Years ago went on a date with one guy, anyway I got the impression he liked me more than I liked him, I just wasn’t feeling it but felt maybe I shouldn’t right it off as we had lots of common interests....anyway, he later then confesses to me he wears nappies and sucks his thumb for comfort. That definitely confirmed the ick!

😂 is this sarcasm? Not sure if it is and why it gives me the ick, I suppose because it’s childish and I wanna date a man not an overgrown toddler.
Yes!! 😂 my husband frequently takes these “long blinks” and it bleeping annoys the tit out of me

This thread is comedy gold!

Okay, my turn!

- wearing faux fur slipper boots (his mum had bought for him, no less)
- kissing me and staring deeply into my eyes and then saying "hi" (ugh excuse me while I vomit)
- getting his guitar out and playing along to a song while also attempting to stare into my eyes
- having to tip toe/ jump to close windows
- asking me if I wanted to stay a bit longer and "play board games" (after I stayed the night but we didn't have sex because he couldn't get it up)
- watching him use hair straighteners

Reader, I cringe

I loved all your points, I'm curious to hear the actual stories! 😂 Was it all from one guy or was it different guys? Start with the one staring at you and saying "hi" 🤢🤢🤢😂😂😂

I had this one boyfriend who, when we’d go on a date, he’d spend a fair chunk of it playing on a Space Invaders game or similar pub machine. Another would play darts in his bedroom. Fun times.

Yes I hate skinny men.
My hate of dating skinny men comes from a specific experience... I can't believe I forgot to mention it!

Back in my first or second week at university- when everyone was new and we all didn't know each other yet (so we hung out in big groups), I had a friend that had the potential to be more. We had been flirting from day one and decided to go out just the two of us, without our bigger group. We went to explore our university town at night, and were walking along a busy street. It was late night on a weekend, almost everybody that was out was a student from our university. Ahead of us was a group of boys, probably 8 or 10 of them. I assumed they were newbies hanging out in a big groups- just like our group of friends. My friend started falling behind in pace. I asked him what was wrong and he said he was scared of the group in front of us. I said they were just out like us, getting to know each other and the town. He replied that because he's skinny, they'd want to have their way with him (don't know if I can use the exact word).

So much wrong with that! Firstly, I was skinny too but felt large shamed that he thought they'd go for him first "because he's skinny" so what was I? 😂

Secondly, and far more serious than the first point was assuming that a group of youth (of a different race to him) standing together must be a group of felons waiting for an opportunity. I make mention of race only because there were lots of people and lots of groups around us. The group he was scared of (and me) were the only ones of a different race from the sea of people around us.

I was immediately put off by him and wanted to question his stereotype but he crossed the street before I could even vocalise my thoughts. He was so scared he left me there!

I understand that I'm being a hypocrite because I now have a bias: that skinny men will be too busy protecting themselves to protect their ladies. I'm well aware of my flawed judgement, but how that failed night went down just gave me the ick against dating skinny men.

First time poster here, but this thread has made my day!
I was recently dating a guy who didn't have the courage to kiss me until the 3rd date, and then I noticed he had girly little hands and Megan Fox thumbs. Gave me the ick straight after and I could never speak to him again!

I just got hinge again, after changing my location all over England I now think it’s literally like going through the bins looking for the worst possible item in there. One persons interesting thing about them was their abs?! Seriously?
Ughhh why would that person talk about toilet habits?? Is that trying to be edgy? 🤮

There’s a funny meme that says.. My taste in men is so bad that the walk of shame is when I’m on my way to the date. Sums me up 🤣

I once faked laryngitis to a guy so it would fizzle out and I wouldn’t see him again because I didn’t like the way he put his hands on his hips after sex.

I know I’m a fool and due bad juju 😂

-Guys who say “I love you so much” when what they really mean is “I fancy you and want some now”.
-Guys who talk to you like your one of the lads e.g telling you who they fancy either in real life or tv, while using crude language- I don’t want to know!
- Guys who use iPods or Bluetooth headsets & talk really loudly on them.
- Guys or girls for that matter who say “I don’t have time to watch tv or read a book”, when your trying to share about something you enjoyed.
-Men who are shorter than me. They may be a wonderful person but if your shorter than me- I’m not that tall 5’6- I’m sorry I just can’t do it.
- Guys who’s every other word is a swear word.
-Guys who wear joggers or track suit bottoms.

All one guy!! This was on date 3 when I went over to his (in hindsight, an error of judgment on my part) I thought it would be a chilled Friday evening on the sofa drinking wine

Anyway it started with the eye gazing which gave me the Ick straight away. I hoped he would chill out after a drink, which wasn't even wine, it was beer from a can! And which he nursed for hours in the most unmanly way. Then came the guitar..

After failed attempt at sex, he wanted to smoke weed "to help him sleep" and proceeded to put on a dressing gown and those horrendous slipper boot things to go into the garden

When I went to use the bathroom at 10pm he told me not to turn on the light/fan as this would disturb his flatmate so could I please use my phone torch

The next morning I couldn't wait to get outta there, had to witness the hair straightening, and then he asked me about staying for board games

I haven't seen him since.
