Aww poor cat, she is grieving. I would revert the cat litter back to the one you were using previously, my cat is extremely fickle and will only likes one certain brand. Try a plug in feliway, they help during periods of stress. She probably just needs time

can you say you don’t have plans this weekend and you just want a chilled weekend at home?
Or say you’re having a close family gathering so you are not free?
I've said specifically what i'm doing and he has sort of invited himself along! I don't want to be too blunt with my response, the people pleaser part of me wants to say maybe another time but truthfully i'm not a fan of this person.

What on earth have you got 6 bins for?

- green bin (general waste/non recycling)
-blue bin (recycling)
-(brown bin) seasonal for grass/garden waste

what else have you got?

if it’s so much of an issue, get a small garden incinerator from B&Q or B&M for £20 and just burn your paper/cardboard instead of using a bin?
I have green for general
Red for plastic an tin
Blue for paper an cardboard
Brown for garden an pet waste
Black for clothes an electrics
Gray for food
An diapers are white bags that get left out

I can see the original question has been left so ill leave it now

I can’t get the details of who it is, they won’t give them to me. But I honestly don’t think I hit any car, I’ve got no damage on my car. But they’re then saying I’ve hit it, the car park was pretty empty and there was nobody around to even witness it. So I’m wondering if they’re just trying to claim for precious damage or something. My insurance said unless they’ve got concrete proof it won’t hold.

I’ve got told to not admit anything or say I was at the Asda
It is possible that someone saw you hit a post and is trying to claim from you for damage they already had, I wouldn't put it past people to be so devious.

I would probably follow the advice of your insurance company if they have advised you not to admit fault.

Does anyone have any dog /puppy advice?

We just rehomed a 9 month old pug, she's settled in great so far, she is eating and toileting fine, great with my children, great out on the lead, but she seems to have some separation anxiety.
I know pugs are clingy anyway, but she's barking and crying just at us leaving the room, so we're worried about leaving her in the house alone.
Also the previous owners had her in bed with them which is a habit I would like to break, along with getting her to be confident when we leave the house. Any tips? Is this even possible?
It sounds like others have offered helpful solutions already, but just to add ... I find a radio to be fantastic for new (adopted) arrivals into our home (who are typically older animals).

I try to spend as much time with them as I can, but obviously need to go out occasionally without them, so will pop a radio on a talkback station, just so they can hear people chatting. Music might be okay too, but in my experience just general chatter works fantastically.

We had one precious dog who used to always get separation anxiety whenever my husband would travel to another city for work at the end of the weekend. He'd sulk and carry on - would eat his food and go to bed, but wouldn't even look at me. We got around that by getting my husband to record some things on a dictaphone recorder, which I would play back to him. It worked far better than I thought it would! I'd hide the dictaphone machine in various places and he thought it was a great game, trying to find his dad. He'd give up after a while.

It sounds like you've nailed the sleeping situation - often, so long as they can see you from where you are, that will keep them happy. I'd actually advise against having a rehomed dog in the bed anyway, as it could well turn on you (not trying to scare you, but dogs are unpredictable - I've even known of cuddly Labradors who've snapped suddenly snapped out of the blue).

Blonde angel you’re putting wayyy too much time into this non issue 🫣 absolutely no reason to message him, archive that chat and put the phone down!!!
That’s what I’ve done, I’m hardly on WhatsApp anyway it’s mainly to contact work colleagues or my sister 🤷🏼‍♀️ Most of the time I go days not going on there

I personally don’t think he would feel like he “got to” you if you blocked him. How I see it. That’s how you take back your power.

I don’t want to be rude when I say this, but. He didn’t want to message you last time he unblocked you. You started the chat and he blocked you because he got a reaction from you. He’s more than likely unblocked you again hoping for the same. Probably wont message you back. But he will be sat there smug thinking “Haha, see I got her where I want her. I block her. Unblock her and she comes running”. You blocking him not only sends the message to him your not interested in his pathetic games. It also stops him from blocking and unblocking you in the future
I get where you’re coming from but I keep thinking blocking him would be a reaction to him unblocking me 🤷🏼‍♀️ Like I think if I block him he knows I’ve seen that he’s unblocked me but I think maybe It’s just worth leaving it and that’s my reaction to it not being bothered, not doing anything not messaging him at all.
I just find it weird why do this and not message but especially when his girlfriend is moving in with him it’s just strange

But you were at the Asda, no?

