New bloke at work is a walking ick for me. He is such a try hard and is desperate for attention.
I had to be in his company yesterday for 2 hours and he mentioned he is engaged about 10 times.
He says anyone who doesnt take a once in a lifetime trip for a big birthday is a loser.
Then he said to someone else that she must go sking because there is nothing like it.
He is buying a house because hes 30 now and anyone who doesnt buy by that age is a loser.
He thinks he knows all about beer, cant pronounce the brand he was drinking though.
Claims he knows everything about food, but didnt know what to order and had to have someone explain the menu to him.
He is all over our teams with cool pics and hey guys. And then fake laughs at everything boss says.
He put the worlds stupidiest job title in his email signature as well. He has he does X for Y company. Yes dear we know you work for the company you dont have to include it.
Honestly he makes me ill to be near him.
Anyone who describes someone as a 'loser' is an ick

Grown adults who get legitimately excited for Pancake Day. The shops sell flour and eggs year round.

People who have their nickname on Facebook.

Tom "Tommyboy" Jones
Fiona "Funtimezzz" Smith

Extra points if it alludes to them being a bit crazy.

I can’t stand it!! Or when (using your username as example) they have kids and say littlest islawight/baby islawight instead of my youngest son. Oh my Christ, it makes my toes curl, but most posters seem to do it so we must be in the minority!
In a similar vein, I hate it when people post a photo of their other half on social media and refer to them as "this one".

For example: "Celebrating three years with this one", or "enjoying a fab meal out with this one".

I don't know why, it just makes me cringe. 😂

Or even worse, a fucking Winnie the Pooh tie or something
An older man in my office centres his entire personality around his quirky ties.
He gets all sullen when he debuts his musical Christmas tie in December if we don't all gush and fawn over it.

I've heard your tie play shitty tinny Jingle Bells 14 years on the trot Gary and it was barely amusing the first time. 🥴

My ex mother in law used to not only say "belly" but when talking to my baby son would shorten it to "bell". "Aww let's rub your little bell" etc I honestly wanted to get pregnant again 5 days after giving birth, so I could puke on her and blame it on morning sickness.
"bell" must mean something totally different to me!!! If you said "lets rub your little bell" to any of the blokes I know they would think they were in for a good time!

'Dad' influencers/Tiktokers.

The terms - 'girl dad', 'dad life,' 'dad so hard'

Like you are literally being a parent - why all the performance?! Do you want a medal?!

Wtf I have never seen a wolf fleece in my life, where do these people live? 🤣
Their natural habitat is the town centre, they’re particularly fond of markets and bus stations. You can often see a pack if you’re lucky. You occasionally see one stray into other areas which is truly a remarkable sight.
