My discipline and career is Behavioural Sciences, yet given a wealth of experience, the ‘why’ of what appeals to people about another person is often totally beyond my ken.
Spelling and grammar - I appall “definate.” Bloody hell, the English language has been butchered and I loathe that. I also appall (can be appal, depending on UK, US and Aussie spelling) all of the misspellings and grammatical errors already listed. There’s an app called “Grammarly,” which I recommend to my students, especially those who have actually written sentences without verbs!

As I recall when one of my kids had braces, insurance would only pay 1K USD max and the rest was out of pocket, which was like another 4K back in the 90s. . Dental insurance in US is a rip off. They typically will only pay 1K per year for any work. They cover 2 cleanings per year. 1 root canal and 1 crown will set you back 2K after insurance kicks in their 1K max per year. Plus you pay monthly premiums.
He is certainly struggling. Stephanie Jarvis has mentioned to several people that she thinks it's time for him to move on. Never a good sign when she starts referring to someone else's interest in terms like 'It would be better for him to....' and 'I would understand if he would...'
Dan however strikes me as particularly hard headed and not very good at reading a room: he will be struggling a lot longer before he sees the light. If Jarvis does want him out pronto, she'd best play her cards right with her cuz and let him do the dirty work. Knowing Stephanie Jarvis that plan has already set in motion.

The only word that comes to mind is “brutal.” Just…brutal. Dan will be next in a long line…Michael Petherick, Selmar, Marie, etc. I only wish it was Snorts or Nutty getting the boot. RE: The way people speak... In some instances, it might be a sociolect or a dialect. - Just putting a possible reason out there, otherwise I agree. I dislike bad grammar (grammar nerd/nazi here!), even if I don't always get it right.
This is very interesting. I think that Selmar and Marie 'leaving' was okay with her dim-witted followers but for Dan to go will be a major mistake. Sillyman and Marie had valid excuses, by Stef, to leave; Selmar was love, Marie was new job. But for Dan to disappear will cause a few questions. She'll also lose Annaliese, and good luck finding a new hairdresser in the middle of the country.
Dan has made the studio so he could move back there, and he could do his usual content of 'escape to rural France' and focus on his own house. He could also easily find new clients. This could actually be better content; DIY projects and we all love a makeover.
We know you read here Dan, so refocus your vlogs and escape from LalaLand.

We have a neighbor who completely mangles the English language to the point that we are keeping a list. He thinks null and void is Neil and Void. I don’t know who Neil is. He thinks it often occurs at the gas station? He also thinks Mahi Mahi is Maui Maui, we don’t have the heart to tell him. He serially dates women to have a place to live and we have told him that that practice makes him a Hobosexual. Which reminds me that I can confirm that PhiPhi is a Hobosexual. We also call him the “Purse Carry-er”.
