She's American and she's Italian. Their content is always based on her deliberately 'insulting' his Italian heritage (eg by snapping spaghetti in half before cooking it).
The videos are so obviously faked and staged with him pretending to be offended, while accentuating his Italian accent and saying how things are meant to be done in Italy. It's so cringe and icky, but if you look at the comments everyone seems blissfully unaware of the fakeness and coo over how cute and sweet the videos are. I can't stand it.

I saw a similar one today where an American girlfriend asks her boyfriend living in America stupid questions. The one I saw was "do you have sweet potatoes in England?" While he was slicing sweet pots. It was so staged, he even said "did you think Americans invented sweet potatoes by adding sugar to normal potatoes"
