Yes it was a right pain for me when doing an equity transfer. I ended up going into my local branch to make the arrangements in person, it's the best way to do it if you can. Unfortunately far too many people these days still end up losing their life savings to scammers and such, so I do understand why they do it - even if it is a pain!
There is no branch which is half of the issue, I haven't been able to get through to the team who can actually help me all day, I just keep hitting a brick wall 😩

I've literally just got 'if you can't do what you've been asked then tough' basically, not helpful at all, I am genuine and it's all genuine money earnt, if I could just speak to someone who isn't just a standard CS person I'm sure it could be easily resolved. So frustrating just not being able to discuss anything anymore

My manager asked me to do something which isn’t so much higher than my pay grade and I’m not paid to assess. Not sure what I should say but I don’t know why I would have to use my time and mental energy figuring something out which I’m not qualified to do. I don’t know why she’s picking my brains but I don’t want to be rude and I have got my own things to get on with.

Only just found this thread but have a random problem so hoping for some advice! Mine and my bfs house has a large gravel driveway, we didn’t put it down, the previous owners did and they did a massive bodge, didn’t put any membrane done and it’s literally weee central! Also, the neighbourhood cats see it as one giant litter tray! Our cats don’t go there, but neighbours have seen other cats from the area and it’s getting to be a real problem! The half bury it in the gravel, you can’t see it and well, you can imagine it’s a pain and not fun having to go digging around in the stones to fish it out….the plan eventually is to pull up the stones weedkill properly, lay a membrane and put the stones back, topping them up at the same time as it needs more…..loads of people have gravel driveways, but do they all have this problem? Does anyone have a gravel driveway and have this issue or have any ideas/thoughts as to how we can stop it being used as a giant litter tray 😩😩😩 ideally we’d concrete/resin it, but we can afford that any time soon so it’s not an option sadly and we just have to work with what we’ve got and can afford! Any advice very much welcome!!!!
If you are prepared to clear the weeds and poop, you could look at something like this - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vuba-EASIH...9397155487-B0FHQVHGSK-&hvexpln=0&gad_source=1

Sorry I’m not well so not explaining properly.

Would the DWP allow me to use the money for debts if the will doesn’t say that’s what it’s for? All it says is “reflection of love”, or would I be expected to live on the money?

Im not trying to not pay my debts, the opposite, trying to show willing and reduce them. Just really unwell, being bullied by my family, without any help and not good with words. Sorry.

I really want wraps for my lunch next week but everytime I make wraps and try to roll them, the wraps get holes in them or never as tight as they should be. I’ve added less food in the middle to see if that helps - it doesn’t!
Anyone got any videos I could watch that makes it sink in on how to do a tortilla wrap?!

I’m not a fan of feeding urban foxes. They can find their own food perfectly well and wild animals should not be made reliant on humans for their food. It also encourages rats.

There are a few areas where I work where there’s a huge problem of over-feeding - basically people fly-tipping unsuitable food saying ‘it’s for the birds and animals’. I’ve seen people dumping piles of cooked rice, whole loaves of bread, pasta, curry, mouldy pastry, left over meat and when you confront them, they honestly think they’re helping the wildlife. Mate, come down here at night and the only wildlife eating are hundreds of rats swarming the area.
I read about this regarding a park in a nearby area. The local paper did an article on how people leaving food/feeding the ducks/swans had left the ground littered with food and the pond too.
This has led to the park being overrun with rats especially near the pond.
Visitors to the park were now screaming for the Council to do something about the vermin......

I'm not planing on making it a big deal with school but I'd i like opinions as it feels off,
My 5 year old swallowed a coin at school school (it happens no fault of school)
They rang me saying she was sick come pick her up (they didnt know at this point)
I turned up and they said she's just admitted to swallowing a coin.
We were quickly ushered off the site, I had to find my own way to the hospital. Which is fine I did, but surely she was under their care so surely yes have a parent attend but for their own back make sure the child attends a&e
you’re her parent so it’s your obligation to take her to A&E not theirs. they’ve done their bit by calling you. how would they have made sure she’d attended A&E?

I see this probably as you turning up relieved them of the duty to take her.
But a quick google also just showed me a school has no obligation to take a child to hospital.

Anecdotally, as I know the official line is ‘none of them’, but has anyone had experience of a contraceptive pill that didn’t increase appetite or known to be less likely to? Thanks

All my shoes come from FitFlop now. I've had so many foot/knee operations that I find them the most comfortable.

My feet have got wider thanks to the menopause 🙄 so I had some insoles made by the NHS podiatrist and got some wider sneakers from D B Shoes which are nice and bloody comfortable!
I ordered fitflops recently but found them so narrow 😭 ended up getting birkenstock bend low trainers which have a really wide toe box!

Never played a video game in his life and rarely watches tv, the school have said that he’s an ideal student and never disruptive, and he hangs out with the quieter, nicer kids, it’s been a complete shock to see him do this and enjoy it as I can’t point to something in his life and say it must be learned from that
Don't feel bad, it could just be a random little one off, maybe he couldn't say why because deep down he truly doesn't know why an sort of panicked

I'd say if it starting to become a thing maybe see if the school can offer some CBT, I don't know if his school will have councillors, I know most schools are at least trying to have mental health therapists now, if not the doctors could hopefully offer some guidance

Is there a way you could talk to the parents of his friends? See if they have noticed any slight differences in his behaviour, I know you said that he hangs out with the quieter nicer kids but sometimes that behaviour is only seen at school an in front of parents, and alone is completely different, so I'd maybe have a talk with both your son about how he feels being around his friends, an then talk with their parents, it could even be something stupid as him being dared to do it by a friend

This is a problem for a while away but I need time off work next January for my granddad's special birthday. With how my shifts work I need to swap to days to have them off. Do you think it's too early to ask the people I could swap with now? Should I wait a few months

Anyone have a filtered water tap/machine? Fed up of buying bottled water (from Costco). We drink a lot of it so wouldn’t want a Brita jug.

Has anybody had any experience with banks not letting you empty your account? We've been saving in an account to pay off our mortgage, I've tried to transfer it and now they're asking for loads of stuff I don't have before they will let me withdraw any
