I keep dreaming about my ex, we split 7 years ago and I’ve been in a very happy relationship with my new partner for 5 years, but it’s 2-3 times a week and I always wake up feeling really weird. It was a pretty messy split, we were together 11 years, had planned to get married, and we split because he cheated.
I hate waking up feeling like I miss him, and I’ll never contact him, but I just start overthinking
I have very realistic dreams as well and the issue is when you wake up you wake up with all those feelings, DESPITE knowing none of it happened! 😅 It really does feel like cheating sometimes

I would try and work through the feelings as you'll keep having the dream because you're thinking about it when you are awake
Next time you have the dream acknowledge it and then try to remind yourself of all the reasons why it was shit in the end and about how happy you are now.

Land sickness! I was on a cruise recently (disembarked on Sat) and I have this awful feeling of still being at sea  I am dizzy and feel like I can't walk in a straight line. Was due back at work today but logged on and couldn't focus on the screen, felt as if I was going to fall off my seat! I have had to take today off sick after being off for 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any experience of this or any tips to get rid of it?
I’ve not had what you have but whenever I’ve felt seasick on a cruise I have the tablets, kwells I think! Have you tried them? Not sure if they would work on land though

Got teachers in the family an they say that 90% of the gifts end up being donated because they just don't have the room to be keeping everything or really need 20 pens or 10 mugs with "best teacher" on it, so I wouldn't stress, I'd just give the teacher that teaches your kid something like a box of chocolates
I work with the wife of a teacher and she brings in about 10 boxes of chocolates at Christmas and end of July that are gifts her husband/the family won't eat. She said he prefers gifts of beer or wine as they can drink or regift.

For 6 years she bought in a beautiful Christmas cake, as one of the mums made it and decorated it as a gift, but none of their family like fruit cake.

Has anyone bought stuff off Amazon an its had a voucher option displayed on it? I need new units an they have a 30% voucher option I can click on for all of them, there's nothing else that I can see that explains why am getting it, just wondering if there's a catch to them that am not seeing, it's bringing my total from £249 to £99, which seems like a great buy but I also don't want to be unknowingly signing up to something I can't get out of, I've never seen these voucher options before on anything previous I've bought
Yes, had before on random things - some kitchen stools one time I remember - usually higher cost items, than small things.

Does anyone know if you can do a bleach wash/bath on highlighted hair?
I’ve been having a root melt but went to another hairdresser & she screwed it up. I had T-section today (wanted to go lighter anyway) but as suspected (not down to the hairdresser) it’s taken in particular areas but not so well in others (where the root smudge was applied). Wondering if I might just be able to do it on some areas or if it will ruin the highlights? 😬
Don't attempt to do it at home, I had a nightmare once with over bleached highlights and ended up spending £150 having it corrected at another hairdresser. Took them nearly 5 hours too - it had to be treated, conditioned, treated, conditioned...... I was losing the will to live. Only good thing is that I've now stuck with them and never had a bad hair do since!

Would it maybe be the NHS or the care committee? I think it's usually you try them direct first but then they would know it was you, so maybe trying the NHS would allow for you to be anonymous
I actually looked up yhe care commission but you could only complain about care you receive. Not the state of the Healthcentre. Honestly I’ve not been in ages but it was digusting. If it was a restaurant I would’ve walked straight out

My work are potentially changing our shifts. Any holidays already approved will have to be given. But they are at the moment saying we can only book 3 months in advance, usually it's a year in advance we can book. Some of us are annoyed as it means we can't plan things. And obviously with summer coming up people with kids will be wanting to book holidays for the summer and things will start getting fully booked soon. It's unlikely we will know about our shifts change until April at the earliest. Do you think it's wrong for us to complain about the holiday situation?
As far as I know they can’t just change working conditions. One of which is holidays. There must be a legitimate reason.
Maybe contact CAB and see what they say

I’m tempted to say no, do they refer to the address in other parts of the contract?
I’m not entirely sure, but the landlord is asking them to leave the property in 4 days with no notice. I’ve told them to go to citizens advice as soon as it reopens for advice

Has anyone ever ordered something not I the wrong address? I’ve stupidly ordered something to the wrong address, I’m too far away to ‘pop around’ there to speak to the new resident.
Store isn’t particularly helpful. Is there anything that I can do?
Many thanks 💗
Sometimes when the tracking details are issued you can go in and set a diversion?

Hi all

So I received a letter today from the police collision process unit stating that at 14:10 on 3rd Jan 2025 my car was involved in a road traffic accident on X road in X town, where it is suspected that the driver may have committed an offence in contravention of the road traffic act 1988.

My car hasn’t been in any accident nor do I believe it has caused any accident.. the weird thing is, I WAS in X town on the date mentioned, as my friend lives in that town and I was visiting her. I drove from my town to X town and arrived at my friends house at 13:00, my car was parked on my friends road which is not X road and isn’t near X road, and I then drove home at 16:00 so my car wasn’t actually being driven at 14:10.

I have also had a look at my route to and from my friends house and I am 99% sure I didn’t go on X road.

