I really am over anything French at the moment, you have SJ swanning around saying all day how busy she is but what does she actually do? Besides cut'n'paste a few video's together, and ensure they don't make her look bad.

My heart goes out to Dan's partner who I have noticed does not seem to be her happy self, I really feel that there is trouble in Paradise, as Dan has allowed his Ego to overtake his family, his partner is at home all day with the boys looking after them and what is Dan doing trying to live a Chateau life. It would not surprise me if he has or had an affair because he thinks he is now a YouTube star.

I used to like Dan, I thought he was making good content, now It's just centered on him and his needs to raise money to pay for a camera his partner did not want him to buy.

Instead of begging for money all the time, Dan is improving his family's finances by making more vlogs. They have a patreon account but no coffee buying or gifts (apart from the big chandelier). Instead of gifts they encourage giving to charity. I think his vlogs are fun, interesting and well-made. I don't think he's a YouTube superstar or has a big ego. The assumption that he must be having an affair is outrageous. Firstly, WHY would you think that? And secondly, Dan's wife and sons are his utmost priority, and I don't think he'd do anything to jeopardise that. And thirdly, Annalise mainly does the patreon vlogs and she's pretty upbeat in those. I think Dan and Annalise are a good team and both work very hard.

Stop being a troll. Not one person on here (and they can sniff out a story a mile off, trust me!) is reading Dans life like that! why would you think that? You are nasty.

His wife seems perfectly sweet and happy, she has her own business too and they spend lots of family time together. He works part time at the chateau, what on earth makes you think he wants a chateau life? hes buying Ikea furniture for their house for gods sake - a sensible non chateau like decision for a lovely couple with a young family. And, I applaud him, he wants something outside the usual family budget, so he does some more videos to pay for it. In doing so he found he really enjoys it and is finding his way, working out what works well and is enjoyable for the viewer. He is hardly a Youtube star, but he is rising in popularity in the chateau viewing circles, now go away and stop being so jealous.

It was a sadly depressing video….could not understand what was happening In the background. Maybe MPotts wants out of his share of the Chateau?

In the latest Patreon video she goes over all the projects, apologizes and says they will be updated at the first of every month from now on. Apologizes for her travels being the subject of Patreon videos. Apologizes for not being able to show projects that she can’t show because they are filmed for tv. Shows 2 projects completed for tv. Says the chapel restorer begged to stay on the project at cost even though she tried to pay for the work, and that he’s recouping from his fall. Walked all over the place showing all the work. Had jeans on, hair up because it probably looked like shit, and makeup. (Big improvement). Said she’s waiting on carpentry jobs til her cousin comes in August. Said Ian’s been working everyday on a secret project she can’t show yet. Showed the inside of the dirty bed crown has been reupholstered. Basically everything we warned her about….oh and said even if she goes off she will be back every weekend to have meals with the b$b guests. The thought of losing $30K a month straightens her right up. Let’s see if it lasts……

I think Dan likes vlogging..he is pretty good at it..he is showing his skills and how he does things....i for one likes his droneshots..he has found something he is good at and enjoys,,,i dont think Annalise has a problem with that...offcourse it takes up some of his time..but i see them as a loving couple..and i dont think Dan is into an affair..his family is to precious for him..my humble opinion...

I don't think young Trotter thought anyone would find out that he was using escorts...he is vain and wanted to be seen with a handsome man now when he's been outed. Nothing wrong with being gay, and paying for sex can at times be ok, depending on the circumstances...but using patreon money on escorts, drink, designer goods, and fancy food and travel when it was supposed to be used to recreate a cute Beatrix Potter cottage and vlogs showing this progress, now that is just sinking really low and taking the total piss. He is too lazy to get a proper job, and he is too lazy to make a success of the good fortune Stephanie sprinkled on him. I said before, I can see him in a few years...and it is not a nice sight. LOL, SJ should read carefully here, we complain faster than the superfans. No one would have bat an eye if she would have taken a week holiday. But she went on castle visits throughout June. What was she thinking? She could get away with it while people are throwing money at her each month accumalating to 30k?

what you earn in a month is double the average annual salary of local people. Please stop being a little b*tch, make a list of projects which are ongoing, ask Ian and Selmar to provide you the list of materials needed, order them. Don't come with excuses that it is hard to get materials at the moment. You have already used it too many times.
Make another list with deadlines for Selmar and Ian for when projects should be finished and stay on top of them. Life isn't a fairytale not even for the superrich. Take pride in what you do and excel in it.
P.s. ask all the cadeau watchers to stop sending gifts and when you have drained that immense pile of gifts, stop that channel. That channel doesnt add to your brand. Instead use that day to make cussions/coverers/curtains with what you have been sent.

