To be fair, things change a lot when a child enters a relationship, and can have a detrimental effect on the marriage, been there and have the tee shirt.
My Ex Wife became obsessed with our child, no longer wanted to go out, go on Holiday, meet with friends etc, so I became just the provider.
The marriage failed two years later , no one else involved, so yes I enjoyed the fun part, we both did, but I did not see myself Selfish, or seek Sympathy from others I just wanted a life.

Iv been with my husband since we were in the 7th grade. We are both now in our 60s he lives downstairs and I live upstairs. We love each other as a family but that part of our relationship is gone. Im too old and not looking for another. Its was really good in those early years though. We had 3 kids. We are still family

Nooooo. I was trying so hard to resist. We all like/ dislike the various characters, that's fine. We must stop the spread of deliberate untruths. Some of these posts are libellous.

AMEN!!! It's as though a whole storyline has been created here with no actual admission of facts from any of the real life players. It doesn't seem to fit with the vibe I thought this group had for so long.

Poor Selmar. He seems like a genuinely nice guy who was quite happy seeing himself as a knight in shining armor during the lockdown.
I would like to think that Stephanie and Isabelle were sincerely grateful to have him during that time. However, it appears that lot took advantage of him. I certainly would feel angry and resentful if I was working my (ahem) size 4 off, and not see one red cent only to be treated like staff...
From my POV I got the feeling Selmar was becoming persona non grata when Michael came for a visit and the two of them were holed up in the Chambre Perse or Bonne Mamman or whichever suite it was...
The least Stephi could have done was welcome (tolerate) Tatiana if only out of gratitude for all that Selmar did... She should have reined in the rottweiler. But flitting about was more important.
Looks like Tatiana and the Nutti mouth opened his eyes...
I'm truly sad he was treated so badly.

(If anything, I now suspect she was an enabler to Dodo Dan in all of this- but felt their relationship fail would add to to her vlog to gain sympathy- "I have given him safe harbour", viewers, and deflect from the missing financials.) It is in very poor taste, as much as her, "We're going to be hosting a refugee from Ukraine- just one person Natalia vetted, but let's open gifts!" vlog. There are so many things I could say, but, where does even one begin? @Clara Burnett has more than been proven right on all accounts, and these latest developments are an example of Fanny's narcissistic ways- she could give two forks about those around her, or those suffering in the world- it is all about Fanny, and she will make everything that happens in the world about her. Sadly, if Fanny were truly a good person, she's host more than ONE refugee, like a few families, as she has plenty of room.

How long do you think the Patrons are going to put up with this before they report her to the French government? The reason she skirts government regulations is that she doesn't actually advertise as a gite or BnB. She calls them "rooms" and "self-catering" apartments. This is also why she's not on Air BnB or any other vacation rental sites. Also, am I right in remembering that she formed a tax-free historic preservation fund for patron funds? Her patrons were recommending she do this because they didn't want their donations taxed. And I think she announced it at one point when mummy was still there. Otherwise, she has to pay about 50% tax on all gifts. That's also why she made Chateau Unwrapped a not-for-profit charity.

And this is where the greedy cow went wrong. She should have settled for paying taxes leaving her to blow all that money any which way she wanted, without having to answer to anyone...

Apart from the ones who are like her, or her flying monkeys, all the rest are very weak people with no personality, or who maybe have some issue of past traumas in their lives, hence a good source of energy supply. You know, like when a vampire sticks his teeth into your neck, there is a sort of ipnose and you are unable to react. Annelise is probably no exception, otherwise she wouldn't have been stuck with that Dan fella, whose real personality has finally surfaced. I have read in some previous posts that SJ ruined and corrupted him, as he was such a nice boy before. But you don't change a personality. What he is now was already there, just waiting for the right moment to show.

Come on now. You all are giving Stephanie far more power than she merits. Amaury, Natty, Dan, and everyone else that works at Chateau (minus Snorts) are there to earn a living or for other purposes. You can’t make money working for a poor person and there is no reason for anyone to stay or come back repeatedly if the don’t enjoy being there.. If the money dried up tomorrow, those that need to make money would all be gone. As for this mystical power she is credited with of destroying relationships, I fail to see how she earns this distinction. Maria moved on because she wasn’t going to make money as a florist or a vlogger in the middle of no where. Beyond that she needs to figure her own tit out and stop drifting aimlessly from country to country. That isn’t Stephanie’s doing, that is 100 % Marie. Selmar was never going to be long term fit and he had his own dreams to pursue, which I hope he will do now. Dan and Analisse’s problems are not anyone’s else’s responsibilty but their own. Trying to blame Stephanie or putting the blame entirely on Dan as an emotionally abusive adulterer, who is cheating with half of the French countryside with the ever growing list of conquests being provided here, is quite frankly absurd. No one has proof of anything, just a lot of conjecture based on projection and perception, not factual proof. Annalise has all but been elevated to sainthood. Stephanie is many things, but what she isn’t is some powerful force destroying peoples lives. She avoids confrontation, she lacks the ability to focus and see things through and she lies to herself and to others. She is a child in a woman’s body and she lives in her own world of pretense and fantasy. That isn’t power, it’s weakness.

after my car accident, Fanny's way of showing compassion was to drop off a candle and some bath salts and then run off to dinner. Can you imagine her doing that to a war refuge? Vetted by Nutty? What the hell does that mean? Hosts don't "vet" refugees. The agency "vets" the host. And there's no way Fanny is going to go through a legitimate agency. It sounds like someone from Ukraine has asked to come there as a volunteer, which means there will be no oversight and Fanny can use that person as unpaid labor. It looks like borscht and deruni are on the menu. I wish there was a way to warn this person to stay away.

That sounds about right. If you listen to Clara, she was gone more than she was there before her channel took off during lockdown. She never even sent money home to feed the animals. How refreshing to find a channel who is not on here begging for money through patronage or 'buy me a coffee' schemes, but are advertising for donations to UNHCR although I do feel you need to put a proper link. I am sick to death of these champagne socialists on here who own half of France and ask the poor and the vulnerable to pay for their privileged lifestyles. Sickening during Wartimes.
