I have a colleague who just blurts out and says whatever’s on their mind whenever. I find some of the things they say inappropriate and definitely not related to work. One day they even say I would love to kill so and so and I don’t get whether it’s suppose to be banter? Either way it’s making me uncomfortable and I’m not sure why they think it’s ok to say such things with confidence and knowing they’ll be fine. If I were to come out with half the things they do I would be sacked. Don’t know whether to say some of the things you say are inappropriate at work and you’re making me uncomfortable?

Is 7:30/8pm too late to cut grass? I could do it now but I know I'll need to shower afterwards and I want to wait until tomorrow to shower as I'm going out Wednesday. I have dog training until 7pm tomorrow so was hoping I can do it after that

So recently a cat has taken to shitting next to our bins. Not sure why, or who it belongs to but I have a toddler so I clean up enough 💩 without dealing with this and it’s obviously not safe for him to be near/come into contact with. Any tips for dealing with this?

Long story short a couple of weeks ago I had an argument with someone and kicked them out of my house. They left their ear stretchers here.
How long do I keep them before I throw them? They've not messaged re collecting them and I don't have their address to drop them off or post.
I don't really want to message them to arrange collection either
Do you know anyone who knows them?

Stansted will work. Any one of them will require a train or bus but they’ll all take you into central London. They usually have express trains straight through.
Thanks, I've only ever been down to London once an it was a few years ago with a train, flying will be new to me an I have no sense of direction going into a city I know nothing about 😅

No, they won’t need a taxi from the airport to the train station. at Luton, there’s a rapid transit train thing now from the airport to the train station.
At Gatwick the train station is walkable. Same at Heathrow and Stansted.
Yeah, but isn’t that to the airport train station? That doesn’t go to London

Does anyone know how accurate the quotes are on price comparison websites for gas and electric? Octopus quoted me (on their website) about £100 a month. Every other provider is half that. I pay £85 per month now for a flat double the size.

I had this a couple of years ago and I would just Google the person's name followed by court roll and always seemed to work. I am in Scotland though so don't know if they are called something different elsewhere.

so washing machine broke down, laudry was piling up so bought one on a whim from facebook marketplace. Asked the seller if its works, reassured me twice that it does. however now that I've used it there seems to be problems. it makes a looooot of noise when spinning. plus i forgot to check if it has a shorter cycle, the shortest it has is 30 mins at only 30 degrees and the other options are 2 hours. disregarding th cycles have i been scammed cause of the noise of spinning.
No, it would fall under “buyer beware”. Technically it is working and private sellers aren’t obligated to point out issues 😕 Make sure you’ve got it level and aren’t overloading it, they can affect the noise.

You're not really going to be able to use one card as you tap the card to walk through the barrier. At a busy station you'll create a bottle neck with one person standing to the side to tap you all through.
Just each use your phone or cash card on contactless to tap against the oyster/card pad at the barrier as you go through here, you tap to get in and tap to get out. .
It'll cost what it costs but there's a maximum charge each day depending if you're peak and what zones you're travelling in, so once you reach that you wont be charged any more. You can still buy paper travel cards too. London Travelcard Prices and Types (londonpass.com)
Thanks for this, I also should have been clearer but it's going be for the buses more, I don't think I'll be using the underground as I really don't like them so it's either going be walking or the bus, can the buses use the paper travel cards as well?

Hello all. Some of you might remember my strange elderly neighbour who moved away and left her cat with me - I had a long peaceful summer with no messages from her. Got some today:

Blurred out is the name of the cat, not as he's under witness protection but because it's an unusual name and I'd like to keep this account private :ROFLMAO:

She hasn't reached out once, so I don't know how she can claim she's heart broken. I think she's a narcissist through and through, and is looking for drama and a way to play the victim more than anything.

So... how would you respond to this in a way that doesn't escalate her emotions or encourage her? She's shown some stalking tendencies before, which makes simply blocking her a little difficult - I still live at the same address that she knows, and has admitted to coming round uninvited (thankfully I was out).
If it’s by text, say who is this?? Pretend you got a new number. Or if it’s by email just make up a load of coding stuff at the top, and reply that the email has been bounced back for security issues. If she’s old she won’t realise

Not a problem as such, but how do you go about finding out when a court trial is? I’m interested in seeing the outcome of a particular trial but it’s not something that’s been reported in the media and I have no idea when it might be held.

Trying to distance myself from people that I’ve outgrown. Not happening very easily. Any advice on how to politely remove myself from their lives without too many questions/accusations that I’m being ‘off’ with them?
If you’re really done, I’d just say thanks for the invite but I need to focus on other areas, trying to be healthy, save money, have a new hobby… whatever makes them want to spend less time with you too.

The next time they make a comment just say it makes you uncomfortable. And if they carry on talk to your manager

I would trust a samsung shop, not so much a local little kiosk
yh theres none near me sadly, but are they ale to open a locked phone?
---
Plug it into a pc or laptop to retrieve your photos first? Or are they in your Google photos / Samsung cloud?
yh i tried but it says i need to allow laptop to access storage on phone
---
There's a Samsung program for your computer (think it's called SideSync), I used it to restore photos from a phone where the screen got damaged.
what??really, ive tried many apps not heard of this one, is it free? do you think it'll work with locked phone

wait i just checked, it says it needs to be downloaded on both devices to work
