Because they're cheap. To get more authentic and aesthetically pleasing bulbs that would look correct would not only cost a fortune they would have to be specially ordered.
I was wondering about the wattage of those bulbs?? They'll probably be some sort of electrical outage or even a fire because of those bright bulbs? Don't know too much about that sort of thing but, seems dangerous.

Childrens books with Dereks art? Who on earth would subject a child to that pornographic detail... tits and tennis anyone? Please excuse my new avatar, it's not as high spec as @Jules100 but it's in keeping with the colour theme. 💙
I did actually wonder about your new avatar. What was it before your new found creative streak kicked in as not sure whether it is an exact replica? 😂

Well, if TKMaxx are now selling Spode, it must be cheap or the market for it has bottomed out.
I wonder whether SJ and PJ are paying more for it on Ebay/auctions/brocantes? I imagine that they know where best to purchase because, after all, they are the Spode experts - NOT!
Is TKMaxx in France, if so, I feel another road trip for SJ/PJ is on the cards. :giggle:
Certainly never seen one around my neck of the woods but maybe in bigger towns. We do have two other shops called Mille Stock and NOZ which take bankrupt stock but it's always bits and pieces, never on the scale they sell in TK (in the UK TJ) Maxx. Used to like shopping in there.

This is the 21st century version of the aristo decorator style Colefax/Fowler et al both Carrie and Fanny aspire to.

If his outfit, look, and fingernails would at least match each other. It’s his overall appearance that makes his black fingernails look ridiculous.

Here is how it’s done:

Hmm..edgy polish /dark roots combo a good look especially for an appearance in court. But you can't beat Mr Styles in the overall put together look & he's only a couple of years older than Phi Phi and his tiny pee pee.

Don't worry originally it was being funded by a donor not the tax payer then the media got hold of the story and the Albino Slug had to pay for all the refurbishments himself and a year later he is out
Good. Sounds just like someone who is very well known to Tattle Life who may just have to do exactly the same in the not too distant future. I sincerely hope so, all fingers and toes crossed! ;)

Quick thing here....I also use Tide and Downy and I do not like the smell of Tide, either! Have you considered using Tide Free? It's unscented! All you'll smell is whatever your fabric softener smells like!
I wish we could buy Downy in the UK ….it’s def the best

It’s all lovely but when in the keys it must be Key lime pie
Love to hear your menu suggestions. Key lime pie loses its charm pretty quickly after your lips start to turn into ceviche. Pastry crust or graham cracker?

Watching Potts F1 videos: Really interesting and well done.

I just wished he would show his photos a bit longer so one can have a good look at the photos instead of his shirts :p
For a photographer, I thought his video's were over exposed, he's white as a sheet... unless he's on the piss every night?

Abuela, do you not do laundry? We know Fanny doesn’t do laundry and barely knows where the laundry room is. When was the last time we saw the laundry room at the shiteau, unless someone was behind the sheet curtain fiddling with the boiler. I guess the Laundry Room isn’t too important when you only run a part-time, weekend guest house for ‘friends’ and not a full-time bnb.
Yes, I do laundry but I thought this forum was about Chateau Diaries.

No fabric softeners in my house. I use vinegar. Use percil powder. Not those horrid pills. The slime gets into every nook in the machine. Yuck! Whitener added to the soap powder for whites.
If you read the labels on most towels it says do not use softener. It makes them nonabsorbent. I dry towels and sheets. Douvet cover gets folded wet. Hand Smoothed and place on the rack. No ironing needed.
once a month I run a cleaning solution thru my machine and the dishwasher.
I’ve not heard if vinegar instead of softener. What does it do and does it smell😂😂
