Last Thursday I started with stomach pain, took painkillers, didn’t ease it so took some indigestion tablets thought maybe had trapped wind, again didn’t go off, took more painkillers when got home but still in pain, rang 111 they said to go to a&e, felt like wasting time so tried to sleep, rang 111 again about 2.30am Friday morning still in pain just above my hip bone & below my ribs (right side) I then got a shooting pain in my chest, so an ambulance was sent to me about 6am, my stomach was so tender to touch, chest still ached, was taken to hospital I was seen & scanned found I have gallstones, given co-codamol & sent on my way, biggest stone was 1.8cm plus had 2 smaller ones then loads of little ones, I’m still in pain now with what feels like stitch, it hurts to walk, sneeze, cough, even breathing hurts plus my back just aches too, it’s such a sharp pain, rang 111 again for some advice & my GP is going to call me tomorrow sometime in the day, it’s not my appendix that was removed nearly 30yrs ago. Any advice would be great.

I feel for you. Your second to last sentence sounds like when I had pleurisy. I have a big gallstone, no idea how big but they said huge, but the point of what I’m saying is, could it be both?

My GP has rang back, the hosp haven’t said I’ve got gallstones but just asked for an ultrasound scan, so basically given half a story to my GP, I’ve been prescribed naproxen & something to help settle my stomach so I’m hoping that will ease the pain, I don’t have a temperature & going to the toilet ok, so that makes me feel I’m wasting people’s time it’s just this pain that’s driving me mad, bloods came back fine too. Thank you for the replies x

Absolutely not wasting anyone’s time!! If you really are concerned consider how much more time and resource a situation requires if it’s left and gets bad (like appendicitis vs ruptured appendix). Prevention is better than a cure always so if it gets bad again, go in to be seen.
Hope you start to feel better with the meds though.

This should be how it works but I know where I am it doesn’t, sadly. My friends daughter learnt that the hard way. Do go back if you need to and, I know it’s hard when ill, be firm - I don’t mean be rude just explain yourself as clear as you can.

Hopefully the meds will help.

I had cholecystitis and honestly thought I was dying. Needed 6 days on IV antibiotics and have never had a repeat of it - didn't even have gallstones so was incredibly random. Buscopan really helps with the pain - and co-codamol on top.

Ive just seen a rat in my garden 😳 do I need to do anything?
I don't think so apart from general precautions on making sure you manage any bins well etc and maybe keep an eye on it to make sure it's not part of a bigger rat problems but maybe someone else can weigh in

Alternatively was it wearing a chef's hat and responds to the name Remy? If so maybe you can get him to make dinners?

Thanks, it's definitely not wearing a chef hat 😅 i think it might live under my decking. I have rabbits and think it might be after their bedding. Also next door have those bird feeder things.

Sorry this is a very minor query in comparison & sending lots of love & positive vibes to you all! 💜

Can anyone recommend a decent broadband provider (I only want broadband, not TV etc). I’m aware speed/availability is reliant on my new area but I’m moving alone, have been overseas & don’t know wtf I’m doing! 🤣

I've heard before that rats absolutely love decking, it's the perfect place for them to live!

There are comparison sites, just Google best broadband for my area and have a look what's good speed and price. Think we have plus net and happy with it

Been given co-codamol I take them at night because they just knock me out, I’ve been prescribed naproxen & omoprazole (sp?) so hopefully they might work for me. It’s just the constant stitch pain that’s getting me down & the back ache. I’ve been to work today, come home & feel completely drained.

Becareful with co-codomol as it can make you constipated, I personally don’t think it’s that great anyway. naproxen is the good stuff. 💛

It might possibly be getting the rabbit food, make sure the food is way at the back of their cage/hutch so they aren't spilling any of it out, if it's going after the neighbours bird feed it can't be helped but making sure there's absolutely no food around your garden will hopefully help discourage it

we had a field mouse get in the house an it went straight for my room an got into my rabbits food, we seen it in the hall one night an it was like a frigging scene from a TV show with my mum running about screaming, my dad trying to grab it in this tiny little container (like I don't know what tf he was hoping to do with that) me trying grab the rabbit an the rabbit trying knock the hell out the thing 😅 in the end a humaine trap worked an we released it like a mile from the house, didn't look pleased but it wasn't staying
