Me to, and even though I have a collie, I love it when other breeds are doing it!

I just watched the toy breed final, I actually felt sorry for those dogs, soo much pampering, can you imagine them running outside in the mud? Not for me, I did like the miniature greyhound.

I don't mind it I know people who show their dogs one being a Lhasa so long coat for showing and it lived a normal life. I think they just pin the skirts as they call it up our of the way if needed

Back in my day, a mix breed was called a mongrel or Heinz 57! Not anymore!

Ah bless you, we're ok. The little devil still tries to have sticks which sends me into a panic. She is pretty good when I tell her to drop/leave but sometimes she'll just look at me and run off so not great for my stress levels 😅 but she's ok, currently snoozing against my leg without a care in the world!

I absolutely can't watch crufts, any clip I see and I'm just in tears at how amazing dogs are and thinking how can people be so cruel to these beautiful, amazing beings. I'm a sensitive soul especially when it comes to dogs 😂

Speaking of muddy paws, I was feeling pretty decent last weekend so we took our girl on a bit of an adventure... We let her dip her feet and she decided she wanted to plunge her whole body in and try get a tree root around the corner whilst also pulling my husband down a very muddy hill 😅. Got her out of the water and she did that cute thing where they lie on their backs and just wiggle? So she ended up filthy...

We then went off route somehow and had to climb up the side of a cliff. At one point there was a steep drop, a lot of wet mud and a plank that we had to walk over. Got dog over and we were on it trying to avoid falling to our deaths and the bloody dog starts digging at the plank so she could play with it. I swear she wouldn't have cared if we fell, haha.

Anyway at the end of the climb I looked up and it kinda looked like she was trying to Mufasa us:

She also couldn't work out how to step over a tiny branch and kept trying to go under it and then freaking out because it wouldn't work... Sometimes I think she's so intelligent and then other times I wonder how she survives without a brain 😆.

Hey everyone!
Just a quick one for my reassurance more than anything

Gone away for the weekend and my silly doggo got "told off" by another one a bit vigorously. We thought he was fine as no yelping but checking him, he's been caught and has got a cut on his muzzle. I've cleaned it with antiseptic liquid, leaving it to air atm but will keep cleaning it every couple of hours.

Does this require a vet visit? Hes fine in himself and isnt scratching it/doesnt seem bothered about it.

Any advice would be appreciated as I've never had to deal with a bite before.

If it's not so deep that it needs stitches I would carry on as you are as long as he's not bothered (i.e. still eating and drinking as normal) and not showing any signs of infection. I'm not a vet but definitely prescribe some extra cuddles!

I'd keep doing what you're doing. You can see the bite and can judge if it gets infected. We didn't know our dear departed girl had been bitten on her neck till I found the most enormous lump that promptly burst open when I found it. She was fine after antibiotics but I felt so guilty. She'd been bitten at the doggy minders....

We are now a 2 dog family

Still got my adorable boy 💙 but also owners of a 4yr old staffy female. Rescue dog. She's adorable and settled well, she's like a puppy with ADHD though and clumsy as hell which gives her quite the character 💜

Congratulations on your new family member! They both look lovely and quite comfortable together. I know it's always a bit of a risk introducing a new dog but it sounds like you'll have no problems there. :)

How's everyones pups doing in the heat?

My boys are doing ok, love sunbathing, but they are desperate for a walk as we haven't been able to take them out all week! Looks cooler next week thank god.

Our golden retriever is not loving life at all. I've been taking her out at 6am each morning as she really loves her walks but can tell it is really taking it out of her. She's got a really playful nature and you can see all she wants to do is play with her ball but its too hot and she's too tired. Feel so sorry for her! Never been so excited to see cooler weather and rain in the forecast :ROFLMAO:

My boy is Spanish, so he doesn’t mind the heat too much. He’s raging that his evening walks are a lot later than usual though (morning walks are early during the week anyway). I think I’m more anxious about how he’s dealing with the heat than he is 🤣

Luckily we’re off to Scotland for the weekend where it’s cooler, and by the time we get back home to the North West, it will have cooled down here.

My 2 are usually solar powered but finding this way too much, very sleepy and drinking loads. Still insisting on lying at the front door/shaded area of the garden.

My boy will NOT poo in the garden though and doesn't understand that he can't just go out when he's ready so that's been a battle of wills 😂

Mine's struggling, he's normally on the go all day, but to hot for him (and me!) I just gave him a cool shower!

Mine was neutered early last week so has only had his cone off the last couple of days as it was just too much once we hit 30 degrees! He's using his cool mat a bit, flopping in front of the fan near my feet then going super bouncy on late walks after being indoors all day.
