Lots around me 🥺 my dog seems to think she can beat them up, she’d be out in the garden barking at them all night if I let her. Lots of growling and running around, I daren’t do much to stop her as she’s been known to redirect bite. Hoping they stop now we’re getting close to bedtime…

Had the night from hell with my little one :( . Was like bombs going off . Lots of panting and hiding . He eventually settled in the bedroom and I went through and put on some calming music for dogs , helped a little bit. He seems to get worse with them every year :(

My little pup had multiple accidents last night.
The night before when out on his walk fireworks started going off and he cowered up against somebody's gate until my husband came to carry him back home.
Hope it's over for another year now
This is him on an earlier in the day walk where the only thing bothering him is that I wouldn't play with him 💙

That's horrible - I'm so sorry to hear that. I wish they'd ban these stupid fireworks, they're totally unnecessary.

Potato dog has gone for his forever sleep, we have paw prints and nose prints and I hope he knows how loved he truly was. Can everyone give their pups a big snuggle from me tonight as it's so quiet here without him. I managed to snuggle him one last time, which meant so much as with his deterioration meant that I hadn't been able to without the risk of being violently bitten. He was the softest boy ever before his little mind lost control. I told him that he's going to be the best guardian angel our baby has as I'm currently pregnant. I don't know how I'm going to get through without him.

@FeelingPrawny aww am so so sorry, all of us on this thread know exactly what you're going through 🤗❤
@FeelingPrawny that's so sad. Its the last best thing we can do for them. Its also the bloody worst thing ever. Hugs xx

Thank you, it's so quiet without him snoring loud and tiptapping. I miss his funny little face. Honestly really broken me. Seeing all his cushions, toys and everything scattered around and wishing I could just have him back (the happy side of him) for at least a little bit. I just hope he knows I loved him so much.

I'm so so sorry (and congratulations on the pregnancy) I'm sure he's going to be looking over you every step of the way 😊

He did. I went through the same thing with my Jasper. He did have dementia at the end ...but he knew me now and again. I heard his tip tapping at night for months after he'd gone. I was so sad when that stopped. Congratulations on your pregnancy too.

My poor boy has a bit of an iffy tummy after Christmas. Hes a lab so will eat anything and everything and since boxing day has had some sloppy ish poos. He was trumping really badly as well which isnt a usual thing for him.
I'm hoping it'll clear up as I really don't want to have to spend loads of money at the vets for them to tell me hes fine 😐
His appetite hasn't changed, he's still playful and is sleeping normally.
Anyone else had this with dogs just after Christmas?

I had a Springer with dodgy tummy if she ate stuff she grabbed on the street. I used to keep her on potato and yoghurt for 24 hours. The whole rice and chicken never worked for her. Your boy is like the rest of us....overindulged for Christmas. Hope things improve soon but if theres any blood in the poo id take him to vet.

Mine just got over 5 days of it, possibly from a germ picked up at the country park (muddy puddle drinking!). On vets advice I gave Pro-biotics bought from Amazon and a diet of chicken and rice although he only really improved when he kind of starved himself for a day (didn't like the pb paste on his chicken that day!)

He did drink some gross pond water so I wonder if that has something to do with it. Ive bought him some probiotics and gave him some tonight. Ive got loads of chicken boiling as well just in case.
I'm hoping he's just overdone it and eaten a lot of rich things and drank some gross water 😂
