Thanks for that! Going to keep an eye out on my sons device and take it out with me from now on so he’s not using others phones and seeing stuff he shouldn’t. Going on to block those accounts too to make sure they don’t pop up
Of course it’s down to the individual what you’re happy for them to view, I don’t want to seem all holier than thou and police all content. It’s just worth keeping an eye out as you say because it just suddenly started coming up x

Not really a problem, more general advice

Looking for good cook books, I have bored of lunch an pinch of nom, I need ones I can reheat in a microwave as I take dinner into work so anything that's mostly pasta or fish is out as I've found that those dont reheat great 😕

If it's not slow cooker then I prefer ones I can make quickly as usually I don't have much time to put something together so either I need to shove it all in the slow cooker in the morning or make it within the hour before my work

Look if there are any local groups that teach/help with coding.
Where we are we have a group specifically aimed at women/girls to teach and help with coding. All free run by volunteers
Thanks, I had a look but there's really nothing in my area that offers anything, it seems like collage would be my only option which with work am not able to do

I am getting put through training with my workplace but coding wasn't something they could offer either as it's more just the business, finance, admin etc

Is it definitely a use by date or is it a best before date? Just asked my folks as both are in the food industry an if it's a use by date then they don't recommend going over it's date, if it's a best before then so long as it's kept dry an airtight then it's up to you with how you feel an if you feel it's still good
I seem to remember it saying on the packet best before October 2023.

Has anyone tried Disney+ with Ads? Are there loads?
I want to use some clubcard points for Disney+, and with ads is ‘cheaper’ but if it’s naff it’ll be a waste and I don’t think I can then upgrade if it’s done via vouchers so will be stuck with it.
Thanks
I didn't know you got Disney+ with ads, I did try the Amazon one with ads though an if they are anything alike then Amazon pissed me off with ads practically every 5 mins an they didn't even space them out well, it would happen in the middle of a conversation instead of it happening between scenes

The Amazon ones are on offer at the moment. They have a 2 year guarantee too on the kids ones - if it gets broken they will replace!
Thank you. Do you know if you can download Disney on it? Thank you
---
Personally wouldn’t use the Amazon ones. We had 3 that broke and eventually after complaining we found out the ones they send you as a replacement are actually refurbished and they also all broke within a few months too. We got an iPad mini instead and had no issues and apple customer service was much better than Amazon
Ooooo interesting. Thank you.

There's nothing about it on the community pages an I know a few people in the other estates that's close an they have said they didn't get anything, am going assume it's some sort of scam an most people are thinking that as well, just the first time I've ever had some sort of scam in the design of a "questionnaire" am used to phone calls an texts but not actual mail
If it’s only you that got it I’d be even more concerned tbf. I’d at least check out the company name, google the phone number and address etc.

Yeah it depends what it’s for. Sometimes I tell them but when I’ve had other female issues (I have PCOS and endo) I say it’s a personal issue and they’ve not ever stopped me having an appointment
I'll try an fight them more on it then, there's times I need in to see a doctor an being denied because I won't tell the receptionist what it's for is starting to get ridiculous, sometimes you can't explain over a phone either

Is it rude to take the service charge off a bill even if the service has been good? I’d rather just leave a cash tip at the end of the meal if the service has been worth leaving one.

The other week we were in a restaurant we go to a lot for over 4 hours because the service was that slow. I asked to remove the service at the end which I felt was justified but then I felt dead uncomfortable asking, like they’re gonna be really offended and I don’t know if I am overthinking it. 😱

I worked in a restaurant about 10 years ago which charged a service charge on the bill, and you got an extra £1 an hour added to your wages. Not entirely sure what happened to the rest of it, felt like such a scam as a waitress. If someone asked to remove the service back then a manager had to come and do it and they’d be asking you loads of questions about why they want it removed which was so uncomfortable.

we’re going to London for the weekend and have a few meals booked in quite nice places and I can’t decide if taking off the service is going to be a situation 😅

Mould question. My neighbour has just moved in and, being young and very naieve has no idea about bills or anything really. They don’t understand that the bills will add at least £300 a month to their rent which went up by £150 a month before they moved in. The heater only works over night. WiFi isn’t provided etc.

So their flat has a massive black mold problem (it can be seen other side of street) - last tenant put in hospital due to it sort of problem. Before they showed people around the mouldy curtains were replaced and the place bleached within a inch of its life, furniture binned and everything painted (two weeks ago) yet already the shadow of black mould can be seen..

They’ve blocked the air vents and the landlords thick heavy duty curtains means theres no air flow, which seems to me to be a big problem (well apart from the single glazing kitchen windows, the ill fitting main window 3 inch gap between window and window ledge..) with mould but maybe I’m wrong? They’ve really taken advantage, lying about the cost of bills. He’s has signed to take responsibility of the gardens as well..

How many interviews would people do for a very entry level position that only requires GCSE grades?

I’ve currently had an interview and a short assessment (which seemed like a completely new thing for them and was honestly very silly) and it sounds like they’re planning to invite me for another interview

I’m not sure if I’m overreacting by thinking it’s all a bit silly at this point, especially as they originally rejected me and then invited me back when they put the same advert back up - so I assume there’s a chance I’ll be competing with new applicants anyway. I currently have a job and attending these 30 minute interviews isn’t ideal 😅
It seems about the norm, I've recruited for a similar position recently and HR wanted us to interview twice + short assessment. I can't stand it - we know it's annoying for you, even more so than it is annoying for us :(

I finally, after six weeks, got two dates from social worker to meet with housing department and housing worker and landlord, potentially medical staff as well (last proving difficult due to social worker telling them their diagnosis is wrong)

Good Friday and Easter Monday OR start of May (being evicted after Easter) so May is useless.
They were contacted mid January.

Every person required is unavailable due to those being bank holidays.

Not too sure how to reply. Surely they must realise that as bank holidays no ones going to be available, nor is anywhere to meet? They’ve been a social worker here for well over ten years now (very rural so with the exception of very few shops (7/11 corner shop type) everything closed for the four days).

I did think of forwarding to housing officer/worker via charity and asking them to sort?

ETA another issue is new tenant has a major weed and a drink problem, to the extent my flat stinks of it and it’s making me very unwell. Apparently landlord doesn’t want to know. They’re ringing housing every day about why I’ve not left and sorted my life out yet.

So any advice?
Does it have to be in person? Could you suggest it’s done over zoom or similar then you might have more luck with dates?

Has anyone ever used pillows like these before? I tend to fall asleep on my side/stomach but wake up on my side/back so I’m looking for something comfortable in all positions but will also help reduce some neck strain I’ve been getting.

Yes, we have 3 and all have Disney on. And in regards to them being faulty, have had them for years and had one that got dropped in the bath replaced, and one that was stood on, but no other problems! They are refurbished, but I don't think you can expect them to replace a used one with brand new every time. 🤷‍♀️

Amazon left my parcel on the doorstep. Parcel has been stolen 😠

How easy is it to be refunded? Are they gonna want me to file a police report (my old work did), or will they just refund me? I’m so annoyed. I’ve been home all day, no knock. Was only when I checked my iPad this evening I’ve seen that it was ‘delivered’.
Police report. I had to do the same before Amazon would even listen to me it’s so frustrating
