Ladies… a really random/embarrassing one 😂

does anyone else struggle with terrible feet? Any cures?? I have thick thick skinboth big toes and on the outer side of each foot under the baby toe. The skin under my feet constantly feels tight and hot, all I can bare to wear are runners. My feet are in agony/cut to bits if I wear any other type of shoe even Birkenstocks. I can’t wear Vans/Converse etc. I have been fitted and definitely wear my correct size and don’t have particularly narrow or wide feet.

I wash and moisturize my feet daily, use a thicker cream at night before bed, I’ve tried the pumice stones/buffers/salicylic acid cleanser. Tried all the socks/treatments from chemist and Amazon…

sorry for the disgusting post 😭 but they’re actually getting me down, dreading this summer and having my feet be hot and swollen all the time…
Converse don't seem to be too supportive for feet and the rubber toe bit rubs my toes , I can’t wear them either . Sketchers, Hotter and Shuropody probably sell footwear than is better anatomically for feet.

Are the painful areas where there is pressure when you stand ? Does lifestyle factors make this worse, like standing at work , or being barefoot? You aren't diabetic, are you?

Paddling in the sea may provide short term relief.

I bought a camelbak rip off from Amazon last year, forgot all about it and left it hanging in my garage still with water in the bladder. It might have been squash actually 🤷‍♀️ Can I clean it after all this time or shall I just bin it and try and get a new bladder?? If I can clean it what’s the best thing to use? Thank you 😊

@BettyCrockerr yes hard skin and just general pain, I don’t know does everyone go through this and I’m just weak! 🙈 I’ve just been thinking lately if I get invited to any event or wedding etc I don’t know what the hell I’ll do.. I feel the pumice stone is never out of my hand!!!

@Kim Mild I’m a sea swimmer and it’s definitely soothing on the feet!!! Not diabetic but when I Google my feet issues diabetes always pops up.. I might have to ask some diabetics for tips 😀. I’m fine if I’m standing/walking around all day in runners just seem to have so much hard skin and underneath Part of my feet is always hot. I can’t even go 30 minutes in a loafer, boots, anything other than runners… might just be low pain tolerance 🙈

have you looked up “burning feet syndrome”? (it has a fancier name but i can’t remember it 🤣)

it’s slightly concerning if the soles of your feet are always hot. i know it’s a symptom of diabetes so, like you say, there may be some tips there. have you tried wearing those cooling gel pads/patches in your shoes to help the pain? it sounds so uncomfortable and i feel for you :(

Sorry not really a ‘problem’ but ladies I need your help! Where do you recommend for bras? I’ve been looking all night and the ones I love are just so expensive for the one bra, I’ve had a good clear out so I’m in need of a few! I usually get them from M&S just because they’re good quality but non are taking my fancy 😢 I have bought a few from Ann summers before but I think the quality is pretty naff! I saw some gorgeous ones on savage x fenty thought I was in for a bargain so added loads to my basket and didn’t realise they were only less than half the price because it’s a £49 monthly subscription 🙃 I’m 25 so I do like more of the pretty lacy bras but still do need that support! Thank you 😊 ❤

Someone in the running thread may have some better advice.

The best thing to clean (I use this for my bottles) I think is milton / baby bottle cleaner. Just had a quick look on Google and there are videos talking you through to clean it.

Has anyone ever took action in stopping junk mail? I have a sign on my door but it's clearly not working, am tired of the endless junk an charity bags being posted, it just takes room up in the bins an they are only emptied once a month, I know for some that it's no problem just to dump it in bins but am literally getting up to 10 junk mail items per day every day here, its beyond a joke now

I've tried all that an junk from the royal mail has been limited but the biggest problem is these people that come round with bags an just post that aren't controlled by royal mail, mainly these charity bags, garden/cleaner company's etc

I mean, I’m not sure there’s really anything you can do. Unless you shove them in a post box marked return to sender?

Block up your letter box? :ROFLMAO: There isn't much you can do. I mean you could send them back to the companies in an envelope without a stamp, but thats effort for you and they won't know where it came from.

We get a few leaflets pretty much everyday, I just pick them up and bin them. Takes about 3 seconds.
