Maybe if your hair is long enough try putting it up in a tight bun of some sort so limited hair is exposed to the smoke. I remember when I used to smoke going to the hairdressers they would wash your hair and I could smell the smoke in it myself, hence giving up as let’s face it it stinks.Tattlers!
Anyyone any good tips for removing cigarette smoke from hair?
So basically I work in domiciliary care and I go to different peoples houses throughout the working day.
So today for example the house I visited had been smoking heavily and was still smoking as I entered, though they quickly put it out it was all lingering in the air.
My hair (and uniform) STINKS, I don't want to wash my hair every single day as it causes it to go greasy and also I like to limit washing as my hair is bleached but in good condition.
I've tried perfume but doesn't lift it, not keen on dry shampoo, so bar driving with my head out the window, I don't know what to do
My uniform isn't an issue as it's clean everyday and we are supplied with plenty.

Some dry shampoos are a bit fragranced, not sure how well they would work but I think you can pick them up for around £1
Thanks everyone, I got a leave in condition spray from a salon, it smells unreal, can be used to refresh and was expensive enough so hopefully that will sort it.
Just with highlights (bleached) I want to avoid drying it out, my hairdresser would say wash it every 3 days but not everyday.
Also hopefully I won't be with this particular client for long.

Not really a problem as such but more looking for any advice on best places to eat around London, want to treat the folks to a lovely dinner but having never been before I've 0 clue what's good, can't really be doing top end places that's £20+ for a meal pp, but I could do say mid range like £10 to £15 pp for a meal, it might be a long stretch trying to find a good place at that range, places here average between the £10 an £15 for a meal but it's not a city so not sure what London will take, we aren't fussy either when it comes to meals, an we will be staying around Camden but I am sure I can venture further just so long as it's not going be like a few hours bus ride away lol
£10 to £15 per head for a main do you mean? Or a whole meal?
In London, that won’t go very far at all. Even some of the well known chain style restaurants will be way above that.
like @BettyCrockerr says, £10-£15 pp really isn’t going to go far in london, especially for a “nice” meal and drinks etc.
there’s so much choice that it’s honestly impossible to recommend somewhere without more detail - what type of cuisine are you looking for? do you want to stay in camden or go further afield? do you want a chain restaurant or somewhere unique?
realistically, you’re going to be paying way more than the budget you’ve mentioned though.
Yeah it would just be for a main, I know drinks will be extra which is why I don't want to be paying like £25 for a meal and then drinks on top of it, an it would be each, ideally I don't want to be going above around £75 for the 3 of us
Honestly am fine with whatever cuisine, my mum isn't too keen on Indian but she will still eat it, doesn't matter if its a chain or not, and either Camden or a few miles out will be fine, just not above say 10 miles out as we are probably going be around that area

What a lovely thing to do for your parents. We had a perfectly pleasant meal at a Cafe Rouge near Camden. It was a two course fixed menu at around £16 if memory serves correctly. I know it's still a chain restaurant but a little nicer than your average pub grub.
Thanks I'll check it out, am actually paying for the 3 of us to go down an stay for 2 nights so just trying to save as much as I can with things, it's already cost a far bit for trains an hotel, I won tickets to the HP studios so that will take up one day an wanted a nice meal for dinner on the day we get down
Try Gloria in shoreditch! My favourite restaurant in London by far. Such a pretty place and the food is amazing. I think they also have sister restaurants. The carbonara is £16 and comes out in a wheel of Parmesan and is tossed at the table so you definitely get a bit of an experience there as well
