach but the continuation of his "single AF" persona after he'd moved in with his longterm partner didn't sit well with me tbh. Fair enough he didn't want to draw attention to a new relationship but could have toned down the series of videos about him being single!
Didn't Zach get engaged? I don't follow them anymore as I find them annoying af but the news got me over here to find the gossip deets!

a lot of stuff being posted by deuxmoi (which, as always, take with a pinch of salt) in this thread:

ariel cannot take him back, this level of absolute disrespect to her and their children :(

Takes a long time to get that comfortable. Was at least going on since winter 2021. Maybe even before. And finn was only born in 2020.
yes, absolutely!! I wonder if that DeuxMoi timeline is true after all, sooooometiiiiimeeesss they report something that turns out to be true.

It's just gross that he went out to lunch, dinner, hotel rooms whatnot and then returns home and holds his kids. Yikes.

I can’t wait for any NDAs to expire. Give us the goods!

I am a long time fan, former Patron etc. Can’t believe Ned, excited to see the future.

LOL. not Zach saying "parasocial relationships are totally cool". The dude wants to make sure the coin keeps flowing because parasocial relationships are their whole business model. Really clever and subtle manipulation.
I saw that and thought I had stumbled upon soemthing from like 6 months ago, I thought the whole parasocial relationships things was now seen (as it should be) as negative, but as you say it is basically their business model at this point... or was

Maybe Ariel is staying off socials cause she doesn't want to be constantly reminded of this.. so going through and unfollowing everyone is probably the last thing on her mind.
