I don't know the distance/journey times from Aberdeen to Balmoral. If they are waiting on the family to arrive, is it cutting it fine to have the announcement by 6pm?

It's feeling quite ghoulish now.

They said about 45 minute drive on the BBC, maybe a bit longer if there's crowds or the rain makes it a bad drive?

The reporter on Sky said 45/50 minutes but could be longer as its single track roads from Airport to Balmoral and could get stuck behind Farm vehicles.

A member of my family is a Tory councillor and apparently they've been told to prepare for an announcement at 6pm.

I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't already passed but there won't be any announcement until all of the family have gathered to say their goodbyes
