My manager used to be psychologically abusive to me (this was years ago) and I told her she needed serious help cause she’s an awful person. She started oversharing she’s like this because her dad used to beat her mom and it messed her up.Been lurking for a while but online dating tipped me over the edge this week!
Men on dating apps who post pictures with their kids and don’t blur their faces.
Sexual messages from strangers (especially the ones with their kids in profiles as mentioned!!)
Making homophobic/racist jokes.
Making everything about them and not asking you a single question.
Big muscley men who wear too tight shirts so the buttons strain at the chest
Short sleeve button up white shirts on a night out
shoes with no socks or wearing those little
socks that are essentially toe covers
Putting on a baby voice & acting pathetic for attention…I told a man I wasn’t really feeling our 3 day chat and wished him good luck and no hard feelings. He sent back ‘I’m Sorry’ The entire conversation he asked me about 2 questions and they were both related to his interests lol
Work Icks are people who make it obvious the office is their entire social life and try to get you to do stuff with them socially during lunch when they are a bully or rude during work hours
oversharers who tell you all their problems when you are not friends (boss told me all about his mum’s illness during a work meeting please take it to a counsellor hun you get paid enough.)
This probably makes me seem like a witch but I’m sick of people ignoring my boundaries, I have my own problems I don’t go on about them during my meetings
I’m sorry this happened but why are u telling me this? Im not ur friend. Why are u crying…This aint a therapy session. I don’t have time for this. And I understand we r humans but cmon im here to work and duck off
Same thing happened months ago when I met my new colleague and during our lunch she confessed her sister was abusive to her.

Just remembered possibly my most petty ick.
Former boyfriend saw a squirrel in the park and bent over, trying to summon it by doing that thing you do to cats. Rubbing his thumb and forefinger together and making the kissy noise.
It's a wild animal! What a dumbarse. I ended things with him shortly after that.

I absolutely relate to this! Sorry to hear it. In my experience if you are a naturally caring and empathetic person people feel they can dump their trauma on you because you seem like a friend. I think sometimes it’s because they are lonely but also some people are narcissistic pricks who thrive on attention.
It’s happened to me so often I ended up going to therapy for something else and my therapist told me I had no boundaries which is why people take the piss. Was harsh but has helped me a lot.

And I stopped and started writing that in the list of Icks and now he’s not talking to me
