I got Dream Home Decorator in the sale and I’m enjoying it but seems a bit hit and miss on whether the client likes the room. I do find it frustrating that I don’t have all of the packs so when I try to filter for Boho or Island decor items to meet their likes nothing is there! It should only let you have the options for the content you own.

Honestly at this point I wish they threw Sims 4 out and just started with 5

I don’t have the most hope in Sims 5 from all the speculations about micro transactions and what not, but surely the gameplay can’t possibly be as bland as 4?

I’ve just treated myself to cottage living, and I’m enjoying it so far! I haven’t played for ages, I’m sure I’ll get bored in a few weeks 🤣 what are your ‘must have’ packs? I feel like they could have done more with sims 4.

I personally like more game play as I like having generation families. I’m not interested in Star Wars etc.

I like Seasons, changes in weather and the holidays they have makes it more interesting. I played a lot of Discover University when I first got it (probably the one I've got the most game play out of) and I got Parenthood recently which is good if you like playing families as parents teach the kids manners etc and develop traits from their behaviour

Dream Home Decorator is doing my head in a little bit… I have deleted all their likes and dislikes and yet my Sims keep taking it upon themselves to get out of bed to admire or judge their own furniture 😩

Is cottage living worth the money? Or are there any other packs you’d recommend?

I have parenthood and pets currently

I have acquired cottage living and tbf it is good. One of the better packs I think. I’m enjoying the chickens even if they are a bit of a handful when you have more than about 4 of them. The animals can be a tad glitchy at times so keep an eye on them, my cow sometimes decides not to automatically come out of her shed and then complains that she’s not being looked after and sometimes my chickens just won’t let me interact with them so my sim stands for ages waiting until I cancel the interaction. I wouldn’t say the gameplay is especially deep but nothing in the Sims 4 is imo. Its kept me hooked for a week or so at least. But I’m a bit bored of it now.

Ive been reading about the new industrial loft kit and it looks really poor.

never thought I’d say this but the Sims 3 points shop was so much better than this kit stuff. Some of the items do look nice enough (even if they’re just slightly changed items we already have) but like… I personally wouldn’t use a good half of the items at all, and some of the items don’t look like they’d be much use in general. Selling them individually/as a smaller group would be so much better

if you are going to buy it get it from cdkeys and save yourself some money! i don’t think it worth full price.

Yeah I play on mac! I just use origin :)
Thank you! I had a quick google and saw people talking about Mac's melting, which concerned me a bit. Gonna check it out now.

Edit: It's coming up with a subscription but it says PC only? I am turning into such a boomer... 😒

I’ve been playing loads of Sims 3 recently and having so much fun. I haven’t played sims 4 games in ages and I don’t miss it. I’m not a builder, I like gameplay and sims 4 gameplay feels so unfulfilling and soulless to me. Anyone else still play sims 3?

When I used to play Sims it was always on a PC and I remember it always crashing so often it put me off playing but since playing on my MAC I’ve never had that problem (touch wood)!!

Yasss played since the first PlayStation version and was addicted as a yoof. I’ve got Xbox sims 4 just the normal simple version no add on my OG sim Carmen Chan is level 10 everything we are bossing every career and I don’t cheat if she ever dies I will need compassionate leave from work she’s been married and divorced to Frederick chan and married him again she has 6 kids by two blokes and 4 grandkids lives her best life and doesn’t look a day over young adult the sexy witch. sometimes she moves back to oasis springs and shags a few locals but Fred turns a blind eye. The only cheats I do are make families with 20k and transfer em over to her. She likes nice things and I love for achievements because I am SAD. a little sim playing 32 year old tattle troll in training.

I’ve got all of these! And I’ve got the island living one too, and get to work. I rarely use get to work, and I sometimes use island living as a day trip out for my families but rarely live there.

what was different about the game play between sims3 and sims4? I know something is missing but I can’t put my finger on it.
