Possibly but I also wonder if they would have had solo careers but got back together now and again for the odd project (which they mention in Get Back but never did). I do think the horrendous way they treated each other legally was because there weren't any grown ups around to manage the situation better.
Agreed. I think Sean expressed it well when he sort of disagrees with Paul about when Paul grew up. Paul think it’s when the Beatles split, Sean believes it’s when his father was murdered. Let’s face it they were among, if not the most famous men in the world when they split. There wasn’t really anyone saying come on guys your friends, brothers don’t treat each other like this. There wasn’t anybody to say no. How much longer Brian could have contained things and kept them on track I’m not sure. I don’t think John handled things in the right way by saying he wanted a divorce, but nobody was to know. The journalists who were told didn’t publish the story, then Paul puts out a press release saying that’s it The Beatles are over. I do agree that if all this happened today they might have just gone on hiatus and who knows might have collaborated with each other, before reuniting

When Anthology was being prepared, Carnival of Light was vetoed for release by George Harrison. Maybe Paul doesn't want to make Olivia Harrison make a decision that may go againt Georges wishes.
On the other hand, George called Now and Then 'bleeping rubbish', and Paul completed it. Olivia said it was because the technical side was bad, not the song, but maybe she is being polite.
Really enjoyed Man on the Run. Beautiful footage of Paul's farm, lovely moments captured of Linda (RIP) and the kids. Some touching moments especially talking about John near the end with nice words from Sean.

Don't we all know and accept by now that the Beatles, while musical greats, were four men each very flawed in his own way and John especially so? I don't get why people need to call him a b and a wife beater when they get the chance. Not because I'm downplaying those things but it's been gone over so much it's weird that people act like the town crier over the big news.
And sort of related it's digsusting to see the way people troll Sean. He bats it back masterfully but I wish it didn't happen at all. Digital age fandom is so toxic.

There's a big problem with people chasing clout on the internet. They think that by going on about flaws or past transgressions in celebrities (or indeed anyone) publicly, it makes them the bigger person and signals how virtuous they are. In the case of John, it's absolutely people who cannot think critically and like to throw stones from their glass houses.
I put them in the same category as people who vehemently criticise the Beatles as overrated and not even being that good. They're usually the ones using the justification that John and Ringo beat their wives for why nobody should like them and they should like what they like instead.
There was a meme going around the community in the form of a satire news headline a while back:
"Man gets little rush by telling people John Lennon used to beat his wife."
Yes they were/are flawed men. George slept with Ringo’s wife and when asked why, he said incest. He cheated on Olivia too. Paul cheated on Jane, and I believe he told a woman not to cry over him because hes a wick.

I won't lie, there was a tear in my eye listening to it. The frailness of his voice matches the song perfectly and reminded me of Johnny Cash singing Hurt. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album, it sounds like it's going to be an absolute banger if Days We Left Behind is anything to go on. Yeah I had tears in my eyes when I listened to it. I’ve heard Paul criticised for not being a great lyricist (I disagree) but he has written some beautiful lyrics there. By the sounds of the themes in the new album the frailty in his voice will make it an emotional listen.

The way he supported Cynthia and Julian when Yoko was an absolute witch to them speaks volumes. He didn't have to do that but to me it shows what a decent bloke he is.
