I worry for the future of the podcast as a 2. Tolly has other media sidelines but afaik Audrey doesn’t (pls correct me if wrong - would love to listen). I hope over the next year she builds more for herself as I wouldn’t want her disappearing if the pod went down the pan.

Although with that said just checked on companies house and Milena is still a director, which makes me wonder if there’s any chance at reconciliation?? 🤞 their accounts aren’t brilliant either 🫣

So looks like they're back as a twosome! Mondays for Your Receipts and Wednesdays for normal episodes. They must have negotiated their contract with Spotify to get more money as two episodes a week is double the work they were doing before! I hope the studio hasn't changed.

I'll be interested to hear the dynamic on Mondays episode... it will either be REALLY weird or like Milena was never there...

Anyone listened yet? They addressed everything, I’m shocked they did as people in the industry always keep these things private annoyingly. There was a person claiming to know Milena on lipstick alley who was right in that she fucked Tolly over and was too scared for any confrontation

I watched a bit this morning when I couldn’t sleep and what shocked me was how close the whole thing was to Audrey’s due date. In my mind I was like ‘well if it was sudden, you can’t plan the timing of these things’ but reading Milena’s tweets and seeing she had been thinking of it for a while has really upset me. I feel like the first week of being a new mum was ruined for Audrey by this and it looks like that was quite avoidable. I just feel sorry for Audrey in all this to be honest.

Anyway, let me go and watch the rest of this episode and ignore my work 😂😂

So reading between the lines, whoever Milena went to dinner with and confided in went straight to Tolly with this? 😳

This whole thing is in no one’s best interests. Tolly has the biggest media career out of all 3 of them so anything to do with being difficult to collaborate with is theeee most damaging for her and her alone, you’d think she’d have done anything to keep this as quiet as possible?!

I think the fact there’s only these two left speaks volumes… it was so clear for quite some time now that there was some kind of tension between Milena and Tolly. For them to say that everything was fine was a bit fishy, I don’t doubt that maybe they were going through a stage where it was all getting on better but I don’t think it was all always rosy as they as they made out.

As harsh as it is Tolly does give big bully vibes even in the podcast today she tried to be so gracious but came across as nothing but a twit! There’s no smoke without fire

I’ve not been a listener for a long time, but of the few episodes I have listened to, I also get arrogant bullish vibes from Tolly. Sometimes it seemed as though she’d disagree with someone Milena said, just because Milena had said it

I feel for Milena. I don’t care what was said, IMO you’re a bottom barrel person (would say friend but this person clearly wasn’t her friend) to tit stir by telling anyone what another person has said about them. I mean case in point, look what it has caused!!

No matter what she says Tolly has always had it in for her, and Milena definitely knew their relationship would never recover. Agree that it was rogue to do this while Audrey was so heavily pregnant but she was probably spinning from the betrayal of the dinner friend who snaked her, plus the thought of what was to come with Tolly, can see why she just went nuclear and sacked the whole thing off.

This!! I started disliking Tolly when her dislike for Milena became so apparent, embarrassing her in front of guests and belittling her. I’ve seen on twitter people saying Milena should have spoken up but we don’t know that she didn’t. We also have to remember this was her job and income and she probably stuck up for Tolly in the past when she was called out for her behaviour towards her for peace sake and I can imagine Tolly would have probably given her grief otherwise. It was clear today that Tolly was not happy that Milena didn’t go on the internet to defend her when her departure was announced. I don’t think they’re both innocent but Tolly definitely has a bigger part to play.

Also the friend going to Tolly when the conversation had happen 6/7 months prior just shows a lot of people are bad vibes in that circle and Milena did the best thing jumping out.

Editing to add that even if they had spoken and sorted things Tolly would have never let Milena forget what had happened. She would’ve brought it up time and time again, probably to their mutual friends when Milena wasn’t around and probably just continued to make little digs and snides here in there without us listeners understanding what was going on because she just seems like that type of person. Completely understandable why she just upped and left because the drama was too much hassle for what it was worth

I’m wondering if the timing was so unfortunate in terms of Audreys birth because Milena waited for the old contract to finish but needed to quit before they signed the new one

I can see it from both sides.

Yes, Milena should have maybe spoke up sooner. And yes, she could have left on a better note in regards to this supposed unexpected email then no further conversation etc. Like Tolly and Audrey said, after so many years it is just respectful to have at least a face to face or at least phone conversation to end this or mediate it. I do think just an email with no warning etc was a bit distasteful from Milena. But we don’t know 100% what has gone on behind closed doors I guess, she may of had her reasonings for how she handled it.

Onto Tolly and Audrey. The way they spoke about the whole situation was also distasteful from them. I do feel that Audrey actually held herself quite well through the discussion and seemed to be quite calm and level headed towards it all. She had quite a fair approach to me. She didn’t bad mouth Milena, didn’t have an attitude and she seemed quite fair. However insinuating that she went into labour the day after MIGHT have had something to do with this was wild. She was due that week anyway.

