The whole thing is ridiculous. Middle age woman playing dress up in the middle of nowhere. This shows just how boring and shallow life has become at the shitshow. If you are going to live in a rural area on a large parcel, then you should farm or ranch. That land is being wasted. Imagine what could be done. Perhaps a not for profit agricultural or horticultural program for budding farmers or botanists. She is so selfish and immature.

I’m hesitant to say this (because as soon as I do, something will happen!)...but we haven’t seen any flying monkeys here for a while. I wonder if that means SJ’s minions are finally waking up to her bullshit? They see the mass exodus of past figures (Teabag, Dan, FRK, Selmar, Taty, etc.), they see the lack of progres, they see the trips, the frivolous spending…and eyes are starting to open? Speculation: It has to do with the failure of the revolution Clara touches upon at Patreon day. I get the strong feeling she was expecting support from the entourage which was not forthcoming. And that retrenchment is part of the strange lack of renovation, progress, and weird holes in Dan's and the new handyman's stories....Something is up, and Clara seems to be saying it would be unwise for her to talk about it. She hints she thinks SJ knows who she is. Definitely a change in the weather, having to do with money. No other explanation for prioritizing the Jardin Anglais and the thrice-stupid Burgundian junket channel at this time. Her only content for the year.

Off topic: Yes, that’s so true! Yet, when I wore a suit every day to work, it was actually much simpler for me than business casual. I had multiple, nice, gray and black suits, and plenty of white button down shirts. The only “hard decision” to make was what tie to wear (I had about 100 ties in my wardrobe). Getting dressed for work was pretty easy. Suits really should make a comeback for men in the office. But I feel bad for women because they really don’t have the same option as men. I think women have to buy multiple outfits and spend so much more money on clothes than men in a corporate workplace.

I agree. Suits should make a comeback for men in the office. I don't detest the more casual approach but there is something about a man in a suit. And a decent complimentary tie.

And actually, imho, I think women have better and easier choices. If only they put some thought into it. My husband, son and I had to go to the mobile phone shop recently to replace a stolen phone. We were greeted by a young lady somewhere in the region of my sons age - 18 to 20 y.o. All 3 of us made the same comment, my son included,... is that day wear? Seriously, the outfit was screaming I'm off out clubbing. It was 10 o'clock in the morning. And yet in France decent clothes and fashion are affordable. But so many lines are crossed. It's a pity. Evidence that I am getting old.

My husband wore a suit most of his working life. Good suits too. I would always try to find him fine silk ties on my/our travels. Now he no longer needs to wear a suit for work but, I can tell you, I believe him to be the best dressed chauffeur de taxi in France.

She acts like a cornered rat when asked most politely to account for something, as I know from experience. Like Markle and others demanding other people on set not make eye contact with them. She is perfectly useless as a source of any kind of logically sequenced information. It's word salad, as some have noticed in her repetition of certain phrases countless times in every video. There is cognitive distortion going on to the max, whether organic, substance-induced, willed, or all of the above, as is consistent with me and my medical degree's diagnosis of classic NPD. She does word salad like Trump does. And, as a friend points out, Trump doesn't lie. He thinks he's telling the truth, because it's what he wants in the moment.

I am thinking of moving to the country after 25 years in a small city.
Since Covid less people are socialising and my age groups have children that have left home. Moving to a more rural area is less expensive. I don’t mind country smells either! I will not be getting peacocks.
I’m nervous in some ways but think I must go for it…. Stars in the sky, few passers by. I may become a hermit.
Instead I will invite friends for small soirées. No ball gowns or designer frocks for me now! Possible some ex boyfriends
I am not giving up just thinking of me more! Reading the paper by the fire…etc. should I do it!?

Go for it I love rural but unfortunately so many villages are losing their life blood, pubs and village shops are closing and not being replaced. Personally I think market towns are where to live when you get older, everything you need can be bought locally and if you’re lucky it’s all within walking distance. For me the icing on the cake is if it is close to the sea as well. Good luck.

My only qualms about retiring to a more rural environment is the availability of quality complete medical care. I love the quiet and slower pace.

I’m really not the expert on women’s clothes (unlike Phi Phi ), so I’m not sure about their cost. For me, I could buy a nice suit for $300 - $400, a nice shirt for $70, and a silk tie for $50. A timeless suit and white shirt can last for years with proper care. Ties can last for years, too, if they don’t look too trendy. There’s an initial investment in the clothes, but they last a long time and it pays off. It just seems to me that women’s fashion and clothes constantly change and it would be expensive to purchase new outfits all the time to keep up. Of course, I don’t live in France, either!

It is sad. Very sad.
In our town they have put higher fences up by the railway line and the local council are funding Suited look outs on the bridges,not the health service. The mental health response is if they are going to do it they will find a way. Absolutely dreadful as this galvanises not deters the thoughts.
The emergency number for emergencies…. Is an answer machine.
So few places in the uk to get the help needed and to stay well.

I agree with everything you say. I was in the position of having to call on the youth mental health team when my son was 16. He jumped from a railway bridge but fortunately people got him off the track in time. I got help the next day but only because it was classed as an emergency. I found that they had a way of wanting to deal with the problem and if my son didn’t agree that was it. I managed to get him to appointments but again if he didn’t give the responses they had been taught to expect then we were on our own. It was a tough few years and a further attempt by taking an overdose. I didn’t even bother with the mental health team then just dealt with it on my own. It was his head of year at school and his rugby club that gave me the most support and between us we got him through the worst of it. During this time I was made aware of how many boys actually have mental health problems and tried to commit suicide. It is heartbreaking. It does happen to girls as well as my sister committed suicide.

The trick is to put Vaseline under your nails. It keeps out the dirt…. Her nails are also jagged and not well kept.
I was a professional gardener and did similar. It is not that difficult to have several pairs for the various levels of dexterity and weather… especially when Mummy was sent loads. Some people like soil on their hands I do not!
in any case it not attractive closE up and could have been edited differently?
And an easy trick to have smooth hands is to out a little sugar in the palm of your hand and some good body oil. Massage thoroughly and then rinse with non detergent soap and warm not too hot water. Then put on hand cream not a barrier cream but a conditioning one.