I wonder if the miserable look is that she is being forced to examine her own life & is having some sort of mid-life crisis. What has she achieved? Every material possession she has, has been acquired with other people's money. She has a chateau that she managed to acquire with money from her parents; she has hardly earned a penny from real work in her life. Her current earnings are from ad revenue for a few YT videos. She lives a hedonistic lifestyle, again paid for mostly by others. She has not managed to sustain a lasting adult personal relationship and is now with a timid young boy, half her age, rather than being in a loving, supportive, equal partnership. Most of the friends, employees and others surrounding her are drifters who also have unfulfilled lives. The fans and people financing her life are needy strangers and sycophants who lack common sense and intelligence and are searching for 2 minutes of attention from a stranger, wanting to hear their names read out on what they see as a TV programme. Maybe she is beginning to see that this is what her life amounts to. She had a lot going for her when she was young; she had financial security and a place at Oxford, she also had, what seems from afar, to have been a responsible and socially aware spouse. Now, she lives in a crumbling chateau, unable to get anything properly restored and finished and all she can manage to do is to add to all the unnecessary material possessions and fripperies that actually don't bring contentment. Maybe she realises that all the potential she had has been wasted.

Was Selmar speaking Dutch to BJJ after the chicken run? What did he say as Phyllis wasn’t happy

I think BJJ knew quite well that both SJ and Selmar were laughing at him, not with him. They both found it hilarious. Good for Selmar as I reckon they probably laugh at him a lot. I guess BJJ and SJ had a showdown after that! She's good at slapping people down and laughing at the same time and he responds by saying she is like her mother, which she hates!

It is possible to take proper care of one’s garden, of whatever size, and to have beautiful flowers, veggies, fruit trees, lawn care, perform daily maintenance needs, etc., you have to have a desire and passion for it. It can be therapy really. Lalande’s grounds are a disaster and will always look awful. SJ doesn’t care so no one else does. If you want to see beautiful gardens watch Claus Dalby. Perfection and beauty. A sanctuary in Denmark.

Natti is literally as dumb as a stump as well as ‘acting’ dumb to get by. SJ’s design aesthetic is bordering on insanity. Ugly as all hell and dated. They all need to stop encouraging her, period.

As for Selmar and his get up...what a tool.

My family has a lovely large house on the water in the South with 4 acres all landscaped. Not a lot of annuals because of deer, but many shaped hedges and flowering bushes and trees. It takes a team of six men with power tools and mowers coming once a week for a whole day to just keep it cut, mulched, and trimmed at a cost of $4000 a month. Mulch costs extra and comes on a large flatbed truck. I can’t even imagine what it would take to have a garden as big as hers, and to keep it hand watered and weeded as well as mulching and trimming that whole mess. So I don’t think anyone could say that Dan isn’t doing a pretty good job with what he has to work with. It’s a miracle really.

Analise has her own hairdressing business, so don't think she is constantly at home from what I have seen. Their previous vlogs have been mixed with some of Analise filming.
Currently, their weekend ones show more family orientated vlogs with DIY around the house etc. It must be tiring for them both.

I think you're reading more into it than what is actually occurring.
Just my opinion. I pretty much enjoy short, pithy work oriented vlogs and not droning on... other than the drone footage

Edit to add. Dan is an absolute grafter, if that is living Chateau life then God help Steph and Co. They get exhausted just getting up at midday

This is the most awkward video I have ever seen on YouTube. I wonder what would happen if Selmar looked as grumpy and fake in a Chateau Diaries vlog as Stephanie did in this video. Selmar, you can't seriously think these people appreciate you, do you? You can't possibly be fooled by a few "That's beautiful" now and again at this point.

I think Steph should hold a meeting with her team of volunteers and get them to tackle a room together every week and just blast it deep clean , this will make a positive difference and make all feel part of the solution, I like Stephanie and want her to succeed with her business but she is not taking the lead and putting the palms in action , shame she hasn’t got a better support system to help her and guide her a bit

The chateau is hers; she runs the show; the volunteers do what she asks. That the chateau is in the state it is in all down to her. She has more than enough money to hire a cleaning crew for a week to get the whole place spic and span. Her priorities are elsewhere, clearly.

Been keeping string on what I think of as SJ's body dysmorphia style in which either she or her surroundings are never right-sized, rightly clothed or situated.
So the bed crown is set on the floor, vertically, against the bed, and SJ is lying under it, trying to see how the toile she's chosen to line the interior will set up. She's staring up at the inner edge of the pelmet rather than the domed interior, which is what she needs to be looking at and which is behind her. PJ has to explain this to her.
Everyone gets disoriented and some people have no sense of direction. But inside and outside, or I think what Montessori teachers call something like object permanence (curiously chickens have it and human babies don't) or eidetic memory is something every adult without a lobotomy has.
Curiouser and curiouser.

We'll see this hanging from that bed crown soon enough
