She's quite likeable compared to other YT influencers. Those eyebrows though...she's like a poor man's Lucy Hale. Harsh I know but accurate.

It's a lovely place, I wouldn't mind living there long term. The bathroom isn't to my taste, but hey, it's not my bathroom.

I'm curious about what kind of a place they will be moving to next; I usually like Anna's taste in decor. It's not very unique or exciting but it's clean and I like the simplicity. I hope she doesn't pull a Lily Pebbles and decorate her new house with whatever freebies she is offered and create a senseless mess, only to complain about it afterwards. Despite her strange fashion sense, I don't mind Anna being "boring" much, as I'm not subscribed and I only watch her maybe a dozen times a year; but I'd be interested to keep up to see home renovations.

There doesn't seem to be much depth or breadth for so many of these 'influences'/ content creators/ whatever you call them - Anna could add more depth to her content so easily - really learn about fashion, materials, cuts etc. Try new, out of her comfort stuff. Really learn to cook properly - develop her palette and technique and talk about it. Do city guides, talk about how they plan their travel (though realise most of them don't - the brands do!) Learn new skills, talk about photography, the mechanics of what they do...They all seem to take the easy road, which must actually be more dull for them in the long run?

It's incredible how few 'bloggers' can be bothered to proofread their 'work.'
Yeah, Anna has freely admitted she hates proofreading. Would love to get away with that in my job - 'sorry, I don't really like it and couldn't arsed so didn't bother'. One or two odd mistakes, hey, we're all human, but every post has them. She must rattle them out in minutes.

She is lucky she has good shape and fullness to her brows but i cannot understand why she has them like that they genuinely look awful. That eyeshadow looks like an eye infection.

Not that it matters either way but Anna is 31 this year.
Thanks, my bad. I though she was turning 30. It’s anyway an irrelevant number when framing a conversation about discussing other people’s life choices. As I said, in my view, speculation about trying to conceive is inappropriate regardless of someone’s age, be that 29, 31 or 40.

Anna's got a new post up about her wardrobe and clothes spending - she's spending on average of £324 a month on clothes, which is nearly £4000 by the end of the year if that continues!

It's an upstairs of a house!???! She hosted her wedding in it. Mad.
She’s always been very clear about it being an upstairs flat. It’s a shame I can’t seem to work out how to find sold properties on the British real estate sites, but that serves me right about being so nosy.

As for the wedding, at the time it was also obvious to me that they just threw some kind of house party, not a proper, traditional wedding. I actually like that approach. Especially in comparison to Lily who kept saying she wasn’t doing a traditional wedding, when she really was doing a fairly normal wedding. A lot of people say they want to have a small wedding, but as they go, it gets bigger and bigger. I kind of like that Anna really kept it simple. Even though I do think mark might have played a big role in that, he does not seem like the type to want to spend a lot of money on a wedding.

Anna’s two recent posts or videos. I never watch them but just see the links on Insta stories: organising kitchen cupboards and a handbag video . The kitchen video - WTAF - she must have absolutely nothing to do at all if she has time for this. Scrambling around for lifestyle content and it’s embarassing. Those who fawn over this need to give their heads a wobble. The second video about handbags : there are dupes for the bags that cost a trillion pounds that no ordinary 20 something can afford. Anna has just lost touch. This is a big issue with these first wave influencers who got into this sphere early and must pinch themselves every day as they never would make it now. They then start going high end which bears zero resemblance to their followers anymore. As I have said before I rarely buy anything that these sheeple are schilling as there is zero originality to it they are all just selling the next big thing. I think there are many of us who feel the same. There are a few people in the beauty game who haven’t sold out British Beauty Blogger being one of them
Yes totally. Anna seems a nice person but how the hell has she made a lucrative career out of being so bland? I watched a bit of her 'capshool' vlog the other day . I never ever watch any of the Brit YTers 'My new purchases' as it is always Charlotte fecking Tilbury or Pat McGrath or something equally £££. Never Superdrug or Boots.
Did anyone else use to watch Lauren Luke years ago with her snoring pug? First wave of Beauty YTer and it all seems so long ago and low key.

I don’t have much beef with Anna, I actually find her quite normal compared to most of the influencer monsters out there. Her Sri Lanka vlog was superb too. I just wish she’d ditch Lilly; she’s not good for her.

Just had her summer capsule wardrobe haul from 2017 recommended to me on YouTube. Not a single thing has appeared in the recent videos...

She’s quite private about stuff like that but I’ve been watching her for about six years and have a good memory lol. She often champions an Alzheimer’s charity for any fundraising type things which maybe makes me think that the parent Mark lost was due to early Alzheimer’s. They asked wedding guests to donate to that and she sold two handbags on depop giving the proceeds to that charity and mentioned that it was a cause close to her and Mark’s hearts.
I think in the podcast when Anna and Lily talked about house buying etc., Anna mentioned it was an uncle who died that gave Mark that inheritance, she didn’t mention a parent.

Also, why has she inspired him to do a middle parting? I get creepy guy vibes from his hair now!

I just found, agrees that it is beautifully presented. Looks like the kitchen gets great light. I never realised there was a stained glass feature, it’s quite cool and adds a bit of character. I love their decor but always thought there was something a bit off with their sitting room lay out and the sofas - I remember she said as much about the sofas in an old flat tour.

Interesting that the price was reduced on 10 June, I wonder is the area not especially attractive or are they really on top of their neighbours?
It’s probably the market, prices are starting to plummet, and the fall can be expected to be significant due to Covid and the Brexit shitshow. If they were planning to move on in the nearby future, I think it was wise of them to do it sooner rather than later.

Also, I never realised how huge their place is. There’s something about the decor or her camera angles that makes it look much smaller than it actually is, plus you’d think it’s tiny from the way she always described it as a very humble and modest tiny flat. I mean 85 sqm is more than enough for 2 people even if she works from home, considering nothing she does requires a dedicated or specially equipped work space. This has totally opened my eyes to see that she’s not as down to earth as she pretends to be.

I watched her latest video and saw Lily’s Instagram story. Neither of them have addressed how privileged they are to be able to stop using their Chanel bronzers and foundations and buy 3/4 Fenty ones and other bits of makeup because the shades are more inclusive. They shouldn’t be giving airtime to non inclusive brands but A) we’ve been aware of this issue for years and they still chose to support white only brands and B) not very many of us can choose to just bin our makeup and buy loads of new high end products
THANK YOU! When she mentioned throwing out the Chanel bronzer I literally yelled out “THAT’S NOT HOW YOU ANTI-RACIST”. So privileged to be able to do this PLUS she wants to come off as more sustainable/minimal and throwing stuff out because it’s not iNcLuSiVe, but that is so wasteful. Just use it up, acknowledge it’s only available in one shade and move on.

I’m actually really disappointed she didn’t mention Bon Appetit, but not surprised. I would’ve much preferred her mea culpa regarding her fangirliness of BA rather than “Chanel isn’t inclusive so I can’t use it”. Pretty sure all of her cookbooks are written by white women, even though they’re very “infusion”.

No mention of her partnerships with Topshop or H&M (& Other Stories, Arket, etc.) who both 100% profit off the backs of Black and Brown women. Ganni also got called out because of lack of inclusivity.

Oh, and let’s not kid ourselves that Peloton doesn’t appropriate Black culture and exude “exclusivity” (in terms of price, the space needed to house the bike, the time commitment to make the investment worth it, etc.).
