My worst ick moments were with a really good looking guy that I'd fancied for months back when I was 20,
He worked in the local butchers that mum and me would call into every Saturday he was an apprentice all handsome and friendly I was crushing badly, Eventually after lots of over the counter glances and banter the fit butcher boy asked me out i couldn't wait to see him not in his uniform as all the staff wore head to toe white with red aprons, date night arrived and he shows up - in smart black trousers that were just slightly to short at the ankle, thick white socks and ridiculously shiny smart black shoes and the ick just hit me but off we went, then at the end of the date he went in for the kiss by putting both hands on the top of my shoulders like two claws, yanking me in then gripping on for life through out the worse kiss ever ! Nine years on and bad kissers and white socks with smart shoes are still my biggest turn offs 🤢
Sounds like you were hit by and very possibly struck by a smooth criminal.

Girls, what are the strangest things that give you the ick about a guy?

(The Ick is a sudden cringe feeling when you have romantic contact with someone: and become almost immediately put off by them)

Here are some of mine. They are so ridiculous I don’t know why they give me the ick.

-Wearing a backpack on both shoulders
-Wearing goggles whilst swimming
-Doing that awkward jog whilst crossing the road when a car stops
-Wearing jewellery
-Telling a joke but nobody heard so they repeat it louder
-Jumping up and down at a concert
-Really taking their time choosing a meal deal at Tesco

Please no harsh comments to me this is just a bit of fun and not intended to cause offence:)

I seriously went out with someone who shared the same bath water as his mum! She would get out the bath and shout ‘baths free love’ He was 28 at the time. Honestly I was out of there like a flash 🤢😂😬

Went on a date with someone last year- 41 and an airline pilot. His date suggestion was.... NANDOS and a ‘cheeky’ one at that. It felt like I was out with one of the Inbetweeners. I suggested a change of restaurant- Indian, Asian, Arabic but he ‘didn’t do spicy food’ so ended up in a steakhouse (I’m vegetarian). Had an ok conversation so was prepared to work on the lack of tastebuds but then he messaged me the next day asking if I fancied coming round for SPOONING. Who even says that? He kept saying spoons, spooning like he had some form of Tourette’s then the final straw the day after that was getting a message saying WAKEY WAKEY SPOONY SPOONY 🤮🤮🤮🤮

Something happened today and I knew I had to come ob here and tell you lovely lot...

I caught my hubby scratching his bollocks with my tangle teaze. The under bit, the barse. Head back in a fit of ecstasy, one hand clutching his knob and ball sack the other rooting at his barse with my hair brush.

He said he's always doing it and it's not a big deal cos I give him head.

My mum was staying a few weeks back and was using that same tangle teazer

I had a boyfriend who used to use a sing song voice when ordering food in a restaurant. Also he’d read out the whole menu description. So instead of “fish and chips, please” like a normal human being he’d sing “I’ll have the freshly caught North Sea haddock served with triple cooked skin on chips, and seasonal vegetablessssss” note the big flourish at the end.

CRINGE

He also had ginger hairy hands.

I've never spoken about this before because it's so grim but I had to stop seeing someone because the night before he'd come down with a case of 'bad guts' but he still insisted on our date going ahead. Didn't think anything of it, he seemed fine enough. Fast forward to him jumping out of bed to have the loud shits in the ensuite bathroom. Then wanting to dive back into sex. That's not the worst bit. He then bolted back into the bathroom and as he shuffled with his arse cheeks clutched together back into the bog, I could see remnants of loo roll stuck in there from his last visit. I was too sickened and mortified to tell him the real reason behind ending it so I made something up.
His final flourish was pausing before getting back into bed, smiling grimly and then performing a 'helicopter dick' before beaming at me with pride!

All based on my ex rebound! He was 22 when I knew him..

- calling the toilet the ‘bog’
- not liking or eating any vegetables!!!
- watching him drive badly
- clearing every life decision by his mum
- calling me ‘baby’ very slowly
- when I refused sex he’d say ‘ I just want to show you how much I love you’🤢🤢🤢
- wearing the same dirty socks and pants days in a row
- eating those microwave burgers

I too have had a dealing with a surprise micro penis. Things were getting heated with this guy after a few dates, I was round his place, i put my hand down there and couldn’t even find anything at first... I was absolutely mortified. He also had a very hairy back and chest which gave me the ick straight away. As you can imagine I swiftly booked a taxi and left.
I’ve had an encounter with a micro penis too. It’s so shocking when it happens but I just felt I had to force myself not to react so he wasn’t scarred for life. It was like having sex with the tactile paving they put at pedestrian crossings to help blind people.