I need to fill in a form and return, which is difficult because the form is asking if I was the driver at the time of the alleged offence or if I wasn’t, then who was, but doesn’t give an option to say that my car was not in an accident, they also haven’t said what the offence is and I’m reluctant to tick the ‘I was the driver at the time of the alleged offence’ without knowing what it was, especially as I wasn’t driving my car at that time…

I’m just really confused, especially as I actually was in the town on that date!

I will include a covering letter detailing the above with my form.

Any advice? Could it be that a car with a similar number plate was involved in a car accident and it just so happened that I was in the same town on the same day at the same time!?

I didn’t think of the GDPR regulations you’re right. How can someone be using it purposely no one has been in my iCloud will they have access to my actual phone. Yes I will have to speak to someone maybe although management is rubbish
They shouldn't have access to your actual phone, that would be if it was hacked which is something totally different, but doesn't WhatsApp show your mobile number? On your profile? I don't use it much apart from work as our work phone has an account an whenever someone messages me I can see their number, same as if I message them, it sounds like someone has seen it an is probably doing random online surveys an using your number instead

My housemate keeps waking me when she gets ready for work in the morning due to how thin our walls but a little bit due to her making uncessary sound.

I’m thinking about getting loop earplugs as normal ones don’t really do the job and fall out in the night lol

I was just thinking about the ones at £19 because the sleep ones are £45.
Anyone had them or can recommend a cheaper brand? Lol

It could be a similar plate or a clone plate. I was told that my car had been in an accident, I was told when, but not where, or what the accident was. I had actually sold the car back to the garage I originally purchased it from, and they confirmed it had not been involved in an accident, and I was able to prove where it was on that day. I only found out as my insurance had rocketed due to an 'accident'

I’m an allergy sufferer too. Have they put you on antihistamines for it and it’s those that aren’t working? I have chronic hives and my allergist put me on 3x antihistamines a day but I can up to 4 if needed, more than that if I’m having a really bad flare. but mine have always been the non drowsy ones, fexofenidine and cetirizine.
It sucks doesn't it! I’m on Fexofenadine which used to be good but now they aren’t working at all! Just hitting dead ends as they want me to see the gp but I CAN’T actually see the gp! Phoned again this morning and said i really NEED an appointment but she just said they were full and told me again to get E-consult which I’ve already done. I’m just desperate now as it makes you feel so wooly headed and tired!😪 I took another dose of my Fexofenadine this morning as I was desperate but it’s just not doing anything.

Keep pushing. It’s your right. You’re not being a pain in the arse.
It amazes me they can manage home visits for the very elderly who’re being kept alive by medication but can’t find appointments for the young and relatively healthy then wonder why people are getting sicker! It’s a shambles but you shouldn’t have to suffer.
I just feel crappy as I know it’s a rubbish time of year for the gp’s and it doesn’t really need an in person appointment! I know what I’m allergic to, the pills before worked fine without any bother so really it could just be a phone consult to either increase the dose or change the pills. Phoned again this morning and just got told to e-consult again, nightmare!

Since I’ve given out my personal number to work, I didn’t really want to but didn’t want to be the only person to refuse for the work WhatsApp group with about 30 people, I’ve been getting casino texts, random gambling ones and some from fake email addresses. I’ve never had this before and I’m not sure why it is or what’s causing it?

I have a friend who is asking whether their tenancy agreement is valid. The tenancy is an ast and has been signed by the landlord and tenant however the address part wasn’t filled so it is blank. Is the tenancy agreement still valid?
I’m tempted to say no, do they refer to the address in other parts of the contract?

I’ve got allergies and take medication for it. The medication I take isn’t working anymore so I’ve rang the docs who said I need to physically see the gp. Didn’t really want to as I know it’s allergies as it’s been confirmed previously and really I just need a change of medication.

Try to make an appointment with my gp to try and move to a different medication. I can’t do this as they don’t have any appointments for the month and you can’t prebook after that. Told receptionist that I don’t feel I need a physical appointment but a phone one would be fine if they are available. It’s literally a 5 min conversation of “my pills don’t work, can you put me on something else please? But nope I can’t book one of those either.

She advised an e-consult. So did that, was told I’d hear back yesterday via email. Haven’t had a response.

I really don’t know what to do! Do I phone up the gp AGAIN saying I haven’t had a response? I don’t want to be a pain in the arse as I know it’s just allergies and other people have more serious health issues but honestly I feel shit and slightly annoyed that a simple request is being so problematic. I’m tempted to just double up on my current meds to see if that works but I’m a bit iffy about not being advised to do that and plus that means I will go through my current prescription too quickly before I’m able to order more.
Help!

Is it normal to just not retain anything?? 🙈 we had a training at work this morning with a quiz after, I flicked through the slides and then answered the Q’s fine… but then everyone was chatting about it this afternoon and bringing up certain points, once I X’d out I completely forget everything and wouldn’t even be able to put a few sentences together about what the training entailed…

I will also watch the same things on TV or same films and even though I know I’ve seen it, I’ll have completely forgotten what the episodes are about or what happens! Same with books, I know I’ve read it but couldn’t give you two lines on the plot…

Is this normal?!!
Poor memory can be linked to a lot of things, have you been quite stressed lately? Or been having poor sleep?

I'd look up what can give poor memory an then go down the list, if everything seems fine then I'd look more into it, but could be other things going on that might be the cause of it
