I am with you. All the things I initially liked I see right through now, I find the flogs so irritating and I can hardly watch and then spend too long on here ranting.

This is my escape from reality (reality is currently sitting by my mother, 92, who is under hospice care since early October). It's been awful to witness. Nobody should have to suffer like this. It's heavy, heavy, heavy and very sad. The 15 haters here (I never tire of this!) make me laugh. Hospice is projecting about two more weeks for her. I pray for her release. I don't know what I'll do with myself, once all is taken care of. Sleep for days, I imagine. But also, read here for continued escapism. Some here are truly angry and literal haters (super indignant about the money). Not me. This is theater. It's fun to rant, but I don't wish any of the cast of characters any harm. Karma is real and it's not my job to enforce that. A fool is easily parted from their money--we aren't the patreon police. Peace everyone, and carry on!

Hello everyone!!!! As Philip’s parents are only here for a few days and we’re spending as much time as possible with them, I’ll release this week’s Patreon video on Friday instead of tonight. But I wanted to make sure that you received a little something extra from Lalande this evening. Michael Potts and Philip have given me some of their photos of our Christmas trees and our tartan table, and I’m very happy to share them with you all!
We had a lovely Christmas together, nothing makes me happier than seeing Lalande full of my loved ones sharing these moments together. These homes were built for large families and many guests, and it feels right when all of the doors are open in the enfilade and people are flitting between the rooms, laughing and chatting. Christmas Day is easily my favorite day of the year, surrounded by family and friends, all working towards a common goal. My aunt, uncle and Stewart cooked up a delicious storm, Michael churned out extraordinary quantities of home baked bread, and kept the drinks flowing, Pavlina and Jared turned the chateau into a magical winter garden, Amaury worked tirelessly in the courtyard through freezing temperatures to improve the infrastructure of Lalande, Philip created our most beautiful Christmas trees yet, and the epic ‘Out-Lalander’ table setting, whilst I did my utmost to capture it for you all (and for my future self!) in the daily Christmas Diaries.
I hope you enjoyed joining us - I’d love to hear your favorite moments, or any suggestions you might have for next year. I can’t thank you enough for your support during what has been a roller coaster of a month here, from the devastation of the structural news we received at the beginning of December, to the joy of Christmas, with a lot of adventures, exhaustion, laughter, illness and travel in between! In every difficult moment I’ve felt buoyed up by you all, more than you could imagine. You are all the greatest gift that this chateau has ever received - I can’t wait to see the structural work on the chateau and chapel, and the new heating installation, start in 2023!!!

A lot of us have grown a bit bored and weary about CD and Stephanie Jarvis’s. What about making this Chateau Diaries forum into a chateauverse forum? Would it be a good or bad thing for Stephanie? …and us?

I'd like to keep it as it is. We already discuss other Chateaus and people associated.
But if we change the title it will take the pressure off Fanny, and also make her happy. She is the worst grifter and I think the spotlight of our forums title should be on her.

I'm also thinking she may consider taking Phyllis a bit of a risk considering his appearance and mannerisms in such a conservative country. She never goes travelling alone and Gerry is just another handbag carrier for her. Personally, I wouldn't consider Dubai to be much of a present for Gerry as a travel destination. What the hell is he going to do there? Ride up and down in the elevator? She's going for the glitz and shopping, maybe connect with the Sultana or whatever she is. She'll fit right in, Gerry will stand out like a sore thumb. She'll return with loads of shit. Phyllis will be jealous. Fanny's the one in the middle, the only blonde. She's going to have a lot of fun in the sun!

When Fanny hung out with her other gay faux lover Michael Petherick they used to do things and actually have fun into the bargain. Make big meals, gather mistletoe (note there was none in the Chateau this year it would mean walking 100 yards to gather it). I think MP used to enjoy the theatre and creativity of creating content, unfortunately pube is as lazy as Fanny and has no creativity or taste as shown by his garage flower selection.

Well, another Christmas in the books! Time flies! Teabag hosted Christmas dinner in the gardeners’ cottage kitchen two years ago in 2020. He finally started work on the 2nd floor bedroom in October 2021 after his affairs in Madrid and short lived relationship with Andrew. In January of this year he promised a “fresh start” in 2022, but only made a total of 12 videos with his expensive new camera. Not even a Christmas video this year. Wonder what will happen in 2023? Yet another return of the prodigal son? Fresh fresh fresh start? I wouldn’t mind seeing Michael return…as long as he’s shown he’s grown a little wiser, humbler, mature, and is more driven with a sense of purpose and passion…but I’m not holding my breath.

Sending doggy love

Thank you, it took several months for me to even begin to think of opening my heart again. Despite friends and family urging me to adopt quickly that just isn’t my personality. My neighbor suggested meet with an acquaintance who had rescued an emotional support dog whose owner had died. I drove across state late in the fall for a meet and greet and came home with another sweet baby. She’s believed to be part French Bulldog and part Chihuahua. Very different personality but immediately had me wrapped around her wee claw. Which is not surprising when you know me, lol.