I’m a chronic lurker on these forums (mainly jack Monroe and cleaning with mario) but honestly had to come out of hiding for this 😂 I am HERE for the ick stories! I get it so bad 🙈 some of the reasons I’ve gone off guys:
Saying “totes magotes” 🤮
Saying “going on holibobs”
Cringe during-sex chat
One bad outfit
Eating cold leftovers
Calling me beautiful/babe/sexy 🤮

I’m gay so mine are about women, not men. I’m thinking about women I’ve kind of fancied until the ick set in, not women I’d never fancy anyway:

Wearing clothes from White Stuff
Cheesy tattoos
Being a vegan and banging on about it all the time but on investigation, they mainly eat Quorn ready meals. If you’re going to be vegan, do it properly.
Wearing tops that strain at the bust. I don’t care what size you are, but straining buttons or too tight clothes immediately give me the ick.
Lipstick on teeth
Being massively into really bad music
Liking Mrs Brown’s Boys
Owning one of those puffy fake leather sofas that looks like a fat slug With elastic bands around it. Even worse if it’s cream. Like:this

I went out with someone who was overly competative about everything. If I said I had busy day at work, his day was busier. If I said I got praised for finishing a work project on time he'd say he got praised for finishing a work project a week before the deadline.

He would brag about naff things like 'I've got amazon prime so I get free shipping' then when I said I had it too he asked how long ago i joined to see if he got their before me. He was like a man child, just so childish. If it was something like id been to new york and he hadnt we couldn't talk about new york. He would change the subject but if he'd been somewhere i hadn't he would go on and on for ages. The last straw was when we went to a pub for burger and chips. He smiled when the food arrived and said 'oh dear i got more chips than you' I said the portions look the same so he started to count his chips out.
I just get ick as soon as there's a whiff of FES - fragile ego syndrome. Any bragging or boasting is a total put off. I think modesty is one of the most attractive attributes a person can have.

A long time ago now I was with a guy who kept a flannel under his pillow...a few months down the line I found out he used it during his "alone time" and his mum would wash it and put it back 🤮 I dumped him immediately and had no regrets.

I was seeing a guy for a little while, he was a rebound from my ex so not very serious in my eyes. He stayed over my flat one night but I started to get the ick when he took his shoes and socks off in my living room and he had a fungal nail infection  he then asked to stay the night as it was an hours drive home, I let him but told him nothing would be happening as I wasn't ready (aka you make me feel ill). I then awoke at 6am to him scrambling about the other side of the bed. He had wet the bed in his sleep and was trying to mop it up with a towel which was actually just sinking it into my mattress. He then asked me to wash his underwear and tshirt whilst I was doing the bedding which would mean him spending another 2 hours hanging about in my flat. I told him it was probably best he just left now as my mum was coming round for breakfast... to which he said 'oh that's okay, I don't mind meeting your mum'. I handed him his undies in a plastic bag and basically forced him out my door, nothing repels you from a bloke like handing them their soiled underwear as they try to arrange another date with you. I wasn't rude to him but did tell him I didn't want to see him again, about 8 months later when out with my boyfriend who I was in the early stages of dating he came over to us and shouted 'I'm the bedwetter' at my bf. He had no idea what he was on about and thought he was deranged..

I have given a few of my icks but these are just examples of why I've ran away from or cancelled dates.

Prominent receeding hairline - I literally flayed a "funny turn" and went home "sick" because this lad took his cap off and revealed what was shoved in it.

A man saying another man is good looking. I can't remember who this particular date said it was someone very obscure, but it was instantly NO.

Top heavy body and head that merges into the neck - he ordered himself some pants off Wish and all, which was a triple whammy. A quadruple whammy when he actually wore them, they were on the tight side accentuating his shape even more. He was a complete arsehole anyway so I wasnt being shallow when I fucked him off.

Repetitive boring film watchers - I was once talking to a lad for a while a few years ago who was perfectly chavvy, lovely and good looking, as he lived local decided we would go to his, he asked me to make him a brew, despite me being the guest and he emerged with no top on revealing an amazing pigeon chest and 2 packets of tablets in hand. He asked me if I wanted any, to which I declined whilst he scoffed the lot like smarties. The man casually ate over 150mg Valium, then wanted to watch Braveheart, which he spoke along with word for word only breaking every so often to tell me how much he loves the film. I was bored shitless. He also had a tank full of fish, all of which had names and he spoke to them like people. Just the whole date was just one ick to another. We are still good friends though.

I was on a date recently and excused myself to go use the bathroom, only to hear him say in a weird baby voice “aw do you need a poo poo?” 😳 Needless to say that was the last date.

Girls I think I have a winner here. Brace yourselves.
so I was seeing this guy. He was/is a musician. I wont name & shame. Not like a huge superstar, He’s a rapper from north west london. Anyway, we were about to have sex for the first time when he stopped, to put on music. His own music. And continued to have sex with me whilst listening to his own song & every now and then would whisper some of the lyrics in my ear. I cringed but It didnt last long & was over by the first song :).
i thought maybe a one offthing, but it happened again so I ended it via text like a child lol.

A guy I went on a date with told me the trainers he was wearing cost in £900, I repeat, nine HUNDRED English pounds. I was like, is that supposed to impress me you absolute donkey? The guy can’t even drive and spends all his money on trainers, massive put off
Haha “you cant even drive but spend all ur money on trainers”. I think we all know a guy like this. So cringe.

I once had dealings with a micro penis. I mean, it was literally not just small.. an actual micro penis. He didn’t pre warn me or anything. It was like the 5th date and time to you know... we strip off and I see that... I literally was so shocked I asked him to close the door of my bedroom and when he went to close it, I said, from the other side please.

This was years ago and I admit - not my finest moment - but I blame the shock!
