She's just setting it up to blame Jace for why he can't read, write or do anything age appropriate when people question why he's behind as he gets older. It's not her fault, she's put sooooo much time and effort into educating her chuldren, he just won't do it.
She will also use it to try to justify why homeschool is better for him. He learns at his own pace, he wouldn't be ready for school and would be left behind, he doesn't learn from traditional methods that they would do in school. When really she can't say if any of that is true because he's never been given a chance to properly learn anything.
She's so inconsistent, just getting out activities when she feels like it, constantly changing the activity so he's never getting used to rules of the games or the concept she's wittering on about. Never applies numbers or colours to real world situations, only within the set activity so it has no meaning to him. Most of his time is spent in the house (when not on holiday) so he's also probably bored of the whole environment he's in, so won't be in the mood to learn anything. Things like parks and swimming only happen on holiday. No library visits, no museums, no other children, no routine at all and allowed to do what he wants, eat what he wants, nap when he wants.
The stuff she does is more on a level that my just turned 2 year old would do, which is probably about right given that Mila is almost 2 and is rapidly catching up to Jace if not ahead with some things. There are always matching games at playgroup and the toddlers like them, at story time at the library they always do lots of counting and talking about the colours in the books.
