Podcasting and Youtube channels are absolutely a job now, and they have been for awhile. That's why we're watching (even you) and that's why we're here talking about it. So far there is no proof that they are evading taxes, only speculation. This guy was recommended to me (don't remember by whom) and he started his channel with student loans that he still hasn't paid back. That seems way shadier than using your own money or inheritance to start a channel.
It’s an age thing, it’s not a real job unless it’s science, manual labourer, medicine, engineering blah blah. Thankfully young people (not necessarily age related) have more vision and creativity in this century.
Right? And old money gets a pass too, even if they've never had to lift a finger to keep investing their old ass family money.

OK I get the school needing payment for out of pocket expenses but even then I am sure expenses are less then the actual tuition...
Aside from that-
What I don't understand is why can't these kids just matriculate into the school on scholarship.
For example if there are 500 students paying tuition and that tuition covers all the operating costs, teacher salaries, rent, utilities etc... what difference does it make to add 10 more scholarship students. Are teachers paid per student? Does the tuition cover materials that are passed onto the students?
I worked in a school, we had about 20 scholarship students. While their lack of tuition did not add to the coffers, it also did not cost the school anything unless the kid was also getting meals/uniforms paid for by the school which was the case with only ONE student out of about 20 on free or reduced tuition... The teacher salaries, facilities, taxes etc were the same $$ amount for 100 kids or 120 kids... We just knew to break even we needed a certain number of paying kids//dollars in each year...
It looks to me like this school is doing well given the sleek interiors... I doubt he doesn't have the numbers to cover expenses...
Is this a for profit school? If it is for profit then no wonder he wants money and doesn't want to give scholarships...
In my case, because now I am an independent contractor, I have a few kids on reduced and excused tuition, but I do not lose money out of pocket per se because I am not providing materials. I just don't make the money I could be making... I love the money trust me, but it is more important to me that these kids have opportunity to learn. And I am hoping for good karma to come my way...
So does anyone know why Spero must collect tuition?
