I really enjoyed this weeks episode because if I were to ever try and do some form of sewing then I'd probably try to rehash something old in to something new. I'd never be neat enough to make something from scratch!

I like Nicole. Clare, I like her style, but I think she is used to being the best at everything. Hmm..šŸ˜’

The design was lush but she fucked it which why I was a bit baffled by the evictee. Patrick and Esmee actively stopped her making an error in the Marilyn challenge - she has been ushered to the final I reckon.

I think Claire is edited to appear sharp and school marm-ish. You canā€™t possibly go for for that level of retro emersion and not have the requisite British manners that go with it all.
I agree with both points. Clare herself said her style is 'Young Miss Marple', they've made it so.

Nicole yet again proving she deserves to win. Loved her 80s dress it was absolutely stunning! Shame about her power jacket, she seemed really disappointed that they didnā€™t like it. It was a weird choice of fabric though. I think the right person went home last night
Agreed. I've been waiting for that person to go for a couple of weeks.

It all seemed strangely flat tonight. I got up to make a drink half way through, fed the cat, etc. Not gripped at all.

I think at the moment (unless someone really pulls something out of the bag!) Nicole really deserves to win.

I really like Clare, she was the best sewer by far, but Matt's dress was my favourite in the final challenge (he'd had too much of a mare the day before to win though).

Nicoleā€™s been getting a right kicking within the sewing community - unfairly in my opinion. Sheā€™s definitely the most creative of the finalists and has a steely core with how she manages to come up trumps after doing badly in earlier rounds
Ooo what's being said?

To those of you that sew, do you think some of the time frames are unfair? On Sewing Bee and Bake Off etc when they criticise them because things aren't perfect I think "That's because you rushed them!" I'm sure none of them sit down to sew a blouse and think "Right I'm going to do this in 90 minutes!"
:D That's why I could never do this show, to me sewing is as much about making the item as it is doing something relaxing for a bit (until my sewing machine decides to start playing up and I start swearing like a sailor).

Am I the only one that likes Clare? I'd be happy for either her or Liz to win.

Yes the one that went going was odd. The flapper dress was immaculate.

I wonder if Claire dresses as a land girl when sheā€™s being a Dr (she is a doctor right)?

I love love love Esmeā€™s style.

I love GBSB! Do a lot of sewing myself although nowhere near to that standard and can't imagine what it's like sewing under that much pressure.

Agree with what everyone's said about Clare, I find her really irritating and lacking in imagination beyond her niche.

Nicole to win!!!