As one who hosted Christmas for family (and hosts friends and family throughout the year), I do not understand Fanny's mindset at all. First and foremost, I get very little sleep- I am the last to bed and the first to awake- I am the hostess, after all, as this is my home. Even with overnight guests, I plan dinner and breakfast. With long term guests, I plan all three meals and snacks. There is no way I would sleep in and just let others faff about trying to figure out what to eat. Programmable coffee pot- greatest invention ever! Brekkie usually consists of things I can make in advance- cinnamon roll dough (ugh, never from a can), crepe batter, quiche, cutting up fresh fruit, pre-cut potatoes, biscuits (I make a ton of them and keep them in my freezer), and then I set bout to making eggs, hashbrowns, sausage gravy, etc. for my guests. Lunch- we usually take our guests out via the powerboat to one of our amazing local waterfront restaurants. I usually put out a massive charcuterie platter around 3-4PM in case someone is feeling peckish. Dinner usually consists of something on the grill- steaks, kebabs or chicken, or pasta, or homemade pizzas fired up in the Ooni, along with a salad, some veg, and homemade bread. And then there is dessert- with everything from Key Lime pie to tiramisu. I always keep the electric kettle on for tea as well, but will always make a cappucino or espresso for anyone who wants one. This year, I spent countless days in preparation for the holiday not only for my guests, but to make additional baked goods for our neighbours and those in nursing homes. (I do this every year- it's a lonely time for so many who are forgotten by their families.) I always try to make sure our family and friends have the best time when visiting us- flying is certainly not inexpensive, and I try to make their time at Casa de T Rex a phenomenal experience. Shame on you, Fanny- you can't even do so when you have paying guests or family coming to stay!

This afternoon I was wondering how I got so hoodwinked by Fanny et al at the beginning, when I started watching her videos. I've just finished watching the video where MP is staying at the Chateau and cooks his lasagna. Wow, what a difference and I can fully understand why I liked them back then. I found:
Fanny was much more natural and relaxed, There was nothing forced. There was a sense of enjoyment or happiness about her interactions with MP that you don't get with Phillipa.

Mummy seemed nicer as well. She was busy in the vegetable garden with Dan and enjoying it. In the recent videos she seems to have been sidelined from the garden which is a pity. In the past I had the opinion that it was her preserve. Honestly, without that, what is there to attract her to the Chateau now? I'm not surprised that she didn't want to be there for Christmas. It appears that there are more reasons to stay away than reasons to go there.

MP was fairly charming in his interactions with Fanny and they were very natural together.

Today it is completely different. Fanny is fraught, she has lost 'It' whatever that 'It' was. Phillipa is a cancer in the heart of the Chateau and appears to me to have isolated Fanny from her former friends. I doubt that he would succeed with Kat because she'd just runover him in her rambunctious manner.

Nasty little worm-like creeps such as Phillipa can be devastatingly harmful to someone, quietly dripping poison into their target's ear. I am becoming increasingly suspicious that Phillipa could well be pretty narcissistic and a malignant one at the. The change in Fanny's demeanor could attest to this. Perhaps it is little by little robbing her of her confidence and playing negatively on her emotions. This happened to a friend of mine who got entangled with a malevolent type like Phillipa. She became alienated from her friends whom he quietly and systematically removed from her life until she was as totally dependent on him emotionally as he was on her money...

Success has just triggered in Fanny the greed, selfishness and deviousness that were there all the time, just a little better disguised. Phillipa, with it's lack of creativity, lack of social skills, lack of life experience, hubris, vanity and moral ineptitude is probably the very worst partner that Fanny could have found or, who could have found Fanny.

But the early videos were pretty entertaining, the cast of characters was good and I completely see why I enjoyed watching them.

Dan was much better at playing the Gardener under Isabelle's instruction that whatever the hell it is that he's doing now.

No, that's not Nati's mom in the red dress. Her mom has short brown hair and looks like a mom. I don't know who it is though. Very cheap looking for sure. But what do you expect from a party a La Lande. Really, not Christmas attire at all. I grew up in a conservative Roman Catholic family. Christmas day meant attending high mass mid-morning. We did not observe midnight mass as it was too late and we were all in bed. You stayed in your church clothes all day. Grandmas, Grandpas, and other relatives came for a late afternoon meal. It was festive but not really a party. My mother observed the Catholic French custom of Christmas Eve being the time to have more of a party, albeit without meat as is the custom for Catholics. Presents were opened after we ate. I know a lot of people think of Christmas as just as an excuse to over consume, but that is not the meaning at all. I no longer practice Catholicism, but I do respect the meaning of Christmas and try to practice some of the more meaningful significance of it. I would never dress as if I was a hooker or going to a nightclub. It is a time for family whatever you family may be. When I see Kate MIddleton and her beautiful family, I am reminded so much of my mother getting dressed for Christmas mass with her beautiful coat, gloves, and stunning hat. Such elegance and class! Getting a bit teary eyed as I miss my mom so much at Christmas.