Tolly however, I get she must be feeling a type of way. But there’s ways to address things without coming across as a witch. She’s not a bully, she’s just outspoken and not afraid to speak up and that’s absolutely fine. But there’s a way to conduct yourself. And that discussion about Milena was NOT it. I also really didn’t like the comment she made about “I have my elders” as in - she has older family she can confide in about this. Knowing fine well that Milena doesn’t have a huge family nor does she speak to her parents etc. I might be reaching but that to me seemed a dig in the way she said it.

The whole thing is a massive shame for them all.
And I’m sorry to say, I get they probably all played a part and as we’ve established the way it’s been handled has been questionable from all of them. BUT - as much as she wants to deny and argue this - Tolly did bring this on. Period. She has had underlying weird un necessary beef with Milena for a LONG time and it’s been so clearly evident. I mean look on twitter, it is literally flooded with tweets saying that the beef Tolly had with Milena was clear for years. But yet she STILL wants to argue this. Literally 85% of the tweets I’ve read have said the same thing - these are all your listeners who HEARD it. How can you argue that 😂

I agree with you on all of this. I felt a bit bad when I listened to their podcast cause I've commented on this thread saying the exact stuff they were complaining about (pointing out footage that showed why Milena would have felt a way)... But after reading twitter etc it's like.... how can you deny something that people have picked up on from watching you interact organically?

I don't think there's any behaviour for anyone to get 'cancelled' or punished for, and I wouldn't call anyone a bully. It's just the dynamics of the friendships. 7 years is a long time, and people change, and people decide they don't gel with people any more for whatever reason. It happens all the time otherwise no one would ever get divorced or break up or fall out etc. Just life.

I also don't really fault any of them for their reactions - they're just gals bickering at the end of the day. It must be hard to have to be constantly considering 'professional' behaviour when dealing with relationship stuff like that.

The rift was SO clear when the podcast first started. Tolly went to therapy and it seemed to have helped for a while (maybe she was just being fake nice to Milena) but it seems like this situation is just undoing all her progress. She’s right in saying there’s no podcast without her, she does carry it whether people like her or not. But it’s also clear that she had an underlying dislike for Milena that’s resurfaced and like others say, all these listeners on Twitter can’t be wrong. There’s hundreds of tweets. It’s also clear she can be a difficult person that you walk on egg shells around which is why Milena probably didn’t wanna face the confrontation/ awkward discussion. Audrey is harmless imo but she’s enabling Tolly and is a bit of an arse lick because again, people have to walk on egg shells around her. I wouldn’t wanna be on the wrong side of Tolly.

I don't know if anyone listens to whorible decisions but for those who don't it's hosted by two women whove known eachother since their teens. When they started the pod, they weren't friends (just ran in similar social circles) & they had tension since pre podcasting and eventually things got so bad, that they had to go to therapy together. Can't remember the episode but they talk extensively about their sessions and how they got past their issues. Just like the receipts, listeners were always commenting about tensions and the women were grown up enough to address the issues and fix it. Their podcast is stronger than ever and you can tell they really enjoy working together even though they don't socialise outside of the podcast

It's really disappointing that all three women allowed the relationship to get this way, and deny it even existed when it was obvious for all to hear. When phoebe left in the beginning it wasn't surprising to any of us so I don't know why they thought we'd be dumb enough to not recognise tension from pre pandemic years and we know them better than when we did when phoebe left. If I were their manager, pr etc I would've had them do forced mediation as a group, and also on having one to one sessions excluding audrey. The tension was there since before the spotify deal and i think that it would be the perfect opportunity to start mediation, before the podcast grew into the big beast thatvit is today. Many people comment that it felt like audrey backed up tolly, I'm not sure if this is 100% true, but they do have similar personalities/ upbringings so I can see why that may be perceived that way. If they'd been able to air their issues out in a professional environment rather than by proxy through their friends running their mouths and talking behind their backs, maybe they'd still be together.

At the very least I feel mediation would have meant milena left in a more organised and considered manner, rather than a week before audrey went on mat leave. At the end of the day, this a workplace and a business, and it feels like none of them were treating it with the seriousness it required.

The latest episode is absolutely brilliant. I guess it's a bit of an anomaly because they were going into detail about very personal experiences, but I didn't miss Milena at all. I feel like they probably wouldn't have gone into that detail if she were there? Idk, that might be a reach but it felt like a really personal connection between the two.

I had to pause Tolly's story and just collect myself for a few hours and come back to it later in the day because my God she's really gone through it. I really really feel for her. It was really nice (for want of a better word) to see her allow herself to be vulnerable on the pod and let us in in that way. A successful first week back, in my opinion!

The messy side of me wants them to go into a back and forth with Milena over the internet, just because i love the drama 😂 but i think it's best they probably let Milena get her side out and then leave it.