I'd just think of it this way - if someone hit your car you'd expect and want them to be honest about it to get it resolved.
I was at the Asda, BUT this is my issue. Surely if I’ve hit a car my car would have damage on it? So I’m denying everything to my insurance.

can anyone help with how long these things take to resolve?

If you see the cats, then use a hosepipe on them every time you see them even look at your garden. If not, get a motion sensor garden spray that will spray them every time they come into your garden. I have cats and I'm fully on board with anyone doing this to them if they go into their garden.

Or you can push plastic forks into the ground so the tines sick up, making it so they can't walk on that part of the garden anymore.
Unfortunately it's the front garden and isn't easy to get anything in it as it is a narrow raised bed sitting on stones.

There isn't a lot of space between the flowers and around the bed is solid.

They keep pooing on the sleeper or the gravel 😫

Has anyone ever took action in stopping junk mail? I have a sign on my door but it's clearly not working, am tired of the endless junk an charity bags being posted, it just takes room up in the bins an they are only emptied once a month, I know for some that it's no problem just to dump it in bins but am literally getting up to 10 junk mail items per day every day here, its beyond a joke now
you could try the options listed here: https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/post/stop-getting-junk-mail/

This is very trivial but I'd be interested to know what others would do in this situation:

Went to in-laws at Christmas and complimented their sodastream, I'd never seen anything like it and liked the idea of making my own carbonated drinks. I liked it so much that I went and bought one myself and they are not cheap!

Fast forward to last weekend and the in laws came to stay, bringing a present with them - a soda stream! I looked at my husband and he was acting thrilled like we didn't have one sitting in the kitchen so I followed his lead...

Now I don't know what to do! I would just give mine away but I paid a bit more for a nice looking one with glass bottles and the one they've bought us is quite basic looking with plastic bottles. I'm so grateful of the thought and would have loved it had i not already bought one  Would you just suck it up and give away the nice one and replace with the one the in laws gave you?
If it was me, I’d sell the one your in-laws gifted you, and then use the money to buy them a gift back. (Something for Christmas, Birthdays .. etc). And not tell them, and hope they never notice that the one in your kitchen is not the one they bought.

I promise I’m not dirty when I say this
But for about a few days now I’ve had no more than 2-3 flies in my house. I’ve hunted high and low to see if there’s something they are attracted too. But have been unable to find anything. I’ve cleaned up. I’ve mopped up. Ive bleached. I’ve used zoflora. I’ve just (within last hour) moved my outdoor bins as they were originally under the kitchen window (on outside) I empty my kitchen bin regularly but I can’t seem to get rid of them! I’ve left windows open. They don’t seem to leave. They’re not multiplying either. So doesn’t seem to be somethinf that will cause an infestation but they are SO annoying. It seems like the same 2-3 all the time. How can I get rid of them?
We are having a similar issue with flies at the moment and I've done much the same as you, including moving my bins and seen little improvement. In all honesty I think it might just be the time of year/heat etc causing it. I did buy some of those sticky tape things and pin them up by doors/windows to see if that helped but in all 4 tapes I stuck up I caught a whopping... wait for it....... ONE fly! So they were a load of rubbish really :ROFLMAO:

So I've just tested positive for Covid 🙈 gutted isn't the word! As I understand it a LFT is all I need for confirmation, I don't need a PCR? But I do need at least 2 LFT on Day 5/6. I have enough LFT for this, but not if it goes on any longer. But where do I get extra LFT from?! They are not available online, and they are rarer than hen's teeth at the local pharmacies (which I can't get to myself). How do they expect us to do LFTs if they aren't making them available?!
I don't think you're required to test come Friday .

They are new. 😲
They do last ages when they are fully charged when the kids use them.. it's just when they are not being used they turn themselves on and the batteries run down within the week. so when the kids get here a week later and go to use them they are very low battery

I just wondered if there is a way to stop them from turning themselves on. I can understand if they were just on standby.
Don’t understand why they’re turning themselves on if they’re shut down? I know once I plug the charger into my sons it springs to life even if fully shut down but once I shut it down again it stays that way until it’s powered on again, maybe check the settings and see if there’s something there that making it turn on again.

I’m currently filling out the form to renew my provisional driving licence but don’t know which option to tick. It went out of date years ago and as I had given up on the idea of lessons I threw the card license away 🤦‍♀️ If I say renew with a new photo I think I need to send my old one with the application, but I don’t have it. It’s not lost or stolen either.
Does anyone know which option to choose before I contact DVLA?
